i dont know why people like lying in this manner.

yahoozeys defraud anybody who they think has money or valuables.

doesnt matter if the person is nigerian or foreign.

they might just find the foreign market more lucrative and easier, especially if they throw in a bit of romance.

coogar:
would u laugh this off? I understand your parents are unable to contribute very much towards the cost of your wedding. (There is nothing wrong with that except that convention is such that one might presume they would have saved over the years for their daughters’ marriages.)
If this is the case, it would be most ladylike and gracious to lower your sights and have a modest wedding as befits both your incomes.
very snobbish no doubt, but some people are like that.

she obviously doesnt consider the girl good enough to marry into her family.

but nothing wrong with the last part about having a modest wedding. The couple dont have to take her advice anyway, if they dont want to.

Gbawe:
She is never unsupervised . I assist her always . The point is that , with supervision and assistance, children can be introduced to responsibilities early instead of pandering to their innate instinct to be detached and lazy. My kids are very hands-on. Anything you do they are keen to get involved . I thank God for that and me and my wife try to encourage them by working safely with them to enable them gain good feedback from real activities. They help me with DIY and they help their mum with baking , cooking and cleaning up.
good thinking, but dont let her near anything that could be considered unsafe at that age.

one can never be too careful supervising children, lord have mercy.

read the story this morning and i think they'd better either laugh it off or end the relationship.

na wa. shocked

obviously the "mil" doesnt want her in that family.

some of the points [eg living within your means] make sense, but a tactful face to face interaction [maybe over tea] might have been better.

she's too young to be in that kind of situation.
