Romance › Re: Giving A Girl Transport Fare When She Comes Visiting by tpiadotcom: 3:14am On Apr 28, 2015
Godmother:
So... I noticed that whenever I visit any of my male friends or even a chiker, they always insist on paying my fare back. Me I always refuse the money, especially if its the first time I'm visiting. Wanna ask, is it like a norn now to give money to a girl when she visits? And I'm I in the wrong for rejecting the offer.
whatever rocks your boat.

^ someone suffering from IBS needs to see a doctor and modify his or her diet.

Putting on a happy face is not what is relevant here.

Attend to your health, not be the life of a party or keep hoping others dont smell your gas.

let's stick to topic plz.

This is how you people keep missing it because you just cant focus on a topic but everything you see is always coloured by your insecurities.

go to health section if you need to discuss IBS, and stop making fun of someone who has an illness, jeez. You think you can never fall sick or die suddenly?

iry5648:
I once listened to a motivational speak about happiness and one thing I picked out from his speech was about not allowing ourselves to be ruled by other peoples judgement. That shouldn't determine our fate . Sometimes we are covered by our blue print which is the way we expect life to be .The secret to happiness lies in our blueprint. If you change your blue print life changes.

For example I know of someone who suffers from an illness known as IBS (Irritable bowel Syndrome) with frequent bloating and indigestion symptoms. People complain about the way she smells due to the excessive flatulence issue but she doesn't let that bother her. She trys as much as possible to ignore people comments and be happy and smile even though it doesn't come from her heart (thats what she said) but she still maintains that smile and positivity and thats because she has changed her blue print about life in this case ignoring what people say and telling herself it doesn't matter what people say or think because that not who she is.

In summary it boils down to maintaining a positive outlook even in impossible/difficult situations(not so easy I must say). You definitely have control over whether to be happy or sad/depressed.
true.

Yes...my inlaws are igbo. I am sure other Nigerian men are skilled talkers...but Yoruba men created the lead! IMO.
really?

I'd say maybe Hausa men (from what I heard). Even parts of the South South as well, the problem is its not only one person that will be "sweet talked" to.

Sex isn't a romance but quality time together is romantic. I don't care for flowers as gifts.
I feel a lot of women consider direct sex talk, as romantic.

It could also be anything that is coming from a man, is considered romantic as long as it showcases admiration of the womanly assets.

Sing me a song on key or off key is romantic to me! grin
how many Nigerian men do that on average? huh

Quite few, unless maybe the ones raised in diaspora or something.

you get your song on the wedding day as part of the festivities. After that, folks will say the man has been fed juju if he does it again.

Family › Re: Can Two Dark People Make A Bright Skinned Baby? by tpiadotcom: 4:51pm On Apr 27, 2015
Dannylux:
A person's physical appearance (phenotype) had little or nothing to contribute in determination of the person's progeny's complexion. It's all about the genes, skin colour determination is hugely genotypical.

These things skip generation. It depends on heterogeneity or homogeneity likewise the dominance or recessiveness of either of the genes (light skin and dark skin genes). It's even possible for you two to birth an albino!

If two of you are carriers(Cc) of dark skin gene.. you'd have a 3:1 ratio of fair to dark skin. If CC.. then you'd have all fair kids but when the recessive gene is homogeneous (cc), in this case, there's only one possibility.. Dark skinned kids all through but does it matter?

There shouldn't be discrimination amongst Africans on the bases of skin colour. Educate your Mum on this.

This is Africa.
