there is no end to history.

sometimes it's better to let sleeping dogs lie and move on if rehashing past events does not lead to any form of closure.

what's done is done and cant be changed.

^^it's the hair, not the head.

women have to fix their hair at all times, unlike men who are always good to go with short haircuts.

the outfits are nice though i think the females would look better and more chic in skirt suits.

or if his bosses can give him the go-ahead.

i did notice awhile back however, that nl prefers people associating at a tribal and not state level.

not trying to excuse racism, but it was a while before italians themselves were considered white.

It is also important to point out that, the last rulers of Lagos /Eko and Bagagry whose bodies were brought to Benin City for burial, were those that immediately preceeded the British Occupation of Lagos in 1850. When Akintoye died, the British authorities refused the body to be taken to Benin City for burial on the ground that Lagos was now a BRITISH TERRITORY. To support their arguement, they forced OBA DOSUMU of Lagos to sign the article of ANNEXATION OF LAGOS as belonging to Britain in 1861.

Fortunately, when dealing with the artwork of Benin, there is a fair amount of oral tradition, and from the late 15th century, European documentation from which to draw information from. It is believed that present dynasty Benin came to be established from Ife.

Traditions record that when an Oba (King) died, his head would be sent to Ife for burial, and in return they would send back a bronze casting of his head to be placed on his ancestral shrine.

how to know someone is a girl on nl:

1. when they zero in on male yoruba posters and start pointing out how "ugly" yoruba women are. They tend to emphasize this out of all proportion to whichever context, then start touting the "beauty", "perfection" and any "good" qualities of their tribe.

2. lots of Hot talk, especially when talking to yoruba males

3.

4.

Politics › Re: Can Lagoon State Really Come Out Of The Ugly Yoke Of Lagos State by tpiah: 11:30pm On Aug 03, 2010
modern lagos is an ancient portuguese concept.

end of.

the portuguese explorer who gave lagos it's name (in the 15th century) explored round the entire slave coast.

nothing for beaf and co to continue yammering about.

they [the explorers] were scouting for slave ports and new colonies for their sovereigns, that's all.

the brits started their conquest of yorubaland from lagos.

hence everybody believes if they conquer lagos they've conquered all of yoruba.

A much better argument from you.

Edo history is extremely detailed and they can give exact dates that go back two thousand years . The site you quoted from has oodles of good stuff on it; I encourage you to use it. Another very useful site is waado.org.
I was taught what I know first hand by a member of the Bini royal family who is also a Phd and authority in Nigerian history, some of his work is cited on that website.
yes, you should learn yoruba history from any other tribe but yorubas.

have a good day!

if they ask you about the history of your own tribe you know nada, but you're a self-proclaimed "expert" on yoruba.

lord where know they breed you people.

chyz is just looking for a yoruba husband or lover.

they (some husband-seeking non-yoruba females) seem to think cursing and abusing yoruba women makes the guys hornier, hence they always let it fly.

chyx easy on your xenophobia.

you dont need to attack yoruba women thinking they're blocking yoruba men from dating you.

so i hope you can understand my english?
