Where actually did you people read that Benin brought to Lagos a superior technology, built brick houses and super structuresi really wonder. if anything, it was the other way round, with benin learning from the yoruba vis a vis Ife. the only mention of benin in lagos history has mainly to do with some bini soldiers being stationed at some part of lagos as a military outpost, and even the obas being claimed as bini, are actually yoruba, since back then there was greater cohesion between benin and yorubaland than what we have now. the current palace of the lagos oba was either built or significantly reconstructed by the portuguese, with all the materials used, being shipped directly from portugal. that in itself speaks volumes. in any case, the slave trade was the major reason why lagos became a place of interest to so many outside powers at the time. |

friends arent that hard to come by. if you feel you need some, then start getting them. not having friends simply shows you're maybe a very picky person. or just need a break. however, if you feel it's a symptom of some deeper problem, then by all means get help, either by having friends or seeing a healthcare practitioner. |
