probably labelled as such by nairalanders who tag everything in Nigeria "world class" as a form of mockery.

The actual drum itself is called the world's tallest drum.

World class is defined as something that meets international standards (of certification), and conforms to a certain level which costs more in overhead expenses (of construction) and which is designed, implemented and utilized based on the aforementioned.

Sometimes I wonder how some states were approved, osun state should have remained under Oyo state same with ekiti under ondo state.

dividing the states makes it seem like they are separate, that's sort of misinformation.

However, moving forward, Ekiti joined with parts of Kogi or Kwara might be theoretical, dunno.

I doubt the newer states will want to give up their autonomy though, they probably prefer their independence.

I don't know if they visited anywhere else in Nigeria in the past, but I do know that Spanish Catholic missionaries visited Benin city in 1651 and stayed there for a few years. After a brief dispute between these Spanish missionaries and some Benin palace officials, they were expelled from the kingdom. I'm not sure if there was other Spanish contact. But it seems that the kings of Benin didn't traditionally wear the kind of hat that Oba Ovonramwen was wearing in that picture. That hat seems to have been inspired by the customs of the nobility or royalty of Calabar.

there doesnt seem to be a time when Spanish or Portuguese missionaries/soldiers werent in Benin.

some of the missionaries were expelled, but other Europeans remained or visited.

There is no specific date for knowing exactly when Yorubas first encountered Christianity. Bible sources reveal there were black Africans in Jerusalem during Jesus time, however, we do not know where in Africa they originated from.

Modern Christianity post the industrial revolution, was introduced to Yorubaland sometime in the 18th or 19th century.

Prior to that, Yorubas may have encountered Christianity in the 15th or 16th centuries or maybe even before then. In Africa, religions which are introduced to a people, usually get absorbed into the existing traditional set up sometimes to an extent where they are no longer recognizable in their original form. This applies not only to Christian eschatology but also to foreign non-Christian ones.

contrary to what some folks are propounding, there is no Yoruba without Christianity. If you are looking within the context of the slave trade, then yes, you stick to various idols and traditional deities which oversee such matters and have followers to do the same.
