If you mean public transportation, my number one pet peeve when I was in Nigeria was co-travelers who loudly provided minute by minute updates on their phones talking to unknown persons and letting them know all details of the monitoring. I was wondering, isn't this the function of gps and stuff, why not just provide these "fake travelers" with special trackable phones so they don't have to loudly let people know they "are onto them". |
This is one of the reasons why you see so many enemies especially among Nigerians, na all this frolicking and everybody going after everybody who had something to do with something even if they know nothing about it. |
I'm not familiar with any of the people mentioned, but why this intending wife come resemble somebody wey I know nah? I don't even remember who exactly, jeez. That's the intending wife in the first picture I think? |
@ ornicus I don't know who you are, but since you jumped on my mention here: https://www.nairaland.com/5405920/20-golden-rules-visitation#82071337 I would like you to bring your complaints to this thread instead of derailing the other one. |
The fact is everyone digs in their heels so arguments keep going in circles. Just do you and let others do them, people waste time trying to get others to be tolerant. I have found it's indeed a waste of time, don't ask me how. And I'm not referring to any specific tribe with this post. |
. |
Fountainofyouth:Yes, I agree I have a problem. Can you move on now? Stop derailing the thread. |
as per rape this rape that, ok everywhere would be like Nigeria sooner or later, happy now? Btw, do not intentionally impregnate yourself and pin it on a man please, I'm sure married men are the intended targets as usual. |
Folks, stop mentioning the two of us together, thanks,. This is the second time in about two days. Not sure where you want to go with it. |
Btw, I am not becomerich and neither do I know him from anywhere. We are from the same state doesn't mean I know him. I can start another thread for you to discuss your grievances and how he offended you, in case he's still on the forum and is interested in responding. |
You can pull up the insults, post the links here. |
Let's discuss, don't derail the other thread. |
ornicus: |
Fountainofyouth:e don do. Just stay off my mentions moving forward, like you were asked to. |
ornicus:let it go nitori Olorun. Open a separate thread for whatever you are discussing. I don't like when you people just fixate on me anyhow, it's so annoying. Moderator, lock the thread please if these folks persist. |
There are multiple threads about a newly married couple who had never seen themselves before and the bride arrived in Abuja, they met each other via a ride and spent the night in a hotel having sex. The next day they both discovered they were in fact, husband and wife. What do you want them to do? Just tell us, we don't need to recycle topics. |
eni4real:Breasts fall at some point in time, that's why people do all kinds of things to keep them looking perky. This is unnecessary. |
In Yoruba lingo, language is often more figurative than literal. |
back to topic! |
Fountainofyouth:Yeah, don't engage my mentions or comment on my posts. I don't mind. Also, don't form parapo over my matter, It's irritating. |
ornicus:Don't insult me please, moreso I don't know you. Perhaps you should reveal your previous ids so we can know if you're someone I have insulted before in the distant past. Focus on the topic, do not derail the thread. You people are too quick to jump on bandwagons, very bad taste especially given what is happening in South Africa right now. |
Ishilove:Just because I posted on your thread doesn't mean you need to get paranoid. Next time, have someone else open the topic or use a different id. You did go to my facebook page though, and I did not complain about that. ![]() |
Fountainofyouth:You surely don't expect me to give more details? |
Not every guest would read such, some might not even notice. Potential guests should familiarize themselves with the culture of whoever they want to visit, so you don't possibly make cultural faux pass. |
It seems the problem is this: Nigerians are being told or asked to leave South Africa. Obviously, Nigerians do not want to leave because they feel they have the right to stay. Also, the home environment is not considered suitable by them because their base is now elsewhere. Neither side wants to budge and both feel they are justified in their battle. Focusing on Nigeria specifically because many Nigerians are on this forum. |
7. Visit on your own, don't carry groups to someone's house. Before visiting a fellow Nigerian, especially overseas, find out what their cultural rules are concerning visitation. And much better not to go alone. In parts of Nigeria, I was told (I don't know if it's true) when you visit someone, the standard greeting is "My enemy is here, where is my weapon?", spoken in the host's own dialect to the visitor who imagines the host is welcoming him or her. |
I just catch fear because they say the meaty parts with more fat are the tastiest. Make God help us oh. |
The narratives are very disjointed so it's difficult to say one or the other although of course you can't prevent people from cooking up stories. But we should focus on Nigeria's problems and how to solve them, as pointed out. |
zhike:Oh, ok, you're welcome. |
zhike:I didn't realise you're not Nigerian. When people leave Nigeria, they get used to being outside Nigeria and it's harder for them to return because even the people at home prefer they stay abroad. Re-adapting is not easy, that's why most would rather relocate to another country. |
Sometimes when travelling you drive through rain and a couple of minutes later there's no rain moving forward. |
Chidorx60:True that. OP, seems your mission is to discuss Ondo state, why not discuss Nigeria in general. |
