AndroBlaze: His coalition have felt they don't need northern votes...and with the low turn out and cannibalisation that is going on there between Atiku, Tinubu and Kwakwanso...maybe bulk votes from SE and SS can make their dream (of only a runoff) come true. To me, they over-did the Christian thing, that is going to churches upon churches. He presented himself as representing the Christians alone. Now, if a Northern Muslim was doing that, how would you feel? Although, to be fair to me, he had no choice but to do that in order to ginger the Christian base. His bulk votes ends principally in the South East. Everyone other place na share, share. |

Politics › Re: Tinubu Wins Ondo, Ogun States, Sweeps All Local Government Areas by tplayer: 9:14am On Feb 27, 2023 |
AroleOduduwa2: Tinubu, is likely to win because of the APC structure in the North. If Kwakwanso had agreed to deputies, Obi would have been declared the winner. Atiku will be defeated because he chose a weak Okowa. If Okowa were strong, the PDP should have 60% of the vote in SS, the LP 25%, and the APC 15%, but everyone is doing well and sharing the votes almost evenly. He choose Okowa because of BAR. Election requires money. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Leading With Close To A Million Votes Margin by tplayer: 9:04am On Feb 27, 2023 |
AndroBlaze:
Obi can still get a runoff if he gets more total votes than Atiku and Tinubu..he would force whoever came second into a runoff despite both of them meeting the 25% in 24+ states. But he can never na. He's doing quite badly in the north save for a few states there. |

ijustdey: https://dailytrust.com/obis-votes-overtake-tinubus-in-lago/ This is a real minus for Atiku. I ain't surprised sha. Someone told me ObI could win Lagos like 2 weeks ago and I concurred. Lagos has never decided any federal elections substantially since a long time. But it's a hugely symbolic victory for Obi but an ominous one for Tinubu if Obi eventually takes it. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Leading With Close To A Million Votes Margin by tplayer: 8:54am On Feb 27, 2023 |
AndroBlaze: Any winner needs to get 25% in 24 states and FCT, so if they are unable to get 25% in FCT, they must get in 25 states... thats why Obi can only pray for a runoff Run off is totally off the table |

ijustdey: https://dailytrust.com/votes-spread-tinubu-atiku-neck-and-neck-as-obi-trails/ This part of the news "The problem is totally due to technical hitches related to scaling up the IReV from a platform for managing off-season state elections, to one for managing nationwide general elections" is the REASON we are not a serious country. So they couldn't prepare for the massive increase in traffic with all the money allocated to INEC. Silly excuse. |

Elections (Video) by tplayer: 7:21am What bothers me is when we won't call an election FREE and FAIR when their candidate doesn't win and when it's not 100% perfect.
No election is ever perfect. Whatever shenanigans, real or imagined, that occurred in Rivers majorly and to a lesser extent in Lagos and some Eastern state does not invalidate this election.
To me, this is looking like the FREEST and FAIREST in a long time.
Now, it's a margins game and this favours Tinubu. |

ImperialYoruba: Playing mischief, I added that Obi figure to Atiku as a combination, and Tinubu is still ahead of them.
There will be no run off, and Tinubu will be declared winner. Cleared majority and met 25% of 2/3 states. I knew there would be no run off since yesterday 🤣 |

It has the largest voting population and OBi did well in the big 4 Benin LGAs, except Orhiowon. I don't have a good picture of the OVIAs LGA But Edo north and APC' s unexpectedly strong showing in Edo Central should balance things out fairly well. |
