Believe m, there are some schools in Canada from where you'd get PhD or professorship and UI will tell you they don't recognize it. The fact that it's from Canada does not mean it'll automatically be better than all the schools we have in Nigeria. So if you're from UI and you want to go for PG abroad, your UI lecturers will tell you to ensure you go to a good school.

There's a new generation of politicians who'll not just be accountable and progressive, but they're going to change the narrative in Nigerian politics generally. If they don't come by their will, situation will produce them. Never minding the insatiable nature of some Nigerians anyway.

Now this is the kind of change we want in the youths. Those old men have failed us and they keep on failing.

You can say that again and again. It's time parents know this and develop it in their kids, it's time education empathize the out-of-school exploration of knowledge. Almost all the inventors and contributors to mankind's development did it without the formality of the school environment. The school is meant to show us a hint of what we need to uncover by ourselves. The school is not the answer to full education.

It still depends on the 'it' that you're trying to make. Making money, fame etc cannot be exclusively call "making it" unless that's your definition of "making it". Meanwhile, education is supposed to make you discover your 'job' and not to make you look for 'work'.

You say South East like everywhere in South East? I was a presiding officer in Enugu and in my PU (same as many others), only 120 people out of over 1000 registered voters came even though we got there early and waited more than the stipulated time. Truth is, southerners don't regard elections like the northerners.

But he was right. Everyone of us now celebrate mediocrity more. It's not about someone twerking somewhere, it's about our value as a society.
