mekaboy:I didn't say it is. I only say that a time is coming when politicians will be forced to be accountable and progressive. |
There's a new generation of politicians who'll not just be accountable and progressive, but they're going to change the narrative in Nigerian politics generally. If they don't come by their will, situation will produce them. Never minding the insatiable nature of some Nigerians anyway. |
Now this is the kind of change we want in the youths. Those old men have failed us and they keep on failing. |
Tehila07:I don't stay in Enugu town exactly, but I think I'd be quite difficult. |
anochuko01:You can say that again and again. It's time parents know this and develop it in their kids, it's time education empathize the out-of-school exploration of knowledge. Almost all the inventors and contributors to mankind's development did it without the formality of the school environment. The school is meant to show us a hint of what we need to uncover by ourselves. The school is not the answer to full education. |
qanda:I don't use Playstore and I like the app. How do I get it please? |
Ant we dey come every day - constANT Ant we dey pollute something - pollutANT Ant wey dey attack people. - assailANT Ant wey dey pursue people - pursuANT |
EsotericMonk:But Nigerians are not all-devils without anything good about them. We have a lot of faults as Nigerians but truthfully speaking, citizens of other countries are not very better than Nigerians. |
What of the problems Nigerians face at international airports all over the world? I think that should balance this writeup. |
daddytime:It still depends on the 'it' that you're trying to make. Making money, fame etc cannot be exclusively call "making it" unless that's your definition of "making it". Meanwhile, education is supposed to make you discover your 'job' and not to make you look for 'work'. |
superior1:The devil doesn't gift something for free... |
meobizy:I'd pass the message |
meobizy:I know the lady through a friend. Apart from her NGO and medical work which is high ranking, she's a web designer, a caterer, mc, etc. I guess that should have answered your question. |
Coming from someone who has succeeded so much in ministry and administration, I won't say the statement is incorrect. Jesus even said "your time is always ready" (John 7:6). Why then would someone keep saying "God would do it when God did not ask you to fold your hands and watch? |
imam07:Don't mind those guys. Oyo State people especially those from Ibadan are very calculative. They don't care which party you belong before they reject or accept somebody. Once someone messes up, they rejects everything belonging to the person. Akala messed up, he was sent out. Now it's time Ajimobi is getting disgraced. |
eleojo23:Don't mind the young man jare. He's unaware or probably chooses to be blind that theoretical physics that seems to give answers to creation is more fictional compared to the Bible even though they don't have answers. |
Aragbiji:Ipobians this, Ipobians that. If you're a true Nigerian, you should know that the said guy has really big potential for exam fraud and if he's caught and the news is posted, you'll rush to lash him. What's it with Nigerians sef..? |
desiredhome:By what I posted? People have ways they write and the one you understand the most (which also appeals to your opinion) is the one you'd appreciate. |
desiredhome:Of course it's not a must you do, there are so many other sensible things on the internet. |
freethinker01:It's all for his supporters applause. A bad drummer will stop drumming when he notice that no one is dancing to his beat. But if people keep dancing, he won't know he's a bad drummer. That's Daddy Freeze for you. |
See Nigerians hypocrisy in its high standard. This freezer guy had insulted pastors who used such words on people before. Now someone got him and called him "jobless", he started conjoining adjectives just to shut the man's mouth up. And the same Nigerians who once hailed him for criticizing pastors who insult people, are here hailing him because he's insulting people. Freeze is not thriving because of his activities. He's thriving because of our hypocritical lifestyle which everyone has been displaying here. SMH... |
lomprico:He can't hear you. |
Yes of course... It's not something that warrants bargaining. If a former military leader has to bargain when he will leave office (when the constitution already stipulates it), then our democracy is still fragile. It's just the same way Obasanjo wanted to go for a third term. |
okwabayi:Yes. .. It is. And it's still a societal failure. |
okwabayi:Which means pedophilia is a kind of sickness. There should be a way they'd carry out therapy for them instead of promoting the instinct in them by legalizing child dolls to satisfy their appetite. They need healing and not intimacy gadgets. |
Seriously...? While it may be perceived that pedophiles will have toys to experiment on, a new set of criminals are about to be created. Those who didn't have any pedophilic attitude before will now start seeing every innocent child as an object they can defile. Pedophilia is a sickness and these toys won't stop them. |
madridsta007:You say South East like everywhere in South East? I was a presiding officer in Enugu and in my PU (same as many others), only 120 people out of over 1000 registered voters came even though we got there early and waited more than the stipulated time. Truth is, southerners don't regard elections like the northerners. |
But he was right. Everyone of us now celebrate mediocrity more. It's not about someone twerking somewhere, it's about our value as a society. buygala: |
Do you know that addiction and self restraint are forms of self discipline? So when you hear the word "self discipline", do not be scared or think it is too difficult for you. As long as you have some things you can't do without, you have an ability to be self disciplined. But then, do you know why I said that addiction and self restraint are forms of self discipline? It is because both of them require conscious actions before they become automatic actions. The only problem lies in what automatic actions you're configured to. Since about two years ago, I've been hearing people say either seriously or mockingly "self discipline is his watchword. He likes to be disciplined". Yet, I know that I have a lot to do if I were to get to the status most people normally ascribe to me. I personally know I would have really gone farther than I am had I been self disciplined like many people think. What I've found out however, is that being self disciplined is not as hard as we make it look. The most important factor is the mindset. If you have a strong mindset, your body has no choice but to fall in line. Meanwhile, it is easy for the body to configure the mind if the mind does not configure the body. A typical example of when your body has configured your mind is when you indulge in things that are harmful to you and you find it difficult to stop. Let's reverse the case; when your mind configure your body, you'll keep doing things that will hurt your flesh and move you forward but you'll find it hard to stop (this is what we now called "self discipline" . Why? Your mind is in charge. Many people find it difficult to submit to God because they've not given their minds primacy to reflect on their potential losses and gains. What keeps them from coming to God or realigning with their purpose is the same thing that can make one self disciplined and focused. Let's talk a little bit about addiction. When addiction is about to set in, it comes like illegitimate or legitimate pleasure. The body loves it and wants more of it. You refuse to deny the body and then the mind brings a sense of guilt. But then, the body is getting enriched and wouldn't want you to stop so you continue. Even though you know you're losing out, the body has disciplined your mind to keep quiet. So quitting an addiction will be difficult. On the other hand, when you introduce something developmental to your body. Your body feels you're bringing a sense of purpose. So at the first instant, you'll love the self discipline. But when you're about to go back to it, the body remembers the pain it endured the last time you disciplined it. So it becomes difficult to go back. This is where you need to strengthen your mind and keep the body quiet. Consistently doing this will give your mind primacy over your body. And guess what, it takes more of a strong mind than a strong body to really make a change in the world (I will come back to this some other time). So don't think you can't discipline yourself, we have a form of self discipline or another. When the doctor tells a man he is going to die if he doesn't quit smoking, the man try to quit but find it difficult, it is because his body has disciplined his mind. He knows he will soon die but the body will tell the mind "I don't care, I enjoy the smoke". So the man continues. But when a student is told to read or risk failure and punishment, the body whines that it cannot seat and read for too long, it cannot lose sleep because of reading and the mind say "keep quiet, I don't care". It is still self discipline. It is only being channeled at the right direction. With time, the body will become used to being disciplined and if you stop, the body will protest. So, you can be self disciplined. © M. M. O |
daddytime:Lol... That's the spirit. "I am a dolphin". |
You have a very nice dream here and animals are really a source of inspiration even to man who call himself the most intellegent. However, you and I can decide to be a dolphin wherever we are. Instead of praising dolphins all the time, let's be good even when people go against us. Let's decide to say "no" to "an eye for an eye". We also have inner instinct to do good but unlike dolphins, it's the opposite we mostly choose. daddytime: |
