Billy0naire:Will I die young if I have emails registered in my name? Because I do. |
Honestly speaking, learning is not competition. It is just what it is "learning to understand the world". Why should that be a competition? It's when you understand how the world works that you can truly be a solution provider. If our educational system really teaches us how to understand the world, we won't have many of the problems we're now having. But instead, our educational system is teaching us how to be a jobseeker, a salary earner, a complainer about bad political system, a consumer of technologies from other countries. That's what our education in Nigeria makes of us all the time. |
Stanweezy:It would be great if you can take a minute or two to preview some information about Finland's educational system. Theirs is currently the best in the world and they don't write any exam, students and teachers don't spend much time in the school and most children don't start school till age 7. Yet, American and co are learners when it comes to this. |
Towing the Finnish line? That's impressive. I'm sure that when America and other western nations adopt this, Nigeria will have a rethink and all this madness paralyzing our educational system will come to a halt. Shebi we cannot do without copy copy? |
CodeTemplar:I don't know oo but she na only Covenant Uni rich kids attend? |
Nothing really 'fashionistic' about these pictures jare. They're just regular pictures of people from rich family in beautiful backgrounds. Go to other private schools and even public schools and you'd see same or better things. |
Already people are referring to Ajimobi's dealings with NURTW. This means there's no leader to bad or weak in every area. They only have their weaknesses which sometimes cloud their strengths. However, most of our leaders in Nigeria have weaknesses that's too much in respect to their strengths. |
ajericho:The network is slow in your area then. I couldn't finish the 3GB data allocated to me that day but it was quite fast. |
Actually there's little compliance to the sit-at-home order in Enugu. Students writing NECO are writing it, many markets women are around and within the Enugu-Agbani axis, there's free flow of transportation like any other day and banks were opened as usual. The op might have posted a wrong picture, but Enugu is not feeling any sit-at-home presently. |
DREAMZZZ:Didn't you see the post like two days ago about Dangote being the biggest philanthropist in Nigeria? It will take more than 'doing' to eradicate the almajiri system. It's a systemic problem. |
dasdexter:If Glo network isn't slow in your area, you're really going to enjoy the plan. |
Itzneowizy:Glo weekend plan is still the best. #500 for 3GB data which can be paused till the next Saturday in case you didn't finish it. Isn't that cool? |
Harddiskng:China has been acting insecure for a long time and now, US has validated that insecurity. I see Africa benefitting from the clash of the two countries. Even if US should lessen its restrictions, China will still try to be much more self sufficient in their technology. And they'll try to import the same to other countries. |
tolexy007:Cheating is what you call that. But how I wish Nigeria would do that because of its indegenous companies. Do you think unemployment will reach this level? US is not fighting China because just for trade war, it's a political war. The war for dominance. China has been calling the bluff of the US with its giant stride especially in countries outside Asia. The US which is currently rated as the most powerful nation on earth, cannot sit down and watch China takr over their legacies. So anything to cripple China must be done. |
BeautifulMind2:You only open your eyes to what you want to see. The shakers of the world are of the most quiet group. |
Banning Sniper is not the answer to the menace of suicide. In fact, not all the victims of suicide use Sniper as a means of taking their own lives. There is a great social anger, rage and sense of inadequacy and this is what is driving people nuts and crazy. When people feel they have shortcomings somewhere where others have gone far (relationships, academics, finance etc), the tendency for suicide will be high. Let's start looking after one another and stop all the unnecessary competition for perfection. No one is perfect in every area. Suicide can never be a way out of any problem. |
![]() Na wao. Nairaland with cloudflare problem. Glo network with its inconsistencies. Unemployed or underemployed youths and the need to survive a harsh country. EFCC and the need to make people keep applauding them. Nigeria and its lack of selfless leadership. When are we going to get things right in this country. By now the government should know that it's not the crime alone that should be fought, the really need to fight the cause of the crime. But would they? No. Because they're the ones responsible. Why won't people come and justify crime then? EFCC should use the same zeal and send political thieves to prison instead of just arresting internet fraudsters. They're all thieves in different garments. |
When a government is not serious, the economy keep suffering. |
BeautifulMind2:You read what you choose to read and that shows the kind of education that you have. I don't go about proving things to people when I know I really have it. I've advanced more than that. You should too if you're not feeling insecure. |
BeautifulMind2:Everything all boils down to the fact that we like showing superiority and tribalism with which state is beautiful, which one is not. Ibadan is an ancient city with so many brown zinc and I can tell you that many of the houses you're looking at are either empty or going empty. On the other hand, Ibadan is a city with so many exotic and luxurious houses offices, plazas, roads etc. It depends on the part of Ibadan that you want to see. You can't compare Ibadan and Enugu. Not because one is better than the other but because of the different status and people in the two places. I've lived im both cities well enough to know. Let's just stop this tribalism of a thing. |
Evwrywhere you turn to 'fraud'. Internet fraud, NDDC fraud, police fraud, this fraud, that fraud... Why must it always be us? If we say it's this administration, are we also saying that everyone in every agency in Nigeria is also elected? When are Nigerians going to change their entitlement mentality of fraud? It's just so saddening. The polity is getting heated every day and young people are committing suicide most of which is caused or related to hardship. Internet fraud is there, desperate migration out of the country is there. All because of greed, greed and greed. |
Unfortunately I've not reach the stage where I can donate a house to this kind of man. I'd have traced him. People like him rarelt get celebrated in Nigeria. Even though Nigerians keep shouting and complaining about the selfishness of our leaders, they don't really celebrate selfless people. What a bunch of hypocrites we are! |
SheikhMuniru:But the report says the NLC chairman in the state confirmed it. |
Obere4u:I'm not vindicating Amosun, I was actually throwing a backlash to the useless party called APC. They're only exposing Amosun because there's bitter blood between them aren't they? Do you suppose you're reading the news because APC love the citizens? |
adekolaelect:I didn't say that. I was only asking if it's good to stone people like that. |
SheikhMuniru:Did you read the news sir? APC said he diverted the money while NLC said he has paid. You want him stoned to death for paying the salaried he owed? |
They should stop telling us what people use to take their owm lives for God's sake. It's like this publicity for Sniper is making people more prone to end their lives easily. |
mkpurumma090:Rolex is a very expensive wristwatch. I think the cheapest is over a million naira. |
Horbar1: ![]() It takes a mad lady to steal her man's Rolex, it takes a mad man to chase his lady who stole his Rolex unclad. So they're both mad... |
![]() When did journalism become this wacky in Nigeria? Is destiny something that can be packed in a bag to warrant the title 'steal destiny'? By the way, the more people publicize yahoo goons, the more they make young people desire to join the clique just like the bad publicity they've been giving to Sniper. |
The country is really hard and young people are really trying, pushing every button just to live a comfortable life. Don't stop trying even when it seems others have moved on. It's not your fault the country is this hard. Just make your input, lean on God, review your steps and make necessary changes. If one plan fails, try another. Don't put off the fighting spirit. You'll eventually make a big headway. |

very simple question, Ibadan I know is very backward when compare to Enugu
