I was not responding because you choose pastors who are the most subjected to criticism. You can't discredit Christianity as a whole because of pastors who themselves are human beings subject to errors as you and I are.

Sir, I'm not Oyedepo and I'm not a member of his church. Whoever has issues with him should settle it one on one. It'd be fallacious to discredit everything about Christianity or God because you have a brawl with somebody. As for religion causing harm or good, it depends on individuals and societies. A society can decide to advance through religion, they'll advance. As for us, we're getting what we're seeking through religion. When a nation seeks selfishness using religion as a means, they'd get thr fruits of it.

But generally, God has not given anyone the right to correct those he has called and this is where Freeze got it wrong.

So tell me how come the countries shouting Jesus up and down are the poorest, most violent, dangerous, etc. The richest church in the world are in UK, US and Italy but the richest pastors are mostly found in Nigeria. Do you guy use your brains to think at all or it's just there for fashion?

Do you know that without knowing God at all, a country can still get to the highest level of human development which is because they follow universal principles that's not subjected to their religious beliefs? As for the religious country being poor etc, it is better not to know God than to know him for selfish purposes. The problem with those countries is not religion, it is the people. Religion does not mean you have to act anyhow, lazily etc like we do in Africa especially. Without Christianity, Africans would still be underdeveloped if we have the same attitudes we have now. Instead of religions changing us, we're the one changing religions to suit ourselves and that's where the problem comes from.
My brother, forget about Africa's problem and religion. Find God and know him truthfully and you'll understand more why we are here. Religion is not a declaration of surrender of our senses!

I'm not a believer of any of those men of God you quoted, I'm a believer of Christ who has the Holy Spirit to guide him into what is right or wrong. Let me say finally that believing in God is far beyond paying tithes and more so, God can't be bribed neither is God a taskmaster. If tithe is the reason for you not to believe in God, please get a Bible and study personally because tithe deals more with willingness than compulsion and it is not a prerequisite for making it to heaven. According to the bible and christendom , Jesus came to the world to cleans it. How come the world is even worst than it was before he came? It's either his death meant nothing or he only existed in the minds of the illogical and brainwashed poeple.

That's why you need a full understanding of situations before you can appraise them. Jesus came to provide alternative for men to come back to God. But men still have to choose whether to live by his principles or not. Now let me say that though some believe in Jesus (even Satan himself), the world can't be better when we abandon those principles.

Sorry for the inconveniences bro and though I'm not part of any of those events yet, something must cause heavy traffic even in sane climes from pop concerts, to campaigns, shows and religious activities outside of Christianity. Let's not be sentimental in saying that church activities is usually the cause of heavy traffic. And the fact that something is responsible for your inconvenience does not mean you'll find something to cause inconveniences too. It's just the things that happen when you're a member of a large community.

In the book of Jeremiah, chapter 7 clearly God was addressing the worshipping of the temple/church as an idol. Jeremiah 7:3-4
He was emphasizing that true worship is not the church but Godliness, the expression of good judgement, standing for the liberation of the oppressed, not committing evil, etc Jeremiah 5-11

Finally the answer to your question lies in John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

Now this didn't stop Jesus from preaching at the synagogue. He wasn't telling people to abandon churches.
He came to teach us that we can carry the church every where because we are now the church.

To conclude worshiping God is a personal journey of faith but it is not a solo drill. We need each other.

What a detailed explanation! Whoever is defending Freez or whatever he calls himself should know by now that he himself is anti-gospel. Firstly, he was asking God to punish a creature of his hand while the same Bible he has been misquoting says we should love our enemies and pray for them that hate us. Secondly, other than misquoting the Bible, there's no evidence of him being inspired by God to interpret the Bible.

I only pray that God open and heal his heart that he may live a life of true Godliness without hypocrisy or enmity with the people of God.

The average Nigerian/black man is too primitive to rule. I would be the first to reject a world ruled by black men because that would be the most gory sight ever especially for black women. White men want white looking children to carry on their heritage. They want nothing but white in general. They see beauty in themselves and want they world filled with copies of them. They control the world media, by doing this they control sexual preference and how people would look like in the future. Future people would be more white looking!

I am a teenager but my eyes are wide opened to these realities on ground. I am more drawn to men who are in groups that have power not weaklings who want to bully women into submission since they have nothing much going for them. I would endeavour to hang around non nigerian/nonblack men to attract male companionship. And if i have to settle for a black man, i would go for the one that loves himself completely, for if he loves himself he would love and respect me.

But as true as some of what you've written sounds, too much biases has clouded the honesty in the ugliness associated with the black man. You fail to tell us the reason why many black women want to become white because they don't like their skin. Is it the fault of the man too? You didn't mention all the western ideology of feminism by which the black woman want to be associated with even though she's not ready to dump the part of African culture that favours her. You did not cover the materialistic nature of the black woman and how her man would run from pillar to post trying to settle and make her feel he's her hero indeed. Let's face it here, you can't isolate the black man and his deficiencies without mentioning the black woman and vice-versa. The black man and woman is equal to Asian, American and European men and their women. Even in country where things are so easy, the least year to bag Ph.D is three minus the years spent on Masters and Bachelors. My lecturer will us, you can't compare an MBBS holder who holds just Bachelors with a Ph.D holder. I even have someone who told us he 9 years to get Ph.D. If not for the problems the country is facing, bagging Ph.D is not a joke.

This is well researched. Kudos to the writer. Meanwhile, Africans generally love titles and nowadays, many academians prefer Ph.D at the back of their names rather than Dr. My lecturer once told me "you don't expect someone who labored for years to feel comfortable when someone use money to buy the same title the person is trying to claim.

The writeup is nice except the part that says "education should be plan B". This is wrong and it's not the op's fault because we've misconstrued the term "education". Education in the real sense is supposed to make an individual improve his potentials (what you called talent) so that the person will contribute meaningfully to his society. But what we have today is the education that makes people dependent.

But thw title itself. Well, it's not the dressing up as a lawyer when she was young that made her become one. She had the ambition and she worked for it. Eventually she achieved her dream. Congrats lady. Dressing like a rich man alone is not the road out of poverty. Many other things are involved.
