Funny enough, My agent said it is not possible to upload a document after submitting an application. This was one of things that caused delay in submitting my application due to the long processes of form A application.
That agent is clearly not knowledgeable in everything regarding study permit application. Webform has saved so many applications by allowing people send in documents that was omitted when they initially submitted their application.

Just got my bvl without decision… how long does it take for decision to come after
Did you get a medical request letter or you did upfront medicals? If the former is the case then you have 95% chance of getting an approval.

As regards timeline for getting ppr in a case where BVL comes first, no one really knows the timeline. Mine came after two weeks of getting BVL, some others came the next day after getting BVL. So be hopeful and keep praying.

Wish you nothing but the best

Could some help with this question. Thanks in advance.

If you did your biometrics in Lagos but you are currently in Abuja and want to send you passport for stamping in Abuja, do you need to pay 9k to DHL or how do you go about it?
You’ll pay 9410 transmission fee to VFS for biometrics transmission, however you’ll go to dhl Abuja and submit the required documents including your original passport, dhl will take a fee to help you courier it to VFS Abuja and also bring it back. So the delivery by dhl will be an instate thing, hopefully it’s not that expensive.

I just got a scholarship that covers my tuition fee after I have submitted my study permit application.
Would it be necessary to upload the proof of scholarship after submission and if I can still send this document, how do I go about it?
Yes, please send the scholarship award letter to ircc via web form in the add important documents section. Add a nice cover letter stating that your university has seen that you are a promising and bonafide student hence the scholarship award.

Who knows this might be a silver lining to your approval.

All the best.

I was trying to watch a movie on my phone just to distract myself from IRCC delay when i suddenly fell asleep with one side of my face on the pillow. Awhile later i woke suddenly to hear my heart pounding as if it was located at the back of my ear. I rushed to my dad's room to use his Bp machine to check and behold my Bp don rise. I am a 25 years old guy i no deserve all this mental stress wey IRCC dey give me ooh. Today makes it 5 months and 5 days since i applied, i have missed May intake and September is just around the corner. When i write to them ,they will tell me to withhold from writing further. Na student visa i apply for abi na for days of unending misery and pain. I am trying to be strong Aswear. To anyone in similar situation as mine may God give us the strength to see this journey through.
Jeez I thought I was the only one experiencing this loud heart pounding and I’m too young for this. I know I have anxiety issues already.

My advice: I run about 3km every morning to assist my body to effectively pump blood and it has helped me handle most of this issues and keep my mind sharp, Please try it. When the approval comes, you won’t remember these experiences.

Was your medical upfront? You just have to be patient for the finalization notification.

Hello Justmellow,
I did an upfront medicals but on 22nd of July was sent medical request letter which I replied with emails of my e-medical slip and it was updated passed.

I thought I had patience, now I keep checking my email every second to see if a decision will be made. Almost all April applicant I know have gotten their decisions.

I will really appreciate your advice and help. My application is 15 weeks old, 10 days ago, I go BVL letter but no final decision. I have emailed all the IRCC offices around the world, they now even know my name, still no way.

What can I do please, I’m getting tired of waiting. BVL and no decision just like that, the suspense is mad.

Good evening guys, I got BVL this morning but no further updates. I am worried as most times PPR comes with the BVL.

What can I do?
Mehnn this is my situation also. BVL came July 29th after medical request letter (done and updated passed 25th July ). For most applications BVL comes same time as PPR I don’t know why IRCC wants to torture us.

It’ll end in praise

Please kindly advise:

My 1st application was refused on 30 march 2022 and I replied on 27 April 2022. Eligible review of my second application started since July 5th. But today I received a letter to go for another medical exam. I have done medical exam during my first application that was refused and it was pass and still valid.

Can I send the hard copy of last medical I did to IRCC through webform or I should go and do another one.
Send the e-medical sheet to the following emails and also raise a web form to Nairobi, it will be updated. Same thing happened to my application, and I sent it to them and they updated it. April 25th applicant.

Come and join me sing Halleluyah!!!!

I have received my love letter. PPR received 12:41pm. April 26, 2022.

Portal - New Portal
Application Date - April 26, 2022
Biometrics - not needed since I had a visitor visa in 2016 and Biometrics is still valid
Upfront Medical - May 25, 2022
Upfront Medical Passed - June 23, 2022
PPR - August 02, 2022
Sponsor - self Sponsored
Age - 39
I used an agent who helped with admission and application

It has been God all the way.

I stumbled on this thread a month after submissions when there was no movement with my application. I did not submit the numerous documents seen on the thread and doubted my application will be approved at a point especially home ties.

I got frustrated when my medicals was not updated for at least one month. I sent various emails to Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Abuja and filled numerous forms. My faith was tested and still I believed that God who started this will perfect it.

Documents summited include
1. Bank Statement (Salary and Savings account)
2. Payslips
3. Letter of Explanation on sums paid
4. Offer Letter from Company
5. Acceptance Letter from School
6. School fees balance payment (Submitted through Webform)
7. International Medical Insurance Certificate
8. School Certificates
9 Professional Membership Certificate

I pray for all waiting that the God that did not fail me will show up for you too.

The wait is over
I love your last statement, the wait is over. Congratulations

God your son is here o, BVL has dropped remaining PPR. I’m next in line. Amen

Hello good people of nairaland,

See the response I got from IRCC, please is this a generic response? Has anyone gotten this exact message? I’m tired. They requested medicals, I have done it and it has been passed, 1 week still nothing.

Why are they still blaming COVID 19?

Medical is tied to geographical location. There are some countries if you live there, you do not need to do medicals. I will advise the OP to go do medicals especially if he has been living in Nigeria for 6 months.
I think every study permit application needs the applicant to go through medical test, I might be wrong but, there are specific medical tests required to be done for a study permit application and that is what I was tested for. I don’t think they go testing for monkey pox or Ebola because one is in Nigeria, that’ll be outright discrimination.

See the photo attached for the test I completed.

Since you did your Medical abroad, and since then you have spent some time in Nigeria, my candid advice will be for you to book another Medical ASAP. Medical is tied to geographical exposure to diseases

Hello guys,

I need help, this is my second application in 6 months and I ordered my GCMS notes only to see that medicals is blank. I did my medicals in January for my first application, while applying for the second time I indicated I have already done medicals but why is it not showing in the GCMS note. I’m confused what should I do? Any help will be so much appreciated.

So guys after sending this few hours ago here, I received a medical request from IRCC just now but my medicals is still valid as can be seen in the photo below.

Secondly I had my medicals done in another country earlier this year do you think they just want me to redo it? Also I thought since my medicals was passed in the first application, it should also be passed.

Lastly, if I’m to send my e-medical sheet to ircc, how do I do it email or web form? To Nairobi or china?

When sending the e-medical sheet, should I add a letter of explanation or just send the form like that?

Did you upload the medical slip when you applied?
I didn’t submit the medical slip, I assumed that since it was passed in the first application, it will be automated in the second one seeing that it’s just six months apart.

Congratulations to all who have gotten PPR so far and Congratulations to us who will be getting soon. I stumbled on this thread about a month after my submission. I wish I did earlier though because of the amount of information available on the thread! Thanks to all who daily encourage others and those that remember to come back to share their timelines, documents submitted and tips & tricks.

If you are new and just applying or have applied and waiting, I suggest you do an Upfront medical, this MAY help save time and kickstart the process.

I applied April 26, 2022 and did an upfront medical on May 25, though I not get a medical request I started sending emails 3rd week in June and my medical was updated June 23 (I should have sent emails and webform by end of week one). Another set of emails sent initiated my "eligibility review" on July 05. Now I am waiting for PPR and have sent another set of emails....and I believe it will end in praise . Everyone will glorify God with me.

It's tiring and can be mentally exhausting, I pray God gives those of us in His waiting room patience to stand the season and show His Mercy and Favour as regards our application.

We will share our testimony sooner than we think in Jesus Name.
Same here, applied April 25th, after series of mails, eligibility started same day as yours.
