Maxwell775:
Good day nairalanders. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'll be brief.

While I was growing up I love playing football, I'm a very good defensive midfielder, I be correct number 6, I have always wanted to play for Nigeria and other big clubs. But my dreams becoming a footballer wasn't coming to reality so I have to focus on my business full time.

I work from mon - sat, while sundays are my free days but I don't go to church. I'm part of those people that plays ball on a Sunday morning, I'm 31 and I still dey play ball well, Infact from Saturday evening my friends have started calling me against tomorrow's match.

Although my girlfriend have persuaded me to start going to church but all to no avail. I can't remember the last time I went to church. Please note that I study my bible, I pray always, I help people around, I visit homes of the needy. But Its been a decade I went to church.

My girlfriend attends church very well, even weekly service. She is really mad at me, she has invited me to church several times but I would turn her down. Now she said she can't go on with our relationship, she don't want a situation whereby if we get married and other families are going to church with their husbands, that I will be in the streets playing ball, she want her marriage to be built on God's word... Bla Bla Bla

Now My Mother on the other hand, is putting pressure on me to go settle down. Everytime, your mates are married, give me grandchildren, do you want me to die before you marry, I didn't give birth to impotent children.

Guys, please note that my elder bro is married with 2 kids. Abeg no be grandchildren be that?? Why put pressure on me.

My Mother pressure.. My girlfriend pressure. I'm just confused and its getting too much. Please I need advice.

Abeg remove Ortom is Benue a Muslim state?
Friend22:

I like people like you who always bring religious sentiments into clear issues even if it gives us more ground to support Muslims anywhere anyhow.

If you like to play the religious card,be our guess..

Have you asked your dull self if any Muslim has ruled any southern state since our return to democracy.

In fact, from available record: no Muslim has been a deputy governor in the whole of south south(I am talking about Niger delta region)yet you want the north who are majority Muslims to give tickets to non Muslims?

Guy, how you take dey reason?

I ask again:Why are you guys being such bigoted nimbys?
Yet,you what to keep playing that religious card.

But we know Christians have ruled northern and mid-beltan states.
From Patrick Yakowa,to Ortom to the guy in Jos .

I don't know what's this noise maker trying to prove?! undecided

Oga leave all these career growth nonsense and take the higher paying job.

You use it as a stepping stone to apply for better jobs in 6-9 months time. Employers are not really expecting much specialization from you as a graduate hire (less than 3 years work experience). All they need is to know that you can think and have an idea of how a corporate setting works.

If you take the 70k job, you may find yourself always struggling to meet up with your personal needs and this will have an adverse effect on your output in that telecoms job. You will not even be able to free your head and achieve the things you want to do in the job, let alone your personal life.

Take the 100k job, stay for about 6-9 months and apply for new ones. You will get.

Career path thingy is for when you have done 2-3 years of corporate work. Then you can go for Masters and start aligning your career the way you want.

You are on point

Family / Re: My Younger Brother Is A Bone In Our Throat. Pls Help! by Tribu(m): 9:56pm On Dec 24, 2021
Cyntie55:
Good day nairalanders. Season greetings to y'all. I'm so angry right now. Please I need mature advice.

My father is not a learned person but he make sure all his children are graduates. My younger brother(last born and only son) rounded up his Nysc few months ago, we're just 2 girls. My elder sis and I. My elder sis is a nurse in Austria (3 years now), she's married with a kid in Austria. My big sister send money home once in 3 months, and I have been the one receiving the money. I share the money exactly as instructed by my big sis. I have never cheated anyone, Infact my Dad and Big sis communicate very well. My Dad trust me so much.

My younger brother is always angry, He said he feel cheated all the time. He shouts and talks to me anyhow like I'm his mate.
Honestly speaking, I gave my younger brother more love and respect that he could ever imagine. When he was serving, he would call telling me he need 10k urgently, sometimes 20k, that he will pay back. Immediately I will send it to him and he would never pay back. Same thing he does to my father.
If we ask him what's he using his allawee for?? He would angrily say so is becus we're sending him "chicken change" that's why we're asking jamb questions.

He said we don't regard him, he called my Dad a SIMP, he said my Dad listen more to my big sis and I....but he don't listen to any of his suggestions.

My brother is a 2:1 (second class upper) graduate in economics from UNIBEN. After his Nysc all he does is to sleep and eat. My Dad's good friend told my brother to come to Lagos and resume work with him. He refused. My Dad ask him if he wants to further his education (masters or professional courses)he said no....Okay follow my Dad to his cement shop and help him (my dad even promised to pay him salary) he refused....I overheard him on a call with a friend and i suspect he's now into yahoo yahoo.

Look at what happened. My big sis sent us money yesterday to celebrate this festive period. She said I should give my brother 50k, I should take 80k and give my father the rest (abt 250k). My Dad is always aware of everything.
I even added 20k out of my money and I transferred 70k to my brother, I was left with 60k (becus she also sent me hair and I plan to sell it becus I already had enough). You can imagine this ungrateful idiot started insulting me, that I cheated him. the fool angrily withdrawn the money from his account and SET IT ON FIRE (70k). He called my elder sister and started warning her saying "if he can't receive the money henceforth, she should stop sending him money again that he's the man of the house".
My Dad gave him a resetting, resounding, hot and dirty slaps. He pulled out a knife, deflated my Dad's car tyres and ran away from the house.

Everyone is not happy. I don't want my brother to live a wayward life. He's 24 years old. Please nairalanders Help!

Nigeria is a mega nation now. We should not be guided by emotions, elections in Nigeria will be between super powers. Miracle of having a non popular politician to become the number 1 citizen can never happen in Nigeria again. Never!

How many times have you seen NBM call a press conference to condemn the conducts of erring members?

How many times have NBM demanded justice for people who were extrajudicially killed by members?

Now back to my earlier reply, you demanded that BBC should apologize for reporting the atrocious activities of NBM members. Why should BBC apologize? Members of NBM in this BBC report described abdominal crimes committed. Has NBM done anything about these crimes by members if they were such a noble organization?

It's an organization, i believe they have a way of condemning or even punishing their erring members (they may not necessarily call a press conference for that).

Just some months ago or also, some guys who claimed they are members almost got a lady killed, it was said that other members of the same organization handed those guys to the police. What do you make of that?Perhaps, there are many other cases like that they have fished out the bad eggs to the authority.

I still don't get, is there any member in the said report that admitted being a member of NBM and committed those crimes (forget about the masked 'members')?

This is a complete defamation of character and réputation of a registered organisation under the Law (CAC) guiding the fédéral républic of Nigeria.
BBC has committed offence of libel and slander.

I observed from the short vidéo that the journalist aim of the documentary was personal and biased because you will clearly hear him say he is doing this because of his friend Who was a cultist that was shot dead about 20years ago.

NBM OF AFRICA WORLDWIDE is a Pan African Movement that is dedicated to upholding the intergrity and dignity of Africa and its members. Its a highly disciplined Organization that crime or any form of insubordination is not allowed or accepted.

Its very disppointing that BBC and his racist journalism (which has been their modus operandi) has resorted to tarnishing the image of a well certifiéd Organization that have products of Doctors, Lawyers, Government officials, musicians and other fields of professions.

Its very obvious now that some hoodlums and street urchins will commit crime and possess illégal guns and once they are caught instead of charging them as criminals they will say they belong to NBM which is false. Because NBM has never and will never instruct its members to commit crime.

But not withstanding, as an ultimatum has been giving to BBC. If they fail to comply and apologize they will surely face the legal wrath of the organisation members WORLDWIDE.

I rest my case.
Test and see that the Lord is Good.

Thank you

Both BBC and the so called Journalist that made this Dense, unintelligent broadcast or allegation must be working for those that are enemies of NBM and they should be brought to book. NBM IS NOT

Blemishing or Mollycoddling the good name and good works of NBM wouldn't stop them from contributing to the society and the world at large.
IF THEIR ALLEGATION WAS TRUE AS THEM SAY WHY WILL THOSE BEEN INTERVIEWED ON THE VIDEO BE ON MASK?

Most people blemishing the name (NBM) are enemies of the good organisation and members of those evil cult groups in Nigeria, they are working to bring down and tarnish the name of NBM but as we know what Is good is good. NBM IS NOT A CULT OR TERRORIST GROUP

It's obvious that the documentary is a targeted documentary by the enemies. If not, why the lopsided report?

What do you mean apologize? Apologize for airing what you and I know as the truth? I don’t get this. Is Blackaxe not NBM? Are they not involved in extrajudicial killings just like other hideous groups you find in the University?

When are we all gonna grow brain and decide to get thing right in this country?

And the clowns want to go court? Where their heinous crimes will be further exposed in court? ... jeez! This attitude is typical of our Nigerian leaders. When they get exposed, they lie, lie some more and double down on the lies.

Hey Mr. U still have not gotten this, or you just being sentimental (probably u belong to another confra). Nobody is promoting cultism here. The reports on BBC is targeted at defaming NBM and its members many of whom are not criminals. That there's a bad egg(s) in an organization does not make the entire organization evil. You will be surprise to know that many people you revere and respect in your immediate environment are members. What will you do if you find out, loose your respect for them??

And, why is the focus just on NBM?

I read your write up and I quite agree with some of your submissions, but I'm of the opinion why the doc focus on NBM solely?

OK..agreed..."the documentary anchor claimed his childhood friend "dapo" was dropped by Axemen"...fine

How about Pirates confraternity founded by likes Prof Wole
Other fraternities like Ogboni, lodge, Armoc does exist till today for Nigeria, yet nothing is being said or reported by BBC.

Inasmuch I do not support cultism, the BBC reportage is unbalanced and they were in a hurry to push false narrative out there.

It all sentiments bro. I also wonder why. On a serious note, all these documentaries and castigation of NBM is putting them on a more global scale. I remember in GST during my undergrad, there's a question that asked; what's the most dreaded cult group in Nigeria? The answer was probably NBM, i now ask, as a teen with youthful exorbitant growing up in such an environment who would not want to join the most dreaded cult (ask many the reasons why they join a cult).

Much should be done rather than this loopsided report on a particular cult while there are many out there. Even doing worse.

Where else in the world have you seen a fellow politician kneel to the president if not in Nigeria? Now tell me, does this person have the best interest of his constituents or is he simply looking out for himself and his political career? What a shame.

In as much as I quiet agreed with you that our politicians are ass lickers. U should also know that we are Africans and there are many ways we show respect to our elders. Kneeling before an elder is one of them. So stop comparing everything in Nigeria to the rest of the World.
