graduate of history and international studies,

I'm pure South, birthed in core North, moulded in the middle, the center of unity, reside in the west-- in relative geographical terms . I can confidently assure every society has its pros and ills. Please, Don't sit in your father's compound scathing and stereotyping sets of people whose domains you probably ever haven't attempted! You have no right, whatsoever.BTW, I sense if we are to remain as one entity, this Nairaland-browbeaten generation will play a subtle, yet enormous role in that. So we have our choice.

I would rather have snubbed your "#50 data" cackle, but, for the records, I was referring to, not just him but, the bulk of the, especially, contemporary musicians who come up with immoral, lascivious crazy displays and contraptions of some so-called music and splash them on the faces of people who have lost the better part of their decency for patronage and consumption. That's the whole point.

School is not necessarily a scam. It's just that it doesn't make any sense to keep someone in school for 4-5 years to study non- professional courses. Two years should be more than enough to earn a degree in Humanities/Social sciences, Liberal Arts. Four years for Sociology? Please!

But the tuition is too enticing for the universities to face the facts.

Actually, I still feel there is something shady and flawed about the "school" setting as conventionally being run, especially in our climes down here. But for a very few number of courses, There is sparse application and real life impact of what we are being taught vis-a-vis the curriculum still being used. I love learning but not useless, dysfunctional knowledge. I studied Engineering in my country, Naija so I know this vibe!
