My neighbour gave birth to her baby girl around this period, so she never heard the word "Up Nepa". The day the light issue was resolved and electricity was restored, the little girl nearly had an heart attack due to the chants of "Up Nepa" that filled the air that unforgettable evening! Street scatter! Everybody was dancing on the street! It was like a dream and miracle put together
Years later, electricity is still a big deal and still feels like something extraordinary. I thank God for solar energy. The only connection I have with Nepa and gen now is to pump water occasionally.

Na trenches be this for solar walahi. My setup isn't able to add more than 50% charge to my 4KWH battery in a day for the past few days, especially since I'm off-grid and there's rarely NEPA light anyway.

I have bought 2 batteries from Valto and they work well till dat since 2 years ago, Buying from Valto which is a coupled batteries , I gave room for any sort of small issues . His batteries are good and new better than felicity. I would rather get batteries off Valto and learn how to couple them than spend 3.5 million for all these big names , I guess because I am a technical person.
Valto is a trader in my terms and I don't also expect customer services from him like a big company .
My conclusion is simple , Not because your inverter went off today or the battery has some issues make Valto a bad dealer . He is a good honest seller. I am looking for money to get 2 more batteries from him .
Sorry for your inconvenience sha . Right now I have my inverter with Victron for over a month , I have been chasing them but no response. Lets jus try and manage ourselves please

durodee: Update on this review: I recently installed 2 more of this CC : one for my use and one for a friend. Both CCs behaved different from previous installs. 1) They get much hotter than the older make. I suspect the fan speed. The new ones have fans that are very silent but not as efficient as older variants. Temps of the new ones got as high as 65°C despite the fan being on! 2) The temperature sensor gauges differently on the old and new variants ans could be off by almost 5-10 degree 3) On a good note, harvest seems better than the old variants How do you know which one you got? The OLD variants had a light that constantly blinks in the fan recess in front.
Good observation. I noticed the new type also has an added menu option for calibrating the battery voltage.

My Reolink 5MP camera I bought and kept for like 2 years (forgot I had it ) has gone bad too.
Same thing happened to my heart rate monitor I bought and never used. Remembered the other day I was doubting the rate my watch gave after an exercise The thing no longer works.
All these devices no longer works after about 3 years of it been left in their pack

I have a couple of equipment I have not opened for like 2years. Maybe that's why manufacturers add that dessicant to their products in cartons to handle humidity.
Xanderone: Someone mentioned few posts back that appliances may stop working if put in storage for a long time without use. Is this why you made that statement - (deform for lack of use)?
I have a Bluetooth energy meter that I retired/disconnected from the set up about 2 years ago and actually intended to sell it that time. I later put in storage. Few days ago, I tried to reconnect it and found out the screen backlight would not work. I even thought the monitor was bad, but I was able to shine light at some angle and realized it was the backlight. This is something working perfectly before it went into storage.
Pray tell, it this school of thought so valid?
I fear cos I have spare inverters (12v, 24v, 48v) in storage for use as back-up on days when repairs (God forbid) needs to be done on main units.

I had the blessing to chat with a guy that has a phone charging shop he runs mainly off of solar and gen to compensate. In his worst days he makes 10k per day, zero maintenance cost when he is on solar.
He told me he can't even meet the demand as his chargers are always fully booked.
He said he doesn't want to expand just because he doesn't have the time to monitor a staff so he handles this one himself.
Sapiosexuality: What could be responsible for an inverter reading 0 watts when the sun in early morning sun. I noticed these fluctuations yesterday. It moves from 1.5kw to 500 and even to 100w and less. What could be the problem?
It probably has a slow MPPT tracking algorithm at work.
RickyM: I’ve not been on here for a while, I ended up buying 519L Haier Thermocool but it’s not doing the job as I expected and it consume at least 240W even though it’s rated 140W But it’s not actually all useless as I plan on getting fabricated ice block machine and whenever I harvest I will be putting them inside the freezer
jonescosmos: I will share with you my personal experience with these servo stabs.
THEY WORK AT THE BEGINING BUT WILL GRADUALLY FAIL.
Yes, they will fail because the movable parts on that huge toroidal coil will interact with the dusts that are settling on the spindle and coil. After a while, the dust might create a short circuit on the surface of the coil and then the stab will start dropping breaker or fuse due to the explosions from the short-circuit. I have had this issue with more than four different brands, same issue ooo. Service center guys will try to file off the affected surface and it will work well only for the fault to return after a while. I eventually stopped taking stuff to the service centers and started opening them up first damn the warrantee, see what went wrong and decide if I should go through the hassle of lifting heavy stabs to service center every now and then. So during my quest, I discovered that DUST IS THE WORSE ENEMY OF A SERVO STAB.
Then I switched to a relay version and I have been using it for more than 5 years and counting without a single issue.
My Advice: If you must do a servo stab, make sure it's dust proof.
A quick hack to the dust issue could be just lying the stab on it's side rather than standing it upright. That is if the heavy coils are well secured inside for that orientation though.
That way dust would take a very long time to settle in the contact surfaces.
Selfkontrol: Serious matter. Op I understand how your brother feels because I have been in same situation years ago. Mine was just a single spot but keeps growing everyday. I bought lots of drugs and applied lots of things but nothing. Lasted me for two years. I had on several occasions cut it with razor blade but it kept growing back and it was just too embarrassing. It’s a bacteria infection that’s in the bloodstream and needs to be treated from the inside. Don’t bother applying anything on it. what took care of mine was azithromycin. You can easily get it at the pharmacy. Don’t bother going to the hospital because you would end up wasting money everyday. Get azithromycin one pack and finish it. It would dry up within days and you can peel it off and that it. You can repeat the dozes the next week. After that come back and thank me. Peace
So many things could have gone wrong. The battery provides a reference voltage for the inverter to start working and every other things flows from there. Na fry you fry am so, except it has some exceptional protection o.
If you are in lagos, better. Others outside Lagos is still possible but either you find a reputable installer or you are patient and I get one for you.
