Xanderone: Good evening everyone. I came across this multi-split AC by LG in a foreign online advert.
Has anyone come across it in Nigeria? Do you use it or know anyone who does? If so, how is the performance and the power consumption like considering that the external unit will likely be bigger.
I have used managed something similar at a clients work place. That one has a tower design outdoor unit.
Pros: 1. Space saving since less outdoor mounts are needed. 2. Less cable runs 3. Easier to troubleshoot since only one outdoor for all the indoor units
Cons: 1. Lack of redundancy. If anything happens to the outdoor unit, the whole building suffers. 2. You can't turn off one indoor unit, else the other indoor units stop cooling. Although this ad seems to indicate this model has fixed that problem 3. Cooling isn't so great compared to split outdoors systems. 4. More piping runs and this seemed to affect performance of indoor units farthest from the outdoor unit. 5. Read number 1 again.
mctfopt: I understand all these, the plan is to put as much PV panels as I can per growatt. I'm sort of annoyed I can only do less than 5kw when said inverter can do 6kw.
Growatt has a maximum PV input current of 22A. I'm unhappy I can't run parallel as most panels above 400w has Isc more than 11A making parallel impossible. The other alternative is to get lower capacity PVs, the space is very limited.
You sure you are actually reading the recommendations and advices given?? Calm down and read them o
leisuretym: All I see is pure emotional blackmail which you are the beneficiary of , she was sending you messages on whatsapp only for you to ignored her and jumped here like antelope, I pray the fan blow sense into your head, I commend her for handling the matter like she's your elder sister. Bravo she's a super woman
I do 120gig for 22k with MTN. The data doesn't even last 2 weeks before I have to buy again and the network is epileptic most times. I keep shouting "can you hear me" in work calls. Very very embarrassing something.
Just that the hardware costs of Starlink is discouraging, but it is still worth it and provide excellent value for money.
Lots of great items at clearance prices I may not be able to post many pictures due to lack of time and space.

For our battery couplers in the house. I would like to get feedback from those who are interested in coupling a bespoke lithium battery for a small project.
Information and specs will be shared about it to those interested.
Amador1: If you check my previous posts, you will see the issue I’m having with my battery. I’m still waiting for the feedback from the guy he told me to go drop the battery with but you’re right, WhatsApp messages sent to him gets delivered but he doesn’t respond back to it.
Emdee590: This is what I fear the most. Imagine spending millions of naira then one so called professional come mess your work up
The landlord has a share of the problems too. Whenever I hear or read about a client that went with an Installer to market, or went to market themselves and then wants an installer to come install, especially when the client has little to no knowledge of market tricks or installation experience, I just feel they are setting themselves up for trouble.
I recently had a client that wanted to install a 5kva, 15kwh lithium system. I was recommended to him.
I went there did audit, discussed different options bla bla bla. I drew up three different quotes later and sent to this guy, after days of market searching and what not.
After sending him the quotes, my guy said he has run low on cash and is waiting for salary for the month. Month end camd and went still no response, so I sent some messages but he didn't reply after reading my messages. I contacted the wife to ask if he was ok, she said yes that he is just having car issues and is repairing it. I was wondering why car problems will make you not reply simple Whatsapp chat.
I just went silent and went about my normal life.
Few days later, baba called that he is in Alaba, he has gotten the battery, the inverter, this, that...I was like 😳...then he said he wants to pick up panels that should speak with tye seller to confirm if they are original etc. I turned down the request that's I don't do that, especially since that is someone's business and I didn't direct him there.
Long story short, he bought fake panels (likely 250w rebadged as 400w), over priced protection devices setup, not very original PV cables etc etc. At the end of the day, he was still complaining that he spent more than his budget. I just 🤐
Dam5reey: Not 260V. we have High voltage starting at 36V now. this is Sako 1.64KW watts panels producing 1.43KW with only 4 panels rated at 31Vmp total input is 113V from PV
What brand of panels are these? And what time of the day was this taken?
1. what is the battery voltage when is shows 100% 2. what is the Voc of your Charge controller. 3. how was the panels connected, in series, parallel or mixed. 4. what is the panel Voc.
I have a feeling these questions are too technical for her at this stage .
adeshina36: Yes meanwhile have been charging it since yesterday with constant light together with Panel but still won’t get a fully charged battery
You put about 2.5kva load on your lead acid battery?!!!
How are we even sure the panels capacities are real, the size of PV cables are optimal, etc
Your installer didn't give you Dos and Don'ts for your type of system Abi na those type of installers wey de promise 24hrs on top 2 battery....wahalad.
Let me give you some tips for this battery 1. Ideally You shouldn't load your batteries more than about 500watts.
2. You should not use your battery below 50% which is roughly around that 24v you are seeing.
3. Ensure electrolyte level is within range using the hydrometer screwed on it.
4. Ensure your battery charges till float after every deep discharge
adeshina36: The problem is I just did the setup just few days ago and I’m new to solar system but my observation for the few days is don’t take that long for the panel to charge it let say 3hrs but once it’s evening time and I try to put it on the battery is always on either 70% or 66% so I really can’t tell when it’s fully charged.
QuoteJust1nce: He just told you it's currently drizzling. My internet has never gone off while raining but speeds gets reduced (synonymous with satellite internet). Read to understand not to win an argument.
feflo: Total battery storage of your system is 24vdc x 220ah = 5280whrs
Total wattage coming from your panels assuming 4hrs sunshine is 5720whrs
NB: You don't even need all the 5280whrs to fully charge your batteries because you cannot drain your batteries to zero.
Thanks
Shouldn't this advice be given with a caveat? If the battery has load always on it, then the solar charging is reduced. The higher and longer the load stays on the battery the lesser the charging it gets.
Dollyak: Its funny you talked about money but these reasons do not cohere: I am richer than you, therefore I am better than you; I am more eloquent than you, therefore I am better than you. On the contrary these rather cohere, I am richer than you, therefore my possessions are greater than yours: I am more eloquent than you, therefore my speech is superior to yours. But you are neither possession nor speech
oyetpel: 2 PCs of 430 watt at (150k) = 300k 2 batteries of 200ah at (360k) = 720k 35 meters wire of 4 mm at (3300) = 115,500 inverter = 125k Transportation = 20k Installment = 60k Total = 1,340,500
This is the quote I was given, but I intend on removing one battery.
Mavor: Guy man, I got scammed 17m last year. Money when I been wan use start China import side business. Since then, one kind paranoia dey worry me when I wan invest money for any project. Make una no vex for here.
Good to know you have realized your mistake. Being scammed is not good enough reason to be discourteous to a group of people you came to seek assistance from, especially where experiential knowledge is shared FOC.
My one advice, take any all in one, power solution you see with a pinch of salt. Since it's a stop gap you need, just put your expectations to around 70% of their rated capacities.
Drgreatone: Combining in parallel defeats the purpose (I'd av to climb the roof again to reconfigure) and requires bigger wires. Using a 6mm wire already Its a 300w panel with abt 9a of current though max i av gotten is 4. Already mentioned its a 2kva12v hybrid inverter with mppt volt of 30-400vdc. Just feel it doesnt charge well wit solar which is why I'm considering getting a seperate mppt charger. Plan B is to add another panel and see if there's any change.
Hope they are not lower capacity, relabelled panels.
Check your panels, azimuth angle, elevation angle and shading. These three things must be as close to optimal as possible.
