The basis of the argument they got in is the current certificate saga which President Tinubu has found himself in. for some days now, there have been issues and reactions following the release of Tinubu’s academic records the lawyers of PDP’s Atiku Abubakar.

Operatives of the department of state services (DSS) have reportedly assaulted a man who tried to overtake the convoy of Kano governor, Abba Gida Yusuf.

In a video shared on the internet, the security officials attached to the governor were seen dragging the driver out of his vehicle to beat him for attempting to overtake the governor’s convoy.

This act has been condemned by several individuals who felt the driver has every right to use the road and shouldn’t have been treated in an inhumane manner.

Some also said the victim may have even voted for the governor during the election while knocking the officials for assaulting an innocent man.

The Edo state deputy governor, Philip Shaibu on Tuesday, October 3, dedicated his new office ahead of his resumption.

The video shows over 10 priests praying, blessing and spraying holy water inside and outside the premises as other voices can be heard singing hymns and other songs.

They were seen entering the rooms in the office while engaging in spiritual exercise to sanctify the office.

Wild celebrations have rented the streets of Nasarawa following the victory of the PDP governorship candidate, David Ombugadu at the election tribunal.

The election petition tribunal in Lafia, Nasarawa state, had nullified the victory of Abdullahi Sule as governor of Nasarawa, and declared David Ombugadu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as winner of the poll.
During the ruling on Monday, two of the justices said Ombugadu won the election, while one judge dissented.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Sule, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as winner of the election with 347,209 votes.

Ombugadu polled second with 283,016 votes.

However, the PDP candidate had expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome of the governorship election, citing alleged irregularities.

Traders have expressed happiness following the decision of the Lagos state government to re-open Alayabiagba market in Ajegunle after closing it for environmental concerns earlier this week.

The commissioner for environment, Tokunbo Wahab made the announcement of the opening on his social media account with a video that captured the expression of traders.

‘’ After complying with the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Law, Alayabiagba market in Ajegunle was earlier today reopened. We are urging the authorities of each of the Lagos State markets to keep their environment clean at all times to avoid sanction.’’

The commissioner had declared war on filthiness in Lagos markets and has closed down a good number of markets in the state this week.
Just yesterday, the commissioner announced closure of Ladipo market for the same reason.

The commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, via his X handle on Friday, said the market was “sealed for several environmental offences, including reckless waste disposal, unhygienic premises, and non-payment of waste bills, among others.”

He said the market would remain closed until the mandatory conditions of redress were met by traders and market stakeholders, adding that it was part of ongoing efforts at instilling compliance in markets around the state.

Officers of the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) have taken deliberate efforts to eradicate illegal markets in Lagos.

On the order of the commissioner for environment, Tokunbo Wahab, the officers were seen packing food items like yams and pepper owned by Traders running illegal markets at CMD/Magodo axis.

The Supreme Court Of Nigeria has spoken on the fire outbreak that happened this morning at one of the sections of the apex court.

In an interview by AIT after the incident, the director of press and information, Dr. Festus Akande stated that the fire was caused by an electrical problems and that the staff were able to douse it with the use of fire extinguishers.

Asked about documents involved in the fire, Dr. Festus Akande mentioned that the supreme court has an e-library where every hardcopy documents are backed up. He revealed that even if any document was burnt in the fire incident, they can be easily replaced.

He also made it known that no life was lost during the incident.

She made the statement this afternoon during an interview session when she received Tonto Dikeh and senate committee on entertainment at her residence.

According to her, Mohbad explained everything that was going on between him and Naira Marley who was his record label boss during his lifetime.

She also confirmed that Naira Marley and Sammy Larry were part of those who terrorized her son.

She called on relevant authorities to ensure that her son gets the deserved justice.

Mohbad died nine days ago but circumstances surrounding his death has made his demise remain talk of the town. The police have also started investigations into his death and promised to declare anyone unwilling to turn themselves in for questioning wanted.

Earlier today, the FPRO confirmed that his body has been exhumed and autopsy is expected to commence immediately.

The former governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano has been seen walking his dog on the streets of the United States Of America (USA) where he is currently residing.

Willie Obiano has been off the political scene since he left governance two years ago.

World Cleanup Day: “We Owe the Earth Responsibilities to Make It Safer” – DG Rotary Club 9110

The District Governor, Rotary International District 9110, Rotarian Ifeyinwa Ejezie has said that, the enormous responsibilities to make the earth safer and more resourceful are in the hands of everyone, and not just the government. This was at the event to observe the 2023 World Cleanup day organized by the District at Ojuelegba, Lagos on Saturday.

In declaring open the activities to mark the day, Rotarian Ifeyinwa Ejezie, reiterated the importance of environmental cleanup, saying; “the exercise will promote a better human health and improve the environment’s socio-economic values. The environment is our home, if the environment is not healthy, we will not be healthy either. More importantly, cleaning the environment is the key to the existence and survival of life on earth.”

Gov. Yahaya Bello Places Cambridge Examination Best Student On Scholarship In UK

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Yahaya Bello, has fulfilled his scholarship promise to Miss Oluwabukolami Adeyemi, the recipient of the British Council Outstanding Cambridge Learner’s Award for 2022.

Oluwabukolami earned this award in recognition of her exceptional performance in the 2022 Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge AS Level Examinations.



Governor Bello pledged to support Oluwabukolami’s education in the United Kingdom, where she has gained admission to study Law. This promise was made during a courtesy visit by the teenager and her parents to the governor on August 23, 2023.

The scholarship, which covers tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses, was disbursed to Oluwabukolami before her departure for the United Kingdom on September 12, 2023 to commence her studies at the prestigious Newcastle University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.

Oluwabukolami, who aspires to excel in her international legal career with cross-border access to legal practice, described Governor Yahaya Bello’s scholarship award as a miraculous opportunity that will bring pride to the governor, the State, and the global community.

Governor Bello commended Oluwabukolami’s outstanding performance and urged young people to embrace education as the swiftest path to realizing their dreams.

The heavy downpour that lasted for about 10 hours in Lagos state has left some parts of the state unrecognizable.

The state was literally submerged with water as people found it impossible to access roads due to heavy flooding.
