hello team
please i need some guidance
i applied for my masters with my maiden name, although, i got married 2017 but i have not changed my name. my documents all carry my maiden name.
yes, it was not a mistake that i applied with my maiden name. it was intentional.
i just want to know if this might cause a threat to my husband, in case i need to invite him
or if it will cause a threat whatsoever in my application
thank you

please seniors,
my question goes thus: In 2016 i created an account with WES where i sent my BSC transcript for evaluation. i wanted to use it for admission purpose in the USA.
i still have my document with them but now that i want to use the report for Immigration purpose, i sent mails to them but no response yet. will i have to start the process from the beginning or how do i get the Canadian report since my transcript was sent to their office in USA?
please who ever has their number should give me. i have called their number several times but didn't connect
thank you

Work experience from Nigeria do count provided she worked in the required NOC A, B or O as required by Express Entry
She can regularize to become a PR while still a student, No rule that forbids that... People have done it successfully and your sister is not going to be the first.

As being a student, her best bet will be FSW as she is not eligible yet for CEC (She can only be eligible upon completing one year in any of the required EE NOC job for 1 year minimum after graduation)

Having said those all potential immigrant requires a test of official language, the only reason your sister may not require IELTS is if she takes a Test d'évaluation de français (TEF)

I do hope she finds the information useful.

As for immigration lawyer suggested, I could be an unofficial legal immigration consultant... grin grin grin

For the most part look for the sister's thread for guidance... All you need is on there...

thank you so much sir/ma
i appreciate this.
i think filling for PR as a student wont be a bad idea.
please i sent you a PM kindly reply.
thank you

I haven't landed yet but from what I've read, it doesn't necessarily have to be processed from Nigeria. She can start the process there in Canada but she however has to have a legal status at the time of processing. I'm not sure if she can start the process while she's still a student though (I stand corrected). She has to finish school first, get a job and maintain it for at least one year (this is assuming she doesn't have prior work experience) before she can proceed to apply.

Also, what about her work experience here in Nig? cant it be of use if she gets letters from her employers?

i appreciate the knowledge you have shared. please help me answer this if you can. thank you

You won’t be rejected because you are a potential Canadian PR holder. However, they will give you only 2 years. On the other hand, if you land, you get 10 years US Visa.

Same with UK visa. If you apply from Nigeria, they will give you only 6 months.

please what if the applicant is a masters student in Canada and not a PR?
what are his chances? please im asking with respect to US and UK visas. will the person be given 10years too?

Bro please my younger brother would love to contact you. He is applying for a course based masters on public health in usak but surprisingly getting a supervisor is required. He wants to know how he can write the letter. Thought this was required for only research based masters program.
dear Sir/Ma,
I honestly do not how to search for supervisor as I didn't go through that while I was applying. I suggest he check samples online. I'm sure he will find some useful samples.

My personal advice: subject to other opinions .Do your own and the baby first, and later that of your husband. Home tie must be seen to be so strong now. He can always apply later to accompany you with this reason you gave and any other cogent reason(s) as the case may be. Provisions are always available for children.

another thing is , what type of form will they fill?
Moreover, i need him to work so as to be able to keep up with the finances, thats another personal reason i want him to follow me
