JMAN05: Enjoy.

A watchtower online library is not a reliable source of biblical teachings. They have made wrong predictions and teachings which you also admit as an error on their part. So how will i learn from teachers who will always change their teachings tellin me the light is getting brighter. I need you close the watchtower magazine in your hand and open the Bible and tell me wat u undertan by Peter's statement in Acts 5:3-4.

Or are u also telling me that readin the Bible alone is dangeruos without reference to watchtower magazines or reasoning from the scripture?

hisblud: Hi jman and loveroftruth, why no answer, na?
It's a very simple question than many JW will refuse to answer straightaway. They will rather take you through long lecture instead of giving u a straight response.

Hisblud, u need ask urself if u r dealing with, or having Bible discussions with, a christian organization. This will form the next step u'll take in ur future discussion. My JW friend made me understand that they are not christians, or part of the christendom. So i need clarification from JMAN05 if he share similar opinion or belief.

@ loveroftruth, are JW christians or non-christains? Yes or no, i dont need ur jextaposing and long incoherent post.

italo: Be lied to and be God - Acts 5:3-4?
@ loveroftruth, can an inactive force be lied to?

The holy spirit, according to JW, works like electric current, tornadoe, turbine wind, battery etc. So it's not animate but a force (or non living thing) God uses to carry out his actions.
From Act 5: 3-4, Peter asked Ananais and his wife y satan has filled their heart to LIE to the Holy Spirit. So my question now to you is this, if the Holy Spirit is a non-living thing, hw reasonable do u think it can be lied to. Can u lie to electric current, wind, battery etc?

I need u and JMAN05 help explain this verse. Can u lie to an active force?
Christianity Etc › Re: @ JMAN05, Please Defend Jehovah's Witnesses Doctrines Here. by true2god: 9:02am On Nov 11, 2013
loveroftruth: Jw are not part of any other organized religion.

They are just on their own, not affiliated with any other group.

But they love all men as can be seen by the fact that they carry the msg of hope and promises of everlasting life to them in their houses all over the world, giving people an oppurtunity to gain the greatest gift of all, 'everlasting life'.

This they do free of charge.
I asked you if JW are christians or not. This is not a sincere response. If JWs are christians u say 'yes' and if they are not u say 'no'.

gratieao: This fraud happened in Oyo and nobody is crying blue murder

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday, disclosed that suspects in the alleged N5.6 billion scam in Oyo State will be arraigned tomorrow.

A statement by its spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren read: “The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission will on Thursday, November 7, 2013 arraign a former Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs Kudirat Iyabo Adeleke and 11 other suspects at the Oyo State High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan on charges bordering on conspiracy, stealing and criminal breach of trust.

“The other suspects who will be arraigned alongside Adeleke are Muili Hakeem Aderemi, former Executive Secretary, Oyo State Pension Board; Adedutan Johnson; Oguntayo Banji, former Internal Auditor, Oyo State Pension Board and Kareem Rasheed.

Others are: Muili Adedamola; Adesina Jimoh Ayoade, former cashier, Oyo State Pension Board; Adebiyi Olasumbo Musendia, former Admin Officer, Oyo State Pension Board; Johnson Bosede; Iyabo Giwa, former cashier, Oyo State Pension Board, Adewale Kehinde and Olujinmi Adebayo.

“The suspects are alleged to have stolen the sum of N5.6billion meant for the payment of pensions and gratuities to various categories of retired teachers in Oyo State.”

Creating thread about the fraud will amount to time wasted since it will either hidden or deleted
It will hit the front page if this fraud was commited in an Igbo state. As a one poster said earlier, the meaning of fraud is relative to a Yoruba journalist. If the fraud is commited by a Yorubaman, it is ok or will receive a little media coverage. But if the fraud is alleged to have been commited by a Igboman, it will receive a multiple headline, a rejoinder, day in day out.

So u need to understand this old technique.

ayoku777: I'm always confusing JW with the 7th day adventist (7DA). But are they the ones that believe that Jesus is an angel? Or that he is not God?

I have a few JW friends who believe Jesus is God and that confuses me. Guess there are breakout factions like in every other denomination in christianity.

One thing i believe is that in every denomination, there are weird doctrines. From catholics, to methodists, to pentecostals, to JW and adventist. But that hasn't stopped God from having a remnant among them, even in the midst of all the heresis.

So lately i no longer judge individuals by the doctrine of the whole. I prefer to ask 'what do YOU believe?'

I know Christ will build his church, and he will do so through remnants from all this denominations. I know catholics who don't believe all the doctrines of catholics, same with protestants, pentecostals etc.

And i don't believe JW are not christians. If you believe that Jesus Christ is the messiah, the Son of the Living God; and that He died for your sins and rose from the dead for your justification, you are a christian, even if you have some other weird doctrines like purgatory, or there's no hell or Jesus is coming on 15th Dec. This is what the bible calls the COMMON FAITH
U r right to an extent. But u need to understand that doctrines go a long way in shaping an individual or family. Some doctrines can as well destroy individual or family.

Lets take this instance, I am from a family where we r all JW and my sister fell in love with a guy from the redeemed christian church of God. By JW doctrine, my sister has no right getting married to the guy cos he is from another 'religion' or the christendom. So if she goes ahead to marry the guy, against JW teachings, she will be disfellowshipped cos she married someone from a 'satanic' organization.

The consequent of dis singular action will make her family, and her JW friends, shun her because she has commited a 'great crime'. The psychological impact is better imagined than felt. This singular doctrine, i tell u, is capable of tearing a family apart (and has torn some family apart).

The problem is not doctrinal variation, but wen an organization structure their belief such that it alienate individual frm the larger society, thats wat makes the organization dangerous and cult-like. This is because a JW sees the world as 'this system of things' that will soon be 'destroyed by the impending armagedon' hence you must not have anything to do with the larger society (except the watchtower society). This teaching is both wrong and dangeruos.

1cor 7:39

A wife is bound during all the time her husband is alive. But if her husband should fall asleep in death, she is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord.

loveroftruth: can you show evidence from a PDF document that some of those dates relates to Jw for a start ?

Why not add 2000 ?

What has those to do with "day and hour" ?

If Jw show you any info, do you ever care to ask them to verify it to you ?

Oh! You will not, since your love for the scriptures are not strong enough.

Still, it is a shame that none of you can take up a Jw on their doctrin as it were, hence the propaganda.

Be a man and introduce a topic on any of what the Jw preach from house to house like the ones i posted up there and see how the bible will show you how off from the scriptures you are and hence, believing in falsehood.

The most honest and scincere bible students are the ones constantly ensuring that they align themselves with what the bible says.

What loyal set of people they are, that they dont let pride to cloud their bible beliefs and study.
If u called those years i quoted a propaganda then u r 419 in the making (or a new member who knws little about ur org), cos all those years are perfectly quoted in ur WT edition.
Ur 1984 edition which says 'forever men shall live in paradise earth' (my quote of the title might not be completely right) clearly teaches that the generation that experinced 1914 world war will not die off before armagadon! If u need a copy of that edition go check ur 1984 watchtower compedium or as one of ur elders, he might help.

U can as well google the topic frm ur official website u might see the teaching.

Christianity Etc › Re: @ JMAN05, Please Defend Jehovah's Witnesses Doctrines Here. by true2god: 8:03am On Nov 09, 2013
JMAN05: 1. we do not hold to all those teachings you stated. I dont even know where to start and where to end. ok, you can tell me the one you need our current position on.

2. we thought that the number will be complete in 1935. but after that year, some new people began to declare that the spirit bear them witness to be in heaven. You cant tell them no, neither can you say yes.

It is also noteworthy that some of these people could be those who came from churhes into the truth. Some of them do change the heavenly thought with time cos in there church they cant reconcile the idea that a righteous person will be here on earth. but after getting the accurate knowledge that those who will be on earth are still righteous ones, they change their thinking.

The fact is that you can never say with certainty the number that has been anointed to be in heaven. You can do that to some, but not all. that is our position. that is why i ignored that one. it is still among the past i ve been talking about.
U r one of the few honest JWs i have seen recently. Of course we human can make mistakes, but its another thing to admit the error and learn frm it.

Ok my question to u is, since most of the years fixed (1925, 1935---berth sarim, 1975---armageddon, 1984---forever will shall live on paradise earth, where it was taught that generation that experience WW1 will not die before armagedon) earlier by the JW had been admitted as mistakes (dnt wanna use error), dont u think that their 1914 is also a mistake that JW dnt wanna jettison.

Note that for all those years i listed, JWs admitted they make mistakes and are not perfect (note that WTS never still admitted that they make any mistake, but members admit). So my question to u is this, since the watchtower society (WTS) used a special calculation (only knwn to dem) to arrive at 1925, 1935, 1975 and 1984 (1914+'70) and all these years were confirmed false given their escatholigical teachings, dont u think that 1914 is also false? If 1914 is also false (as 99% of xtains belief), y is WTS still holdin unto it as an official year of christ's invisible presence (tho' the Bible didnt not teach any invisible presence)?

Pls clarify.

Islam › Re: What Stops You From Wearing The Hijab? by true2god: 6:19am On Oct 26, 2013
The wearing of Hijab should be voluntary and not compulsory as long as the lady involved does expose her body. In Nigeria where the average temperature is over 38 degree, i dnt think its reasonable to where cloth that will make it difficult for u to get fresh air.

Besides, we Africans have our fashion style that does not involve the wearing of Hijab. Wearing Hijab is a very old Arabian fashion style sanctioned as part of official dress code for muslim ladies.
Islam › Re: 3 Things You Love About Islam by true2god: 10:29am On Oct 25, 2013
ZACHIE: only one thing I love about Islam and it's the burial rite of Islam.

A dead body is a carcass that must be speedily disposed off.
Islam understands this and makes no excuse for the rich and poor.
During Mohammed era there was nothing like murtuary, so it is normal for burial to take place immediately to avoid decomposition of the body. But modern science, with the availability of means of preservation, human carcass might not be buried the same date.

There are cases whereby family members, who are not around when a relative died, might want to pay their last respect b4 the final burial.

If someone died in a mysterios circuntanaces there might be need to carry out autopsy on the dead to ascertain the cause of death so that future occurence can be averted, especially wen the death is not natural.

So in this modern era when there is means of preserving human corpse from timely decay, immediate burial might be out of it.
