You are right! I had to search and sometimes I am even surprised with myself how I get most things right.

It’s a no brainer with Nwakali. I have said it in recent times that he does possess some things that the current team lacks. That is not to say we don’t need other additions in that department.
I did a simulation on EA sports FIFA 23 with our current SE setup from the quarter finals to the finals of the nations cup…. The addition of Nwakali gave us victory by 2 goal margins all the way to the finals. I am not a fan… but I was really surprised.

A month ago on this forum, the funeral of the super eagles was been planned when the Super Eagles was very much alive. Some Monikers on here had already started selling Asoebi, some had hired the band that will play at the funeral, some had hired cooks for the occasion and casket had been bought. Fast forward to one month later… the Super Eagles are not only alive but actually thriving. The same folks who were planning the funeral are now the most vocal ones giving advice on how the Super Eagles should set up and play.
There are very few who believed they would get to this stage. I wish us all the best in our Final match to day.

Honestly, I was almost giving up on that prediction made Pre tournament but when I saw him coming on today, I told my people that Iheanacho will score the winning goal to send Nigeria through.

I thought it was gonna be that freekick but lo and behold... It was the penalty shootouts.

Chaaiii... Thanks Truidstarr for your memory. You are a true Super Eagles fan.

Kelechi Iheanacho was born for this moment!!! To come off the bench for his first taste of action to send The Super Eagles of Nigeria soaring into the final.

WE ARE THE SUPER EAGLES. WE ARE GOING TO THE FINAL FOR OUR FOURTH AFCON TITLE.
🙏 you called it perfectly before the tournament!!! You said Iheanacho would be one our saviors in this tournament.

What I feared may happen unless Peseiro disagrees to sign a new contract. I hope we go for someone who can build from where Jpes stopped, and not start all over.

Well for now, let’s focus on the two remaining matches, though I always have my mind set on the highest prize — the World Cup of course
Oga u no Dey tirehuh

Nigeria's defence yesterday in aerial battles: Absolute Dominance.

Note: Focus on 3 man backline (minus WBs).

William Troost Ekong: 7/7 aerial duels won (100%)

Semi Ajayi: 4/4 aerial duels won (100%)

Calvin Bassey: 4/5 aerial duels won (80%)

Cameroun's Frank Magri lost 12 aerial duels against our backline. He won just 1 out of 13.
Absolutely destroyed.
welcome back

EQG will not defeat Ginuea. Nigeria vs Cameroon is 50/50.

Cameroon will be our most difficult match. If we beat them we will win this AFCON.

The other teams lack the physicality and attack to break us down. And the defence to stop our attack.
The Cameroonian side leaks a lot of goals. If we get it right tomorrow..expect a goal harvest.

All the naysayers are back again… dem talk say we no go pass first round… we will be disgraced at the Afcon…Jpes is “dumb”, “useless”, “low budget “, tactical dinosaur “ etc…. We pass first round. Now they are back… with all the negativity. Abeg make una leave our team for us… there are many teams you can support.

The elephant in the room is that Osimhen has been sub par. If Nsue (a wing back in division 100 in Spain) had the same chances Osimhen has had, he would have already been presented the golden boot.....still somehow Moffi, Iheanacho and Onuachu have combined for a total of 3 minutes so far between them...
Una no dey tire to complain?

Like the 7 points doesn’t mean anything luck played a huge role here not technique or well drilled plans
Ivory Coast wey get well drilled plans and technique… where dem dey now?

Second round of the AFCON is always a different ball game. We have seen this play out over and over. In 2013 we only managed to score two late penalties against Ethiopia to finish with 5pts in our group and by the knockout phase we saw a different team. In 2021 we finished our group in flying colours but crashed out at the second round. AFCON history has taught me that the knockout phase is usually a different ball game and I usually go on the path of history. This team can get better at the knockout stage.

We are to play the runner up in the group of:
Senegal
Guinea
Cameroon
Gambia

Most likely to be Guinea or Cameroon.
We can defeat any of these two if we play to our full potentials.
I have a funny feeling that once we are able to score… the flood gates of goals will open.

My brother you know getting to 'semifinals of WC' automatically translates to winning AFCON naa!

Seriously speaking as much as they are favorites it will be interesting seeing how they cope taking the game to their opponents who will now sit back and counter like Morocco did at the last WC.
