I would lovingly advice you put all your questions directly to the author (pray to Jesus in a quite place and reverently), it will serve two purposes: 1) you will come to know that he lives 2)he is the one to satisfy all such queries, because he decided to do what he thought best and is best placed to provide the answers and he said "ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and you shall find. . . ".

another thing, the name of the God of the Bible is "I AM WHO I AM" and he doesnt take advice from anybody, and more so from his creation on what, when and how to do what he likes! hope that is ok with you!

He is omnipotent God, and he has revealed himself to all creation and he will prove it on the day of the judgement. The question should not be "whether his actions and words were right or wrong", it should rather be "how can I be saved and receive this God".

How can a weak man question the powers of God and his working?!! Man is so weak, helpless and clueless that he cant even have dominion over his own body for which he lives and can even die for it. God said you cant even turn your grey hair into black and black hair into grey. Can you do this simple exercise with all human scientific advancements available to you?

The truth that most people that claim to be born again don't even understand the bible, they are mostly selfish and self centerd and christ is NOT in them. That doesnt mean all are like that. People who see bad examples are looking for excuses. Have you kept the greatest commandment, why judge others? Are you to follow Christ or the church pastor and all the wrong examples you quoted. Samuel had no good example either in Eli or his two sons who were immoral. He did not even have his family or parents, he was dedicated at 7 years of age to be with Eli in the temple. Yet, he loved the Lord and set an excellent example right from 7years. He had no peers to look up to but he did not complain because his heart was set on following the path of righteousness and serve the Lord. The Lord blessed him to the very end of his life. What is your heart looking for - bad examples or good examples. You will find what you are craving for. May we take good examples and let God deal with the bad examples if what you are saying is true.

I have no problem, its your opinion. I think I stated quite adequately and clearly what is my experience of the Bible and its God for more than 15 years now.

Children can't always understand what they are reading. They are also susceptible to other peoples' definitions. They can easily be moulded by others who may not have their best intentions in mind.
Surely it's better to approach with a critical but open mind?

You dont need to understand on your own, if you humble like a child then the Spirit can teach. If you act over-smart, then you are on your own. You are explaining too much about a child and missed the main point of what quality of a child was being conveyed!

Being born again is not the be-all and end-all. In some case you can swap the word "born" for "dead".

Being born again is the foremost requirement to be able to have a relationship with God and understand the depth of his word, the Bible - no debate on this.

Anyone can say that they are born again yet not really understand what it entails.

Lets not talk about anybody or talk about the whole world, thats a way to find excuses. What about you, are you born again? or do you want to be born again?

I personally dont find anything twisted in the Bible (for the glory of God - I have read the whole Bible more than 5 times and some books more than 50 times). The important thing is one should be born again and then should stop worrying about the twisting or big theological arguments and the hebrew and greek debates, etc. etc. But simply read on with humility like a child or better a weaned child(Psa 139). Everything will be crystal clear and will make a person wise.

OT and NT are beautiful books all written by God and for every human being (no jew, no gentile, no male no female).  Some portions may be specific but even such portions have a message for all. I have been blessed everytime I read it.

How do we find the true God? Not by trying all gods and ruling them out one by one. That is the devils way of confusing as he is creating more gods and gurus every day so new arguments confuse everybody. Start with Christ.

Once I asked a friend from a large national bank as to how they recognise all the different fake currency notes that come into circulation. He revealed something quite practical and startling. He said, they dont train the staff every time a new fake currency comes into circulation. Instead, they train the staff on how to recognise the real currency. They are taught rigorously on the real currency: every corner, every dot, every line and every single sign on a currency on both the sides, the paper quality, the water marks, etc. etc. are thoroughly taught. Such trained personnel are then able to recognise any fake currency the moment it is presented to them.

It is useless to prove other gods wrong, it is waste of time. It would be more profitable if a true seeker accepts and follows one when you find one. For finding the true God one should have some basics on who qualifies to be god. I provide characteristics of God and believe that no religion or person would have problems agreeing to these righteous characteristics. God is:

- one who is holy, righteous, loving, forgiving, kind, gentle, joyful, peaceful, wise, patient, faithful,
- one who always speaks the truth (one who never lies)
- one without beginning and without end
- one who was never born and never die
- one who is master over life and death
- one who has created all things and master over all things seen and unseen, living and non-living
- one who knows all things
- one who promises justice, who can punish the wicked
- one who is all knowing
- one who has a solution to any problem
- one who is always victorious, never defeated
- one who is speaks, answers, listens, corrects, protects, guides, consoles, reveals,
- one who gives assurance that  he is the creator, protector, judge, father, mother, brother/sister, friend, elder, shepherd, guide
- one who makes you feel safe, secure, happy, satisfied in your complete body, soul and spirit.
- one whose presence makes you feel good and satisfied.

These are to begin with and many more titles can be added.

Now, can you put YOUR god or all other gods you know of and check out which ONE fits this bill.
I personally found the God of Christians fulfills all the Godly qualities comprehensively! I personally have tasted most of the characteristics of God in my life through Christ and I am satisfied about its authenticity and truth. Therefore, for me, this is the true God (God the Father and his Son Lord Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit!)

Others are: Muslims,Allah;  Hindus,330 million!;  Budhists, Buddha (they dont consider him God), Sikhs,Guru Gobind Singh and 9 others (they dont consider them God, but spiritual teachers. Guru = teacher), Jains: Mahavira (they dont consider him God, but a spiritual teacher), zoarashtrians:?   , Parsis:?

I was not there when any of the things written in the Bible happened, but I love the truth and so I believe it absolutely. So I was there when Genesis 1 tells about creation, I dont have even 0.0001% doubt!! I absolutely believe whatever I read from the Bible, I believe when Daniel was thrown to the lions, I believe when David killed Goliath, I believe when God took his children out of Egypt and all the plagues and the wilderness journey, I believe everything in the Bible and my heart agrees.

Earlier, when I did not receive Christ as my personal saviour I used to doubt everything like you and I could not believe anything from the Bible, it all looked like lies even though I was born in a believing christian home.

God has given me discernment so I can differentiate the truth from lies. You can also have this beautiful nature through Christ.

He is a good God and therefore he has secured eternal life by sacrificing his son Jesus Christ, so that whether you die in an earthquake, or a nuclear attack, or sickness or natural death your soul is secure for eternity. Is this not a good God the one who promises eternal life, one who promises crossing over from death to life, one who promises no punishment for your sins but takes every single sin on himself and dies on the cross setting the receiver of the gospel free from punishment? Is this not a good God who has prepared a place for you in heaven? Is he not a good God who walks with you every minute of your life till you reach him? The creator has so clearly stated that in the Bible. He also gives an account in many places how it was created. Nobody else has the power to even claim it or explain how it was done. Jesus is the creator. When on earth he walked on water and they did not drown him, he turned water into wine, he restored the eyes of the blind, he raised the dead to life, he cured the leapors, he rose from the dead, which other God did this? God doesn't need certification from you to be acknowledged as God. It is you who need to know him and acknowledge him as God. He has given enough proofs for all to see, those who still do not see unfortunately stand condemned already. good, you know the earthquakes are caused due to meeting of huge continental plates. But which scientist friend of yours can set up a continental plate with water as its foundation? It is God of the Bible who created heavens and the earth. Scientists are only discovering its functioning.

Which scientist friend of yours can predict the earthquake or the movement of these plates? Which scientist friend of yours can explain why these plates move and when these plates will move? It is God who decides or has already set a principle in motion.

Whatever the scientists have said so far is only discovery of what God has created. So if you can boast so proudly of the scientists who have only discovered an iota of what God has created, I wish you could behold the beauty and wisdom of the creator himself - Jesus Christ!

I have broken down your post into 4 parts. My belief:
1. Yes, there is life after death. "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
2. After death soul goes either to paradise or hell.
3. I believe Hebrew verse has much to be read in the verse, `to die once and face judgement' speaks of a long time in between both. For unbelievers on Christ, the final Judgement for sinners is in Rev.20, for believers the judgement seat of Christ as in 2Cor5. So all dead without Christ will wait a long time for final judgement and thrown into the lake of fire. The unbelieving dead however will know immediately on death that they are doomed to hell, ex. the rich man in Luke.
4. There is no re-incarnation, but resurrection of the body of both sinners and saints - unrighteous will be resurrected for eternal damnation and the righteous in Christ to eternal glory.

Unbelievers will scoff these truths of the Bible, but will be enlightened immediately the day they die but too late to realise after death when the fate is sealed.

Believers will live by faith on the Bible while on earth, but cannot prove it to unbelievers - it is by faith. Believers will accept the testimony of the Holy Spirit because their spirits are quickened due to the gospel of Jesus Christ and cleansing through the blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore they are able to hear and believe clearly all of God's word, the Bible.
