Good morning house,
Kindly advise, I applied for a b1/b2 visa to attend a sponsored conference with all sponsorship evidence intact but couldn’t get an interview date early enough to attend the conference. Is it still advisable to progress with my interview at a later date using the same DS160 especially as the conference happens every year at the same time? I am asking because the sponsorship letter was dated this year and I would have attended as planned if not for the inability to get an interview date. However, I hope I can still do the interview and attend next year as the sponsorship would still be available? |

Good evening house,
Please is it advisable to select b1/b2 instead of b1 when filling the Ds160 form
Even if primary reason for trip is business? |

donbabe2000: i just recieved a refuasal mail after i waited for 2 month i used a sponsor and i ahve travelled to 3 countries the reason for their refusal is still not clear to me please can someone assist to elaborate on the refusal letter as am confused
REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0 You have applied for a visa to visit the UK. In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for visitors (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitorrules), I have considered: your application your immigration history The decision I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) 4.2 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for visitors because: You state that you wish to travel to the United Kingdom for 15 days for tourism. While I acknowledge that your sponsor proposes to bear the cost of your visit. However, I must take into account your personal and economic circumstances in your home country when coming to my decision.
You state you are employed as a Customer Service Officer earning a monthly salary of 89020.06 NGN (£184.70 at an exchange rate of £1 = 480.00 NGN as per oanda.com on 09/10/2022). In support of your application, you have provided an employment letter, payslips and bank statements in your name. While I am satisfied that you are employed and receive a salary, however, the bank statements show deposits made into the account which are in excess of your total claimed income. You have not provided any details on your application as to the origin of these funds and I am unable to determine this from the statement or the other evidence provided. I am not satisfied that the funds held in your account are under your exclusive control. I am therefore not satisfied that you have provided an accurate reflection of your financial circumstances in Nigeria as stated on your application. Additionally, I note a bank balance for account number ending 5363, this shows a balance in USD. However, as this is just a balance I cannot determine where these funds originate. Therefore I cannot confirm that you have sufficient funds available for your visit. You state that you earn 1,000,000.00 NGN (£2074.86) a year from another income. However, with the information you have provided you have not demonstrated how or that you are in receipt of these funds as stated on your application form. As such, I am not satisfied that your personal circumstances are as stated by you which leads me to doubt the credibility of the statements made in your application form and your intentions for visiting the UK at this time. In light of all the above, this leads me to question this application, your intentions for this stay and that your declared personal and economic circumstances are as you portray in your country of residence. Consequently, I am not satisfied that only a short visit is intended and you will leave the UK after this trip. From the information on your application form and the documents you have submitted, I am not satisfied that you intend to leave the United Kingdom or that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is therefore refused under paragraphs 4.2 (a) and (c) of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitor Sorry about this. Please what date did you do your biometrics? And TLS? |

Please has anyone experienced this, my cousin got this response. This particular mail looks more familiar. Some people get it as an automated response once it’s received at the DMC lately. As for the initial one I haven’t seen it before, perhaps that came after a paid mail. |

alert20: I think applications now takes exactly 9weeks and some days to decide, 2 people got their visa last week and their Biometric was July 4th... ✌️✌️ This isn’t entirely accurate. I know people who did biometrics on Aug 4th and got their visas on the 1st of September. It’s really not cast in stone |

Enimase: I used both my salary account and savings and I explained every other payment as low as to 5,000 naira that’s not related to my salary in cover letter on my salary account my outflow didn’t match though but since I explained some other payment as low to 5,000 and other large deposits that’s not up to my amount stated as salary on my cover letter that’s what I did Thanks for the feedback. I just wanted to know if it’s necessary to discuss outflows in addition to all payments received. This helps as I can see the emphasis is on inflows |

And not have to submit it

Good evening house,
Kindly advise on what could be done if TLS fails to send application confirmation email after payment has been made but goes ahead to send the 72 hours reminder mail before biometrics.
They equally didn’t send a payment confirmation mail for additional services paid for |

askari01: 2month is still fine or a little above 2month... Lets say 2.5 but try not to exceeed that. My advise. So just to be clear, are you saying someone who has a disposable income of 100k cannot declare a budget greater than 200 or 250k regardless of how much they have in savings? |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by TruthCorp: 2:04pm On Jul 06, 2022 |
askari01: 2m is a huge sum of money...if you are being invited to the UK , £1k will be fine
If using hotel or hostel for 6days ,£1300 is ok. all should be calculated using oanda rate and not black market pls.
Flight- 650 accomodation- 300 pocket money- 350 If u like do shopping, e no concern embassy so therefore dont attach too much importance to shopping money.
Ensure no lodgement or boosting of accounts like Nigerians call it.Dont sell ur property and ask the buyer to send into ur salary account few weeks to your application or get back a soft loan from a friend ,keep ur account clean n straightforward... they know all those tactics.
Ensure not spending more than 2.5-3times ur disposable income Thank you very much for the feed back Yes I’m traveling alone So the £1100 is inclusive of a return ticket valued at £700 with a daily average spend on accommodation, feeding etc of £100 X 6 which sums up to £1,300 (made a typo with the 1,100) I have been using the exchange on O&a currency converter as a guide on how the embassy would convert my Naira deposits (I hope that’s okay?) and going by this £1,300 amounts to N654,692 which is about 33% of the 2m balance. Looking to make it as simple as possible that’s why I initially opted for my salary account alone where I very much intend to explain every inflow and outflow. Thanks again |

I go to Abuja for meetings. Just shoot me a message when you resume. We can catch up over some wraps of suya one of these evenings when I’m in Abuja. Oga Jarus, could you please share any valuable insight on selecting an appropriate PFA. Any outright recommendation would equally be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Chukeg: Graduate Training is actually 9 months at Ejeba Warri according to xfire. But salary increment may be after 3years. I guess that's what he meant At entry level, you are going to bear the tag “Graduate Trainee” for 3 years, while the FSTP lasts for a period of 9 months. |

Please what is up with this new found trend of "Cryptic" information sharing. Why present people with one word information or arbitrary statements. I thought the goal was to inform others rather than to gloat. It is quite Alarmist! It makes me appreciate the likes of Jarus even more, who always gave concise and detailed information. We all know the end is here, if you have more specifics kindly share. |
