seun, lalasticlala mynd44 let the world know nairaland celebrates everyone with "impact makers menatality" and not "we are superior mentality" |
Scientific and Historical records prove conclusively that: No African race is inferior to any race on earth be it white or black in terms of intelligence. If anything records only suggest that races are integrated to civilization at various stages. That social factors may affect pursuits of modern knowledge one way or the other. That it is pure mediocrity and sheer ignorance human nature to think that any race possess any special gene for intellect above another. The difference has always been Motives for Achievement. Why the right motives for achievement leads to celebration and gradual growth the wrong motives for achievement leads to condemnation and rabid growth."we-are-the-best-syndrome" if the claim to being the best doctor comes to your mind then you are not a fit and proper person to lead a hospital management team. Society needs humble people to simple. here is a list of African achievers. If EFE loses, Reno should be held responsible for such irresponsible politicisation of an apolitical show. |
AyakaDunukofia:The question to ask is not which law is greater: municipal or international law? The question should be: Which conditions make one body of law more obligatory than the other? The precedent in law is that international law overrides municipal laws under humanitarian circumstances. Especially when international boundaries had been settled. If Biafra had been sustained through armed conflict or civil disobedience in 1970s by 1980s the international community would have supported separation. But today when "Biafrans" are represented in government more than over 240 ethnic groups in Nigeria, The agitation for Biafra has no successful precedent under international law. |
PapaBaby:You the all knowing god. tell the world what Awo as a private citizen could have done. If the Biafran leaders who styled themselves Christians had read the Luke 14:31 they wouldn't have engaged Nigerian troops in armed conflict. READ. 28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’ 31 “Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. |
in the anthem you will find "if death be the price, let us all die" Neither Ojukwu nor Zik believed that verse. But a lot of Biafran believed what their leaders never believed. In all honesty and without sounding patronising, those innocent Biafran are the true heroes of the Civil war. They remain the greatest examples of citizenry a country should be proud. I hope that Nigeria will one day have citizens not just soldiers who are prepared to defend their fatherland with their lives. TRUTHTOPOWER: |
kingzizzy:"Land of the Rising Sun " was the proclaimed national anthem of the secessionist African state of Biafra , in south-eastern Nigeria . The tune was adopted from Sibelius' "Finlandia" , and written by Nnamdi Azikiwe. Terms of Use • Privacy • Desktop Search Land of the Rising Sun (anthem) National anthem Land of Ebuka sun, we love and cherish, Beloved homeland of our brave heroes; We must defend our lives or we shall perish, We shall protect our Obj from all our foes; But if the price is death for all we hold dear, Then let us die without a shred of fear. Hail to Biafra, consecrated nation, O fatherland, this be our solemn pledge: Defending thee shall be a dedication, Spilling our blood we’ll count a privilege; The waving standard which emboldens the free Shall always be our flag of liberty. We shall emerge triumphant from this ordeal, And through the crucible unscathed we’ll pass; When we are poised the wounds of battle to heal, We shall remember those who died in mass; Then shall our trumpets peal the glorious song Of victory we scored o’er might and wrong. Oh God, protect us from the hidden pitfall, Guide all our movements lest we go astray; Give us the strength to heed the humanist call: To give and not to count the cost’ each day; Bless those who rule to serve with resoluteness, To make this clime a land of righteousness. The Great Zik of Africa composed the beautiful anthem. He eventually helped Nigerian government to quash the Biafran rising sun https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_of_the_Rising_Sun_(anthem) |
As much as one would wish that intrigues of the civil war were never recounted, we must never also shy away from pointing out deliberate lies wickedly peddled to denigrate those who stood for Nigerian Unity. Awo had no command over Yoruba troops in the Nigerian army. He held no executive or ceremonial position in any government in Nigeria at the time Nigeria and Biafra were preparing for war, yet some people thought he had the power to pull Yoruba out of Nigeria. How? Even if someone promised you a thing shouldn't you be wise enough to know whether the person had express or implied authority or power to fulfill the promise? At any rate before the first shot was fired Awo left no one in doubt that he was for one Nigeria in accordance with Aguiyi Ironsi Unification Decree in 1966. Some people are too tribalistic to blame Ironsi who demolished Regional Structures and Federalism. The most shocking was Zik who wrote the Biafran anthem at the outset of the Civil war only to switch allegiance to Gowon government before Biafra itself capitulated. Was Zik a traitor? or did he see reason like Awo did before the war broke out? But we know the mission of the neo-Biafran is simple: To Hate Nigeria and Ignore every fact that seeks to cure tribalistic ignorance. |
over to merchants of death. |
How market. Meanwhile the Military assistance promise made by Trump to Buhari will go a long way to keep Nigeria indivisible. I hope Pro Trump rally by IPOB has not backfired. |
I will not join issues with the those who follow a man described by his own wife as insane. I am glad that the point of insanity has been reinforced by insane comments |
Nnamdi Kanu's wife has sent a coded message suggesting her husband sufferers from "insanity". "He is a man that is obsessed with Biafra to the point of insanity and many times he has said publicly that he would gladly sacrifice me, the children and the wider family" https://www.naij.com/1087505-my-husbands-obsession-biafra-scary-nnamdi-kanus-wife.html A plea of insanity is good defence in criminal law. if Kanu pleads insanity he will not be able to stand trial. All that will be left is psychiatric evaluation. There are concerns that a man who is willing to sacrifice his own family may be to dangerous to unleash on the society. how this plea would help Kanu remains to be seen. |
https://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/nigeria-customs-boss-hameed-ali-issues-statement-on-impounded-661-pump-action-rifles.232023/ The Custom has given the names of those involved in the illegal importation of high calibre guns. custom statement reads: Already three suspects have been arrested in connection with this illegal importation. They are: Mr. Oscan Okafor (Importer) age 51 Mr. Mahmud Hassan (Clearing Agent) age 56 Mr. Sadique Mustapha (accompanying the consignment to its destination) age 28. Investigation has already commenced and I have directed that the drag net should be wide enough to fish out all persons involved in the importation and clearing of the consignment. Already, the Officers involved in the clearance of this container are with the Comptroller FOU Zone ‘A’Ikeja. This is a clear warning to those who preach hate whether they call themselves Christians or Muslims that merchants of death are ready to promote an outbreak of armed conflict just for the sake of mammon. so if you are out there as cheerleaders of fire for fire take another look at the families you are wickedly prepared to sacrifice in order to clear your own doubts about vanities of life NB to whom it may concern: seun, lalasticlala, mynd44, let this information be available to wilful enemies of national unity. There are people who are willing to lead you to wars they know you will never survive. |
mengho:of course he was never invited |
Despite a rare "invitation" to bless the inauguration of President D J Trump, ex President Jonathan has decided to pay homage to the man hated by IPOB, Aremu omo Obasanjo. Why GEJ would choose an "Afonja" over the long awaited messiah of IPOB is unclear. |
The West sure knows how to form solidarity to achieve laudable goals |
Lionbite:IPOB keep accusing Yorubas of betraying GEJ. |
It is difficult to understand the yardstick of fairness in Nigerian political system? Some think GEJ was fairer to Yorubas than PMB? What do you think? Do you think that if any ethnic group should be crying of Marginalisation it shouldn't be any of the big 3. Hausa Ibo and Yoruba? |
![]() mengho:I count you bro. |
leofab:What is nonsense. The strategy that makes IPOB agitation look like a six year old prank. Except the occasional demonstration and online trash talks what else indicates self determination. isn't this just a ploy to force FG to appoint more elites IPOB can identify with? |
ask an IPOB why are you participating in Nigerian programme such as N power or elections. The answer is we are not gone yet. Just like the 6 year old kid Calvin . (1987. Calvin and Hobbes)

Some of us will judge by statistics at the right time. but majority will judge by ethnicity and religion at any time. If you fall into this category, you ARE NOT IN ANY WAY BETTER THAN THOSE YOU BEWAIL. You only do not have the opportunity to be as bad as you are conditioned to be. |
Akkotto:Economy is a different ball game. I find approach to the economic problems objectionable. But the right to vote and be voted for is sacrosanct. If you claimed a solid edifice and this edifice collapsed as soon as a new facility manager took over then what you built was a cham No matter how bad Trump turns out to be certain fundamentals will remain strong. harvard will not become Abraka! Economy without 5000 megawatts of electricity in 6 long years is a folly. economy without functioning refinery in six years is a whitewash. If after 3.5 years PMB cannot improve on the poor economic statistics he met ( all things being equal) then his administration is also no good for Nigeria. |
Everyday we read thread of wailing on zombies. when they asked them why are PMB/PYO voters zombies. Their answer is:These voters rejected a cabal that had been in place since 1999. or 1979 if you will. The wailers admit that they have been loyal to the cabal for sixteen years. They rejected Ojukwu/Biafra/ APGA warlord and voted Obj of the cabal who symbolised the defeat of Biafra. Their government (;from ward level to national level) is dominated by a party that was formed and dominated by the cabal they hate. How can a set of confused wailers be so pathetic that they have been psychologically stuck to a political party led by the cabal they hate and yet those that consistently opposed the cabal for over 50 years are regarded as the zombies. only a zombie can be conditioned to behave like these wailers. Ekiti, Lagos, Oyo and Osun produced ministers of State under GEJ. No SGF No place in No 1 to 6 of the Executive/Legislature. Yet when this people formed alliance to address inequity some people wanted them to remain benchwarmers in GEJ government in which they (wailers) occupied preeminent positions. For what it is worth, we have learnt two things: 1 a hopelessly corrupt government can be replaced by the people 2. The victors will have to put up with those who are "zombiacally" conditioned to BEWAIL the loss of power. |
How come Eastern governors are not Wailing like Fayose and IPOB youths? Is there courage in constant wailing.? |
Toketimt:It is a shame you couldn't recognise a sarcasm! Who gives a damn whither PDP meets its Waterloo. |
Toketimt:It is a shame you couldn't recognise a sarcasm! Who gives a damn whither PDP meets its Waterloo. |
What goes around comes around. There has never been rigging in this country since 1960 until APC came. In GEJ time Amaechi was given free hand and the right of a governor to operate. but now what will the Saint Gov. Wike do? |
GoggleB:People are dying you guys are talking about Karma for the living? Karma for leaders whose privileges remain "mouth-wartering" no matter the bloodletting. why? because your hero lost election on the allegations of being incompetent in the face of terrorism. Now I am also glad people who could gloat over bloodletting whether for karma or no karma were painfully rejected at the polls 8n 2015. pls if you have evidence that money meant for the protection of the casualties of your glory in karma bring it forward. We Nigerians we also do to the criminals what we did to your heroes. shioor! |
ReddLabel:Intelligent contribution in the face of a sobering incident. Contribution like this from women while many men are just being ridiculous makes me believe Hillary deserves coronation and Trump deserves condemnation. cheers |
tinkinjow:assuming your conspiracy theory is true, it does not make the C in C less culpable in a sane society. A governor and a principal waging war against a sovereign nation and the C in C with his generals could do nothing and became even dumb on the subject until they were booted out of office. To think that this same c in c knew how to mobilize soldiers for elections. If you were GEJ and you knew that this conspiracy was true, would you just be acting confused in the name of finding the girls or would you declare a state of emergency and arrest all culprits. At any rate, anyone who believed it was true and behaved like GEJ govt does not deserve to be the C in C, under the International Humanitqrian Law Principle of Responsibility to Protect. GEJ failed that cardinal principle and we gave our verdict in2015 elections. come 2019 we will also e guided by that principle. for now let the wailing zombies continue because zombies are never meant to reason and review their allegiance based on their experience. Change agents will always review and change things until a more desirable system is achieved. |
www.nairaland.com/3315099/michelle-obama-bbog-frustrated-chibok All along, Wailers claimed it was a scam. an authoritative account of their abduction was given by Hajia Wakil including the role Jonathan govt played in attempting to rescue them. Question for Wailers: 1. How come GEJ govt never explored the opportunities provided by Hajia Wakil before the Chibok saga? 2. Does anyone in his right sense believe the country will shut up if 250 girls are missing and no one seems to acknowledge what happened? 3. What stopped GEJ govt from engaging the leaders of BBOG in a close door meeting telling them just a little bit of what the could explore. they could even sell a kite to them about their options. It appears the protocol of communication today under PMB also leaves room for anxiety. Many wars have been won and lost on communication. We find the current silent situation under PMB objectionable. but we find the previous outright denial and profiteering under GEJ condemnable. |
