LAFOCUZY:I share your view. but Nigeria is already a one party state - to all intents and purposes PDP has failed refused and neglected to play gallant opposition. Can you compare the APC opposition style to PDP. PDP wants a piece of the action in this govt. that is why you see manipulations in Parliament. nobody plays opposition by merely mocking govt and lamenting policies. If you look at the body language of elected PDP officials except Fayose, they would rather strike a bargain for some govt slacks! |
www.royaldutchshellplc.com/2015/05/25/fuel-crisis-worsens-nigerias-power-problems/ Some are wailing about buying fuel at 400 per litre. but they have forgotten how Nigerians bought fuel @ over 600 per litre. Buying fuel @ 400 just six months after 16 years of PDP misrule with 6 years of GEJ. It shows GEJ and PDP built house of cards for 16 years such that without corruption and deceit you cannot keep the house together. But we are prepared to do away with that system and pay the price for daring to make progress against all wailing odds. |
From the wailing team to the winning team. PMB till 2023 |
Ikengawo:In our own school we were taught that Protest does not have to be in the street. one page petition is enough to convey your protest. As a matter of fact what you are doing now is a protest. comprehendo? |
www.punchng.com/seast-traders-disown-biafra-nnamdi-kanu/ Signs that innocent people in the South East are desirous of Unity, Peace and Progress under PMB emerged today as almagamated traders in south east kick against IPOB and MASSOB. According to the group, the protest is killing business and causing wanton destruction of property. They wan Nigerians to know that they were being forced to close down their business despite the propaganda of voluntary participation being spread. The ipob has no headquarters, no acceptable igbo language, no basic code of conduct or default authority structure, no consensus boundary, no assets to back currency, no specific pattern of disengagement or rules of engagement except random antagonism to PMB govt. |
PDP has been in coma in Kogi. by this notice, it is now clinically dead. Cause of death: there are only 25,000 PVC holders in the affected area. even if all 25,000 vote for PDP it will not affect the victory of APC which is 41,000 votes strong! |
BlackPeni5:You have no idea the murder and fraud allegation on Fayose when PDP presented. Omisore was in prison on the allegation of murdering Bola Ige when PDP presented him and he won from prison! From this you will know that allegation of fraud is a lot better. |
TonyeBarcanista:Brilliant! Need for Justice more than Need for Change drove us to PMB after several attempts. although Justice is an element of Change. It is not that PMB will ever be able to right all the wrongs but their will be a significant increase in administration of justice one way or the other. As you move progressively "left" of reactionary "right" you may ponder over three questions: 1. Are there saints in politics? You may wish to refer to the acrimony in advance democracies to come to a fair conclusion 2. why are some leaders unwilling to embrace far reaching change for the benefit of the masses in lieu of ground standing? 3. Why are some followers always intent on stampeding those who oppose their view even when the position they hold is clearly detrimental to the majority? You may wish to refer to Dasuki's supporters whose preoccupation is to seize power or have access to power through separatist blackmail. In the absence of peculiar, clear and present danger, separatist movements are anarchists and often resort to terrorism like ISIS and Book Haram. |
The last statement from the Command clearly stated that the troops were back at the base after the set back. For the purpose of your propaganda, you would rather spread the rumor of death and disappearance. This is a folly for you because soldiers missing and disappearing in front line is a mark of heroism. it is a salutary departure from the era of missing civilians and mutiny! |
LastSurvivor:"Only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing." Edmund Burke. Since you are observing this much...it doesn't suggest it is all work and no play for you. We have different value system. You don't know what I volunteer to do and what is my consideration for anything I do. At any rate, it is our job to correct gross misinformation in cyberspace. see, the response from presidency which appeared on this forum after our earlier exchange. dispelling falsehood is worthwhile |
MabraO:He spells liar as "lier" and lying as "lieing" in response to my post. I am sure he had more hope of career advancement under GEJ, hence this prejudicial post. |
eph12:Children of perdition must always be reminded of their pedigree! yes we have our fault. but we shall not take baseless mockery as criticism. It is music to your political leaders but total wickedness to those who trust you to speak for them on the account of your privilege to be here. We want to see alternative programmes of action and fact based criticism not sensational headlines concocted on mischievous conjectures. The story in punch was pure speculation of what it WOULD cost NOT ACTUAL COST. How can Nigeria ever have hope of checks and balances if their choices are between "morally spent" ever wailing PDP on the one hand and "politically embattled" APC on the other hand? So keep wailing! it is just sad that we are stuck with an ideologically inept opposition. |
Mboi:To see GEJites bewail their corrupt past is enough. As for you who consciously support GEJ and PDP in the last six years, you can neither be described as gullible nor as illiterate that will be a good defence against humanitarian atrocities committed on the account of your cold blooded support. If GEJ needed 8 days to confirm the abduction of over 200 girls in one location under emergency rule it is purely satanic, wicked and criminal for anyone to deny me my right to replace him in 8 seconds conspiracy or no conspiracy. The standard of duty he owes to gather and act PROMPTLY and DECISIVELY on security intelligence in SUCH HUMANITARIAN circumstances is higher than any other presidential duty he owes. I am happy I did not validate the hmanitarian failure of GEJ even if my action coincided with other trivial motives on the part of any person or group of persons, I am happy still because without such coincidence my punitive action would have no effect. so wail, brother, wail and agonize over your political misery. I HAVE DONE MY DUTY to replace GEJ and his Team. |
LastSurvivor:Prejudice cannot be dignified with prose. When a child refuses to understand his punishment cries, you simply tell him as it is. Cry all you like, I have done my duty to you! We have a duty to replace 16 years of PDP misrule that ultimately bred poverty, crime, corruption and terrorism. There were more justifications for takeover in 2015 than we had for the military who seized power in 70s, 80s, and 90s combined. It is not because the replacement is perfect or excellent in terms of quantitative, partisan comparison, but because the voters MUST NOT OVERLOOK IMPUNITY in the context of CONTEMPORARY EXPERIENCE. If you are not educated enough to know that voters, at some point, will vote based on their individual and collective experiences, then expect you to always demostrate the current level of your ignorance with your utterance. |
Wail as you please, GEJ is gone. PMB is our choice and we are prepared to live with it. With each progress we make, we expect you to wail. with each error we make, we expect you to wail. so we are not bothered by your wailing. It is the rythm of democracy! keep wailing. |
maupe:"complete utter rubbish" since this is the starting point of your education, you should accept it as a valid counterpoint! any drug you take to cure malaria and you still have head ache fever is nothing but snake oil. same thing with economy. any policy that leaves you with high unemployment ratio is total sham. www.informationng.com/2014/06/80-of-nigerian-youths-are-unemployed-cbn-official.html According to CBN 80% of Nigerian youths were unemployed in 2014. between 2004 and 2015 NOI was the finance minister for at least 10 years. even if she brought wall street and Breton woods to Nigeria, once the symptoms of economic woes are still there, it is, in your words, utter rubbish! |
Anyone who is still romancing the carcass of GEJ/NOI economic framework should read the inscription on the tombstone of Global Recession, 2008. it was memorably etched by Prof Paul Krugman Nobel Prize Winner in Economics. "WHY DID ECONOMISTS GET IT SO WRONG? MISTAKING BEAUTY FOR TRUTH " www.mobile.nytimes.com/2009/09/06/magazine/06Economic-t.html?referer= For "it is too long crowd" Krugman used the recession to demonstrate the colossal failure of economists over reliance on the theories of: perfect market and perfect bureaucrats. He advocated Keynesian model of strategic stimulus by public institutions. Having said that here advantages of Mrs Kemi Adeosun. 1. She is not fettered to the ball and chain of NOI failed school of thoughts: perfect market. 2. She will be a team player not a "can-do-no-wrong" coordinator of the economy. 3. She won't be obligated to feed corrupt cronies 4. budget is zero based. as against unjustifiable " recurrent' nay "recurring " expenditure. 5. There is no illusion of "awoof" oil money. hence no white elephant projects. no confab delegates collecting 12 million naira for sitting or sleeping. 6. Global goodwill for public accountability. this does not mean bond chasers will not run away. but the real sector will witness greater FDI. NOI cannot and could not make impactful and sustainable progress because her economy philosophy has proved to be abysmally fallacious. Of course we do not expect anything but praise from the maggots of economic decay under NOI |
Comrade Joe gives no quarter, keeps no prisoners of war and leaves burning bridges in his trail. Adieu PDP! |
Even though President Buhari shared the service Chiefs equally between north and south (with south taking the towering Chief of Defence Staff, big boss) he has also shocked tribalists in PDP by empowering southerners with all the economy related posts. the only one that was left for the north was snatched by middle-belt. The list is as follows: 1. Finance, Adeosun 2.Budget and Planning, Udoma 3.Trade and investment, Enelemah 4.Petroleum, Kachukwu 5a. Power, Fashola b. Works, Fashola ci. Housing, Fashola Cii Land, Fashola ciii. Urban Development, Fashola 6. Transport, Amaechi 7. Labour and Employment, Ngige 8.Science, Onu 9, Communication, Shitu 10, Niger Delta, USA I 11. Solid Minerals, Fayemi. After all these, Benue snatched Agriculture! Notwithstanding the dire economic need of the north, PMB has put the faith of the whole nation in the hand of southerners. What is more, Police IG who is in charge of day to day security of lives and property is a Southerner. The above shows the uncommon faith of PMB in the Nigerian Project. No amount of partisan criticism can detract from the single minded faith of PMB. God bless our Country and her CHANGE GOVERNMENT. |
themilanway:easy. easy.easy. he is our brother. make we no ovaflog the mata. |
chukwudi44:LOL. quite true. but avoid using "handed" when you intend to convey forceful or violent delivery of a "thing". e.g a blow. it offends "the rule of concord". "handed ...on" is also a queer expression because of the intention. that is why you see "handed...to" The mood also...OK. Truth is: we hardly care about grammar if the sentence is not egregiously offensive. Immediately you judge grammar, you are liable to being judged. Alas, we all make mistakes in varying degrees. |
The writer failed to consider the implications of S 65 CFRN that makes sponsorship of candidate by a political party ad a condition for qualification. How a party sponsors a candidate is spelt out in the electoral act s.78. PDP failed to comply hence candidate not qualified as per the supreme law |
TonyeBarcanista:I am a southerner like you. just look at ICPC that has been south of Niger and judge. Truth is easier to find mai-gaskiya up north than down south. You can never see a protest on behalf of northerner accused of corruption. This is not to say we don't have crooks everywhere but for now northerners approach every task with ruthless audacity when they want. |
speedyGonzales:Interesting. Pls read Ogoni people bill of rights. www.waado.org/nigerdelta/RightsDeclaration/Ogoni.html. They affirmed unity of Nigeria based on the conditions that will enable them to become the best in themselves. I sincerely implore you to read that and contrast with IPOB struggle as we know it today. If IPOB is about struggle against glarring infrastructural-neglect hence separation, Igbos will have sympathy from millions of non-igbos. Just like Niger Delta. but to start agitation in the wake of power transfer is a mockery of social struggles all over the world. Ojukwu got sympathy because of the humanitarian crisis in the east of 1967. CONFAB was too little to late. I support fiscal federalism up to local govt level where you find minorities. Pls read American Declaration of Independence. From this, we must ask ourselves whether we have no obligation to sustain regional peace notwithstanding our ethnic right to self determination. |
speedyGonzales:Unity amongst Christians. Good job. Just as GEJ govt could not appoint the other 246 nationalities including Yorubas to top 10 posts in Govt so also is impracticable to have all ethnic groups in PMB govt. Even though people cry of marginalization based on ethnicity but those who cry the most selfishly ignore the cries of other minorities who cannot even boast of a governor or a senator from their ethnic group. Oh I forgot...Might is Right! |
It is trite law that a court of law is not a father Xmas. you must succeed on the strength of your pleadings and not on the weakness of your opponent. In ogun for instance, PDP sought to nullify the victory of APC by contending that the election was marred by irregularities in about 200 wards. at trial, PDP could only tender evidence for less than 20 wards. Again PDP prayed to be declared winner in an election it gave evidence for not being credible. can legality come out of illegality? In Rivers and Akwa ibom, it was a pathetic case of forensic ignorance. PDP told its witnesses to feign ignorance of contents of documents presented to the witnesses. meaning: educated people failed to read documents presented. Thereby undermining there own opportunity to challenge evidence presented against it Benue is a sorry case of a misplaced sense of legal standing and lack of evidence. he who asserts must prove. in Benue PDP claimed that Ortom was a member of PDP at the material time. But it gave no evidence in court. meanwhile Ortom tendered letter of resignation from PDP. In Taraba PDP tendered no evidence to show why it failed to comply with electoral act in conducting primaries. For PDP to justify its claim against the judiciary and the presidency, it must come to the public and show the evidence it presented and balance it against the evidence APC presented. Why? NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE FEELS, CASES ARE DECIDED BASED ON EVIDENCE ADMITTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH EVIDENCE ACT. |
www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/biafra-pdp-cautions-buhari-apc/ The gist of the PDP argument is they are in agreement with IPOB on perceived marginalisation in PMB govt which is just 6 months old. Although PDP did not name the leaders to be invited for dialogue but all indications suggest the leaders are those from PDP who are drawing fat salaries from Federal purse. that is legislators. Observers are unanimous in the view that South East may be the ultimate loser should IPOB turn it to a theater of war. Already, South Southerners have distanced themselves from all forms of agitations that may undermine the peace and progress of Nigeria. |
speedyGonzales:Pls pardon my omission that you are not the subject of my post. I only picked your post as a specimen of opinions. I intend to give you credit for the opinion so as to avoid a charge of plagiarism. ICC places value on opinions with or without persons attached. This is my objective. once again accept my apology for not issuing a caveat. |
speedyGonzales:I am quite impressed by your linear understanding of armed conflict: Life-death. But War scenarios as I have studied under International Humanitarian Law (governed by Geneva Conventions) are not usually linear. more often than not, they are haphazard - engendering diverse scenarios of misery. Indeed some who are alive often wished they were six feet deep. Your curiousity struck me as someone who should be familiar with the name Chemical Ali. Sadam Hussein's loyalist. His victims begged for death not life. This is understandable because victims of Ali's violence are usually left 'one-eyed, one legged and with sufficient thorns that could guarantee production for pus, pain and maggots for the remainder of the victims miserable life. Not particularly a bad spectacle for 'photofreaks' we must admit. But no one has heard of a freak who wants to be the one so captured in the throes of hellish horror. In the age of sodomy. men in war have also been known to be tortured, raped, maimed and killed. Not necessarily in that order. For further reading on this particular war crime, you can look at VVF or other forms of fistulae resulting from sodomy et al. Another truth about war is that it does not have a fixed timetable. it may happen during a celebration in which relatives are trapped at ground zero. It could be perticularly disturbing to see birthday of a 10 year old crashed by enemy soldiers or thugs and young girls and boys subjected grimmest atrocities of war: torture and rape. not many teenagers or young adults may see this as particularly sickening but since there are no time tables for war, the reactions of this people may be guaged should their own bloods (kids) face atrocities of a sudden outbreak of war. For curiousity purposes and as a mark of true, detached bravery, war tourists may just visit Sudan or Syria or Sambisa. If they came back from the frontiers alive, we will take their views as a serious commitment to "war tourism". If not we will just see their yearnings as indeces of sociopathic ignorance. |
DaBullIT:so far ignorance remains profitable for manipulators, the eyes of these guys no go clear. even the civil war, as tragic as was, thousands of communities were still celebrating xmas, and sallah. so our prayers are with the innocent people out there. |
I guess the title says it all. Wounds are painfully treated on the body of the patients. Many parts of the country are making money ahead of Christmas why IPOB are denying there own people daily bread. An curious way to wage war against your perceived enemy. Who are now the victims and the pawns? may history not repeat itself. God bless all tribes of Nigeria without exception! God bless the President. |
