IamMrNoble:Just a man who is happier that some want to know him and he is not bothered about knowing them in return. |
ayatt:Queen of Nigerian Change. May God grant her patriotic prayers |
banki:As long as they GEJites are the reason for the suffering, it was fantastic! I mean what else do you want an armed robber to say of his victims? but armed robbers have the decency of masking their crime. but these ones, they want us to celebrate it! I mean to celebrate the 19 unemployed graduates who paid for Job interview under GEJ and got dispatched six feet deep. Yea the minister served out his term and some became multi millionaires. People with these type of conscience or lack of conscience cannot see any thing wrong in blood money. our is just to tell them #WeHaveDecided. Bye bye to rede rede! |
spinoff:What is even baffling is the gush of loyalty, sympathy and gratitude that some feel we owe a man Who WOEFULLY Failed to build anything that lasts more than 30 days! If he was so good why were they complaining of hardship within 30 days of his departure? I mean PDP and GEJ were in govt for 16 uninterrupted years. Isn't it must moronic and pathetically fallacious to say something was solid and yet couldn't stand 7 days of accountability test. what kind of education is responsible for this fawning prostration. I recall in literature, it is possible to attribute life to inanimate objects: Pathetic FAllacy! |
See how this GEJite exposed GEJ house of cards porka:How long does it take for a corrupt economy to collapse. According to the above GEJite, PDP and Jonathan six years were so good that within 30days of leaving office, the economy collapsed. The question is: is there any economy in the world that literally collapsed within six months of Democratic transition? How long does it take for a company to wind up in the face of austerity? When you mould your house with spittle beware of morning dew! GEJ govt built everything on corruption and everything so built collapsed at the instance of accountability. what the heck! economy was built on false presumption of perpetual sale of crude @ 100 dollar per barrel, 80% consumption of revenue and shady award of contracts to disburse the remaining 20%. What do you expect if PMB rightly refuses to honour such anti-masses malappropriaton? Now we know the trains are jokes, airports stink, workers unpaid, SURE-P a mirrage, etc. What is the single socioeconomic legacy of PDP 16 years in govt with direct impact on at least 20% of 34 million unemployed citizens (NBS figures) None! Can anyone remind us why Ben Bruce wanted to make Common Sense again?! Calamities of the past he now salutes. psssh! master of contradiction! |
interesting times! |
TonyeBarcanista:Quite challenging and preeminently imposing, we must add. But PDP wants a piece of the action in govt. hence deputy president of the Senate. For that, they are part of the strength and weakness of Senate leadership. As for branding, PDP already has "understanding" with AIT "stakeholders". you may have some chance of success with the latter being managed by young faithfuls. But as I said, PDP NWC now depends on the conflicting whims and caprice of its state franchises. So the only thing that can come out of branding is funding. Thankfully we have a president now who listens to his own good conscience and social justice. That counts for checks and balances in the absence of a worthy opposition |
TonyeBarcanista:Should the APC ever fail to the point where PDP as constituted will become desirable, then democracy is not our calling. Ask yourself what is PDP doing at this moment to earn the respect of independents? Literally wailing and railing. Any policy alternative? NO! any internal audit and implementation ? No! You said you were in Abuja. Pls go to Wadata House. ask them about PDI. It is the party's institute. ask them about them. Who or what, AS OF CERTAINTY, governs their decision making process? the institute that should ground the party in strategy and research has no more life than the inanimate building in which it is housed. As for certainty, since the days of GEJ. PDP had become a franchise in each state under each of the governors. These govs place their interests above that of the party. by party, I do not mean NWC or NEC but the party Constitution. I have read your posts and I am willing to give you credit for being far more intelligent than your assertion. If you imagined that PDP hawks will respect your ideas just wait until it is time to fund it. You will be shocked to discover that the fund sharing is more important to the hawks than what you think you can achieve with PDP. Will PDP change. NO, IT CANNOT. Do I like it that way? No! Unfortunately, that is the reality of the PDP "laissez faire!" |
FREEDOM4BIAFRA:Except GEJ regime. name one time when SE fought for SS agenda? Even the creation of SS states was resisted by the East. Niger Delta is an environmental shipwreck yet it was more convenient to bewail their political set backs. name one thing that affected the masses of both SS and South East that the East elites championed from the beginning to the end. Truth is Nigerian grassroots from SS,SE,North, SW have more in common in terms of austerity than their respective leaders. Orji Kalu's daughter is more likely to fall in love with Dangote Adenuga's son than she will ever chat with a struggling apprentice in Aba. This not a fault of aristocracy or a sin of greed but the shocking gulf of separation between the rich and the poor in Nigeria. Imagine if PMB calls a banquet today to unite the Nigerian elites, you will see the end of all sectional agitations at elite level. Just as GEJ symbolized fresh air in 2011 so also does PMB symbolizes Change in 2015 at least to majority of Nigerian voters. Change is a collective responsibility that some of us have signed up for. It is not exactly as the Party sees it but what we Nigerians make of it. GEJ erred when his aides stonewalled others while corruption escalated. You don't have to accept this as a fact because your choice just like mine is a single opinion that cannot derail the widespread belief in Change. Bottom line:- Your cross is yours alone to carry, only peaceful and progressive Nigeria can make your journey easier. Not individuals or ethnic affinity. |
Change! |
FreeGlobe:Brilliant Counter Attack! Now the future of PDP is guaranteed. |
In legal parlance a matter is said to be determined when judgment is passed. it is not when the court assumes jurisdiction. Until the final appeal, Wike will remain in office. That is the law in line with etymology of the word "determined". For me, am in favour of instant effect of tribunal judgment, however, my view is personal not what the law says under Sec143 of the Electoral Act. |
deramarks:Yes, you can. Just look at Hillary Clinton. literally making shameless men looking like intellectual rogues. just luft your mortal self from the dust whereof you were made and be happy to run your race as a racer without fear of man but of God. |
Good news for all Billary fans. since 2008, I have kept Hillary on my Bookmark. I admired her more than Uncle Barry. Her love for her Bill during his trials was textbook example of forbearance in marriage. Today she is soaring in spite of the kitchen sinks thrown at her. What an Amazon! Good ol'Joe should now retire with dignity, and write in loving memory of his heroic son. |
Fayose their hero! |
jpphilips:About 5 SANs and 5 eagle lawyers will be members of FEC in the days ahead. Ain't gonna be easy to redefine stealing again! |
jpphilips: |
modath:it was a preemptive strike! They saw nothing, I believe. even the FHC judge cited media as his reason for withdrawal. everyone's career is on the line! |
NgeneUkwenu:Lol. Ilorin Native Authority or Privy Council may want to intervene. |
The refusal of the Court of Appeal to grant the reliefs sought by Sen Saraki has left the embattled Sen. president in a legal quagmire. Sen Saraki is praying the Court of Appeal to nullify the criminal proceedings against him at CCT. According to his legal team, CCT lacks jurisdiction to try him based on lack of quorum, absence of AGF and failure of CCB to fulfill certain conditions precedent to trial at CCT. CCT ruled that it has jurisdiction and it slated 21,22,23 of Oct for Sen Saraki's criminal trial. with the development at the Court of Appeal, and the earlier set back at FHC, the CCT has no legal impediment to proceed against Sen Saraki. Perhaps the most shocking implication of the decision or lack of decision from the Court of Appeal is that Sen Saraki has nothing to take to Supreme Court. The road to appeal at the apex court is closed for now. Sen Saraki may have to exhaust the rigorous and humbling trial process at the court of first instance, the CCT. On his part, the President has assured Nigerians that politicians should not fear him but they should fear the CONSEQUENCE of their own actions. |
aresa:Statistical grand slam! |
The drum that beats like a bomb must be enjoyed with caution. |
modath:I beg no invite Wailers. this is beyond wailing. |
sammyj:There is a reason for PMB's respect for the person of GEJ. You would do the same if you had just one encounter with him. He would make you feel like the president. Nevertheless, we are glad to be relieved of his yoke. |
thexzy:sure. it is just irritating when some people choose to insult our collective intelligence. |
sammyj:As much as I detested GEJ administration, GEJ as person will receive my votes 100 times before 95% of his ministers and 100% of his aides. Damn. GEJ is luckier to be rid of them than we are glad to be relieved of his administration! |
Chief Edwin Clark chided GEJ for lacking political will to fight corruption. Dr. Reuben Abati is defending GEJ and condemning Chief E.K Clark. the attempt to silence Chief Clark in the moment of his Epiphany is like holding down a person obeying an altar call. Nigeria needs to move forward for all have sinned. The likes of Dr Abati ruined GEJ administration by describing a basket as a safe container for Nigeria's milk and honey. mean while all of them held cups to collect the inevitable flow from the basket. I could recall a passage in Bill Clinton's book, My Life. Clinton cited another president with approval to the effect that: Destiny sometimes places men in offices which are somewhat too complex for their natural endowments. It is therefore the duty of close associates to shield them from the errors they are wont to commit. Dr. Abati had what it takes to stimulate unassailable legacy for the GEJ Presidency. He could have done this by teaming up with Chief Clark to steer certain public policies and prevent acts of impunity. for instance, how did we ever get to a point where refineries were not working and NNPC was not remitting funds for several months as disclosed by Sen Akpabio. Meanwhile, we were selling oil at peak prices. We heard of a certain monarch who disguised as a woman in order to seek alliance in another kingdom and save his crown. What was Abati's effort except calling Obj ministers 'men of yesterday'? is he now a man of today. The first sign of progress is for you to admit the errors you committed. But if Abatis of this world are still insisting on conspiracy theories and victimization as the reason for their loss then Barr. Lai Mohammed is right: PDP needs more than four years to be in opposition. two straight losses will jolt them from decadent inertia. Alas those who saw GEJ reelection campaign as an opportunity for mindless enrichment will never admit that their greed grounded the man they purported to love. psssh! |
British Ministers are career politicians. so it is in every parliamentary system. this never detracts from the ability to carry out reforms. Hillary Clinton, Obama, kerry, et al are all politicians and these never undermined their ability to carry out reforms. it is thus uncharitable to suggest that African politicians are incapable of carrying out reforms. In the colonial era, Chief Awolowo as a politician surpassed the European technocracts sent to Nigeria in terms of ingenuity. In fact they despised Awo for referring to them as mediocre technocrats. |
MizMyColi:I do not see how this kindergarten primer helps the constitutional infraction committed by PDP. The constitution says people. simple. the constitution also says sovereignty belongs to the people. simple. native Americans are diverse cultural groups across diverse territories. just like African Peoples' Charter. so they are peoples and properly so called. The question is if our laws see us as one group of people and PDP ignores that constitutional standard should we accept it? To show that it is ignorance: why then is the apostrophe missing so as to show possive case? |
MizMyColi:Grammatically, "ministerail" passes as a spelling mistake or typographical error. why? the degree of misspelling is 1/10. "a" and "I" changed places at adjacent positions. As for "Peoples Democracy Party" the error lies in grammar and ignorance. why? it is wrong to use a noun "democracy" to qualify another noun party. it is not an oversight that cannot be seen upon a glance at the heading. but you cannot correct what you do not know or appreciate as a horrible self-affliction. "Peoples" ?!!!! The preamble to the Constitution says "We the People of Nigeria..." No where in the constitution do we have People in a plural case when you talk of a single country or Federation. So it is sheer ignorance for PDP to say "Peoples." Their intention actually is to use "people" in a possessive case. thus it should be "People's"Again, it seems fitting and poetic that a party which sees Nigeria as "Peoples" should wear the emblem of divisiveness and "disunity" and live with the consequence until they purge themselves. Take Note. Nigeria needs a vibrant opposition party more than it needs a ruling party. Govt has been formed so the watchdog must be the true champion of the people. Alas. PDP still think opposition is by "ELITIST REALIGNMENT ALONE"! |
sonOfLucifer:Thanks for the gratitude. By your admission that we "attempt to define", charitable faithfuls, thus, deserve the next logical thing from you which is "benefit of the doubt" or "assumption without concession". In other words you must display your own inherent goodness by at least doubting and not dismissing the faith of others." For instance the Bible does not say we shall know people by their gods. it says by their fruits you shall know them. These fruits are: Love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness. These are stated in Gal 5:2. Who am I to judge or condemn what you believe in or do not believe in if humanity is blessed by your fruits stated above. I implore you to note that the Bible esteem you as a god in your own right. the manifestation of your godliness is your choice.see PS 86:2. Unmasking lies is an act of those kindness to those who might, otherwise, perish on the account of the lies they believed in. Nevertheless, those who truly care that others should not perish are caring enough to ensure salvation. You can, otherwise, counsel a man to jump down from his skyscraper because a floor in his building is on fire. SonOfLucifer should at least cast himself in the light of temperance and not rebellion and social caprice. What kind of god or crusader would you be? Since there is no goodness shall we then foster evil by demonizing all things attributed to pious faith? If this is what one chooses to do, I guess the objective of such person is not to expose evil by good examples but to justify ones inherent weakness through exposing the failings of others. This, you will agree, is typical Satanism - not necessarily in a spiritual sense but in a social context. But remember those little children who mould their character after your words and deeds. pls have mercy on their destiny. |
FreeGlobe:She is having what Anglicans call an Epiphany. That nagging realization of a need to retrace one's steps to the truth. Even GEJ has done same by refusing to be dragged into the accountability problem of his lieutenants. |
