Birdbyrde440: Say 10yrs not 50 because the biafra war was fought in 1960, the 2$ , starvation and property conversion scheme.. the Igbos have progressed more rapidly than other tribes, it not by trading it by a high form of intelligence, the yoruba like structure and bureaucracy and that is the system holding us down. Let's look for how we can spark motivation instead of holding onto tradition. If formal education is not working, let's use the igbo apprenticeship system. Any hausa man still in business for atleast 20 years without govt support, check very well his business is managed in the apprenticeship system. Even dangote learnt work from dantata. You don't know what you are saying. My point is trading is different from business and investment. Igbo are not business expert they are only good at trading. Trading is left to Yoruba women while the men engage in difficult tasks like building business. Again I said Yoruba investments have spanned many decades and still standing. None of Igbo business is as old as Odua investment |
Politics › Re: The Role Of The Three Major Ethnic Groups In Nigeria In Nation Building by Ttalk: 3:14am On Dec 17, 2023*. Modified: 3:31am On Dec 17, 2023 |
Birdbyrde440: There are three major ethnic groups in Nigeria: Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.
If you have carefully analyzed the behaviour of these three you will agree with me that each one has their area of specialization in the area of Nation Building.
The Hausas, socialist in nature should hold leadership and Military positions, the Igbos are next on this list after the hausa.
The Igbo, anarcho-capitalist in nature should control the money and business of the economy because of their ability to be good managers and create something out of nothing, the hausa are next on the list here.
The Yoruba are the real Republicans of Nigeria, they should regulate the economy both business and politics, they can be fearless and unwavering if they choose to. Next on this list is the hausa.
Igbos are bad in leadership roles because at the slightest opportunity of laxity among the other two, they might try to take advantage and dominate. This character is accepted in business but not governance.
The Yoruba are bad at business and economy, do you know I have about 20 igbo traders in my area that I have known for close to 25yrs and their business are still waxing strong, I used to know about 6 hausa business men in my area only one is standing strong, the only yoruba business I knew was selling kerosene but it crashed long time ago.
When it comes to law enforcement like tax collection, efcc, nafdac, and other regulations including things like stock market, the yoruba are number 1. The igbo and hausa tend to be lax after a short time in this area.
what did I miss? Add yours. Tell one Igbo business that is up 50 years and still standing. We have an Odua group that is over 60 years old. We have so many Yoruba businesses that are being passed from generation to generation. You again miss trading for business and investment, common, commerce is different from business. Yoruba consider trading as lazy men's work, and that's why they leave it for their women and elderly people to dominate. It is an aberration for a Yoruba to start selling pepper, Okrika or fan yogo. The only trade you would see Yoruba men active in is in the butchery section and the reason is it involved sword and blood. The real business and investment goes to the Yoruba, their skill organization, human management, and emotional intelligence is top notch, these are things you go to business school and Harvard to learn, but it is naturally embedded in the culture and trait of an average Yoruba people |

Reality hits him like Harmattan cold.
Every year building are demolished in Abuja and no one cries victimisation even the Igbo in Abuja whose houses were demolished leak their wounds and move on but never cry.
Whatever is now making the Igbo cry victimisation can be traced to Tinubu who gave them opportunity in Lagos.
Whatever Tinubu gets from abusive Igbo serves him right. He should suck the insult and leak his wounds alone |

horsepower102: Based on the first and second post, anybody with half a brain knows that Igbos control the richest household in Nigeria.
The data from the south west includes Lagos which has a lot of igbos living there as middle class. . But Yoruba are not living in Lagos abi? Anyone who afflict you people with inferiority complex would not make heaven. Despite the glaring statistic that put SW ahead you still try to twist it to favour your region.
