Both sides of the argument are correct. The North wanted power back and GEJ played into their hands by his incompetence. Ask yourselves if the 2 parties had presented a Muslim northern wouldn't the election outcome be very close to call? The North was willing to collapse their PDP structure to favour their own. Unfortunately for GEJ he did more for the north to placate them.
