I think your post was typed in the ink of ignorance and/or overzealousnes. When does abbreviation become sinful?

I think you are not properly informed about the "X" sometimes used in place of "Christ."

The "X" is taken from the Greek word "Χριστός." The English word "Christ " was translated from "Χριστός."

Xtian and Xmas, for examples, are mere abbreviations, and are not in any way related to the mathematical unknown "x."


Be informed from the blue-coloured words above.
Meanwhile, in which language does the letter "X" stands for bad?
I share the sentiment of the OP. You contradicted yourself by saying that a word represents an alphabet . Even in English it is the other way round, B as in Ball, not Ball as in B. X which is an alphabet in Greek and never stands for Christ.

@OP here is my disagreement: As you will remember that Aaronic priesthood which metamorphosed into Levitical priesthood does not not allow for wine. (See Leviticus 10: 19) You need to study more why God killed the two sons of Aaron. More importantly Christ has redeemed us as Kings and Priest according to the Epistle of Peter. Except you can show me clearly from the Scripture where priests are allowed to drink wine. I completely disagree with you. Your position is to justify drinking. You and I know that in exegesis principle of Hermeneutics must fully come to play. Let us be careful of what we suggest to people

Ceejay. Here is my point: I did not say that all Pastors are saints or that all pastor are called of God. But to miss the church because of the failure of some Pastors would not be an excuse before God. What about those pastors who have been faithful to God in the ministry for several decades? More importantly, discipleship and fellowship best take place in a church setting. You need to go back Bro.

CHARLESTON, S.C., June 17 (Reuters) - A gunman opened fire on Wednesday evening at a historic African-American church in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, and was still at large, a U.S. police official said, but there were no immediate confirmed reports of casualties.

The suspect was described as a 21-year-old white man wearing a sweatshirt, jeans and boots, Charleston police said in a message on Twitter.

Charleston Police Department spokesman Charles Francis said the shooting occurred at the Emanuel AME Church around 9 p.m. local time (0100 GMT). He had no information on victims.

A bomb threat was later reported near the scene of the church shooting, Charleston County Sheriff's Office spokesman Eric Watson said. People who were gathered in the area were told by police to move back.

A police chaplain was present at the scene of the shooting, and a helicopter with a searchlight hovered overhead as officers combed through the area.

A group of several men stood in a circle in front of a hotel near the church. "We pray for the families, they've got a long road ahead of them," Reverend James Johnson, a local civil rights activist, said during the impromptu prayer service.

Police took a man with a backpack and a camera into custody, but later said they were still searching for a suspect in the shooting, television station WCIV reported.

Local broadcaster WCSC reported the FBI was on the scene. The FBI could not be reached immediately for comment.

The website for the church said it has one of the largest and oldest black congregations in the region. It was built in 1891 and is considered a historically significant building, according to the National Park Service.

The church is led by the Reverend Clementa Pinckney, who also serves in the state senate, according to the church's website.

Long distance relationship is not easy and not meant for everyone. But let's not make it look like it's impossible. After all aren't some ladies successfully married to career soldiers and diplomats who are always on the move and may not come back in one piece? There couple who see and live in the same house yet and miles distant apart because it's fight everyday. Despite living together they still cheat on each other. A cheat is a cheat and should not justify it.

1. With social media and real-time communication via FB, Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, people in long-distance relationship have learned to stay in touch and close the gap.

2. Planned vacations: Rotate visits. During his vacations he visits you, and during yours you visit him. Make good use of the time and not fighting and quarreling.

3. Finally, plan to collapse the distance. With time plan to live together. Let the separation only be temporary may while he's looking for a better accommodation, or trying to file papers for his wife. Knowing that the desperation is only temporary only helps to reduce the frustration.

Well it really depend on the level of their trust and understanding. When hubby got a job in another city, we both agreed for him to go cos of the financial advantage of it. But looking at what we're sacrificing I'll say it doesn't worth it. We communicate very well but the big gap is there at times i just wish he was there when i got back from work and no one to talk to (no kid yet). I assume the role of hubby and wifey now. We are weekends couple now sat and sundays. I'll say it's not the best to be apart from one's partner in any circumstances. What keeps us going is that we understand and trust each other.

More than once last week, I loaded N200 on my MTN and their promise that
I have the same value to use during the weekend each time, Sunday in particular
I believed them and made calls on Sunday, the first call was actually removed
from the bonus credit for the weekend, but to my dismay, they swoop on

Pardon my seeming outburst, but you just seem like you need to have a better understanding of the faith you are in.
Always look out for the inner-meaning, the inner-purpose, the working of the Spirit of God regardless of medium... not the outer or apparent, otherwise that is the beginning of being an easily deceived elect in these end-times.

When Muslim wakes you up with their sound from their loudspeakers at 5am,
no peace was disturbed?  Nigerians are tolerant which is a good virtue.

When we flew to Turkey. Right inside the Plane we sang praises to our God
who took us there safely. Mind you, Turkey is more Islamic.

No one can force you to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ but it is safer for you
to listen to whatever speech that is been made. You could gain something even
from the person you considered to be a Dumb Fool.

Lest I forget, your salvation is dependent on the gospel. So I advise
you not only to listen with rapt attention but to respond to the call of God.

I preach often in buses. I am grateful to God who had saved someone when
I preached even in the Bus. May be God will use me to save you whenever
we enter the same bus, I am looking ahead to see you saved.
