I will reckon you call them on the phone.... and tell them you want to know the status of your application. I know they will email you today or tomorrow. You can wait or call them as i did..

I called on friday and they told me decision made on friday which i know na lie... decision has been made since. Anyways, call them and be ready to spend about 3000 naira worth in pounds.. if u go straight to the point, cos they tend to prolong conversation at times..

Good luck.

if you intend to sponsor, then she just need to get document that shows strong ties with Nigeria e.g properties, work documents , assets, shares documents, landed properties, family, marriage..

My personal opinion, will be she should sponsor herself.... but you should support with accommodation... since she has funds in her account...
She can also include the wedding ceremony documents... like invitation cards... etc..

anikkyshaya:

HOPE and PRAY!!!! #direction

austinosita:
I really love to stay in Lagos, Nigeria working, but getting a job even with my experience and good grade(2.1) is almost impossible.

I have searched and searched and searched, attended interviews, but all to no avail. The worse was the interview I attended today, this morning @lekki-epe express way; I was discharged after about 2 to 3 questions only(about 3 mins).....meanwhile, the first applicant spent almost 30 mins. I just looked at the lady like.....is it my face? Is my 2.1 not enough? Didnt i answer your questions correctly? Infact i almost swore never to attend any interview again.....e beta make i kukuma explore my music talent....

I really love to base in Lagos. Get a good job, marry and have kids. I'm almost losing hope in my job search! Infact I no think say anybody for nairaland search reach me!!!

Now, I have another option to stay in America illegally, until I secure complete papers for stay(which will take time) I'll be staying with a family member, going to school and working.......general hustling till I get a green card.

Please, what do you guys suggest?

#I taya for this joblessness no be small# its killing

well here is what he asked to buy a pounds here is #490 to £1, can i just buy £350 so that i can hold it, when they ask me at POE so that i can show them and when i get to UK i can now use my Master Card to withdraw from ATM. i hope this will not affect my when they ask me how much do i hold? at POE..

Yes that is why i said he should use is ATM..... Naija Debit Card can be used to withdraw pounds... cos at point of entry in uk they do not ask the question... One only need to declare when carryng over 10k$

just giving him some jara to guide him..capisce!!!wink

fizzile:
Bro, thats not what he is talking about. I think he means some money he could use immediately he gets to UK. Probably to pay maybe a taxi or to buy somethings urgently...not necessarily to give out to "Ball boys".

Bruv... you are in 2016 , you do not need to hold cash....
I will tell you a funny scene that happened to me ...

After checking in my luggage's, went thru immigration which took forever and my blood dey hot... as i was dressing up back since we were asked to take off belt and co... i noticed some officers stopping ppl in front asking some questions...

SO walking down to my gate ... so they stopped me ... there were 3 stands, one spoke to me in a very nice way and i decided to give them something as they were polite... as i was leaving the third stand called me , i dont know who they were or whatsoever...

First thing he asked me is How much are u carrying , I said nothing, he was trying to talk too much i just told him one sentence... excuse me i am not required to carry cash and i showed him my ATMS (Barclays, GTB, ACCESS bank) and i told him i do not need to carry cash since my ATM are perfectly working ... so they changed there tone and say sir please find something for us and i said sorry i have no money and i left...

One thing i notice here is if they see you are first timer and they notice you do not know what u r saying they will take advantage of you so please speak like u know what u r saying... do not let them take advantage of you ... It is only in Nigeria airport you will be asked all this stupid questions...

Also be careful with this BALL boys( that is what i call them) they check your passport before you check-in your luggage.. this ones are just idiots excuse my french.... they act like they know something...most times i just give them my passport and ignore them and let them fool themselves... One time, i was traveling to South Africa and the guy said my visa was fake BLAH BLAH.... i said dude dont waste my time... to cut the long story short... he said most nigerians do not know how to defend their self ... and he was asking me for money ... I just ignored him... aside this two , you are fine...

You are going to face another experience so bruv... enjoy it.

lekansola:

They have the right to keep any document.... so any document they do not return you should know they kept it for record purposes... that is why it is important to always have records, copies of every document submitted.

Please ... dont tell them at port of entry u r going to your AUNTY OOO because i do know now at UK boarder they see everything you submitted at homeoffice... during your visa application
so if they ask u even at port of entry u go confirm everything u submitted on form.... so still leave your hotel things...abeg

Most hotel do not charge you until u r there ... then when u r in then u can cancel...online...

NOTE; if hotel has charged you , then when u r in call the hotel and let them know there is a little problem with your plan (extenuating circumstances) ; they might not pay u full money back but at least you will get some ...

Stay positive....
They do make mistakes that i can certainly tell u ...
They will send an official to CAC if need be.... but if i have to be honest they will not because it is getting to a busy period for them... most times they compare documents, or check the websites and if need they call if they have to.... Only send officials if the application is complicated... I just hope one day nigeria will get to the point where documents can be verified online or numbers can be verified online; it will make the document geninue. I recently tried checking something on NAFDAC website and it failed to verify the product; so it is naija for u ...
anyways, God in is infinite mercy will grant your heart desires... stay positive and have faith...

phardey:
Thanks.
She wrote a detailed to them explaining and told them they errored her application. and she mentioned she never mis represented herself.

I hope they send their Official to CAC to confirm. and I hope CAC won't give them attitide. It's been a very long 2 months and Hopefully, she gets to visit us next month.

Thanks Tunde

I find it difficult to believe because other sites like ESPN, BBC sport, BT sport and other top sites have not confirmed..

http://www.espnfc.us/manchester-united/story/2880868/jose-mourinho-to-manchester-united-deal-could-be-concluded-friday-source

LEOSIRSIR:
Jose Mourinho has signed his contract to become the new manager of Manchester United, Sky Sports News HQ can exclusively confirm.

The Portuguese put pen to paper at a central London hotel at around 5pm on Thursday to succeed Louis van Gaal as the new boss at Old Trafford.

Sky Sports News HQ exclusively broke the news after Mourinho returned home at 5.20pm with documents in his hand and a bottle of red wine, having met with United's executive vice chairman Ed Woodward to complete the deal.

One thing we should all remember is .... this forum is to help others .. We all have experience different pathways with Visa application and Immigrations... so we are bound to express situations with our knowledge and experience but condemning or judging others is highly wrong...

Legally, an immigration officer is whom have the right to guide and advice an applicant... but i notice people condemn, judge and conclude on here which is highly wrong because none here has the right to do so...

OPINION IS WHAT WE ARE GIVING HERE BUT IF ANYONE KNOWS BEST THEN GIVE ADVISE

Opinion a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

Advising offer suggestions about the best course of action to someone

Enjoy your weekend and watch UCL... wink
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tunderule2016: 12:04pm On May 26, 2016
My opinion is keep calm and dont rush in making any decisions.....
You should definitely put in a strong case.... Yes it is about money for them....since in a week thousands of applications are put in by nigerians.

ECO are bound to make mistakes.... but dont make wrong decisions... When applying again make sure your mom writes a personal letter explaining what happened to her ... she should not get too carried away with emotions but she should make them realize there mistakes ; i believe the lawyer should know what to write up.

Good luck and will keep u in my prayers..

phardey:
I understand they are really looking for flimsy excuses not to give us visas.
But I know they are wrong and I intend to fight this to the last. Accusing her and banning is so wrong. She has excellent travel history. Never ever stayed beyond a month while visiting the UK.

If I didnt move back here. I'm almost certain she wont even try to apply for a UK visa.
They have no reason.

Infact, my lawyer said we could them because the Business Name is registered to her.
Just no reason for them to refuse her this time.

I'm stating to think everything is about money for them. This is wrong. She was wrongly accused
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tunderule2016: 9:18am On May 26, 2016
You are right .... but most times those countries exaggerates and lie.... There was a time an independent firm evaluated how UK embassy treats Nigerians and africa applications.. Chief inspector to the UKBA, John Vine, said many visas were incorrectly rejected after employees "disregarded or misinterpreted" evidence. Some applicants were being refused for failing to provide information that had not been originally requested, he said.
The agency(UKBA) said it took the findings "seriously" and would improve training

Even as much as we know some nigerians applicant too go into some funny acts, this countries representatives also makes silly mistakes that cost as much as the acts some nigerians go into but at the end of it ... who pays the price ..na WE...

http://nigerianwatch.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=223:nigerian-visa-applicants-unfairly-advised-on-documentation-requirements&catid=87&Itemid=2

The funny thing is the UK at times mislead people... even this UKBA mislead there own MPs and parliament ... read the story below

http://immigrationmatters.co.uk/uk-border-agency-misled-parliament-over-asylum-case-backlog.html

I just hope for a change that will make the outside world see us more for whom we are (cos average Nigerians are GOOD PEOPLE... )

ifyalways:
Seems most countries now including South Africa are not too keen on giving Nigerians visa.

Too bad for people trying so hard to get out or simply go on vacation.

Hi everyone

Please can someone help explain this email to me. I sent email to the tribunal regarding my husband appeal. They sent this email back and am a bit confused.

The IA10 (Notice of Pending Appeal) was sent to the Appellant, Representative (if applicable) and Respondent on the 01/12/2016. This notice is for your information only as it is for the Embassy to action.

We can confirm that we have received the respondent bundle.

No further action is required from you at this stage.

Please quote your Tribunal Appeal Number in all correspondence when contacting us, as we may not be able to assist you without it.

**Please note that a Sponsor is only entitled to receive the Notice of Hearing. No other document will be sent to a Sponsor**
Appeal process is a waiting game.... as they said you will have to do nothing but to wait... your sponsor will receive notice of hearing.., Just HOPE and PRAY...

if your partners passport expired , that is fine... but if yours has expired you should go get a new one ASAP.... because embassies only give valid visa on valid passport... @dday101 is right no embassy will issue visa on expired passport

Fifi123:
Does wrong partner's passport's expiry date affect visa, if submitting a new application with wrong passport expiry date with my passport to embassy to stamp visa on it?
Because my partner's passport was expired

Yes they want to justify it .. and also... if it is settlement there is BRP factor.... they kind of consider it ...there is NEW BRP rules for overseas applicants. Here is the international rollout schedule for biometric resident permits for overseas applicants for visas of longer than 6 months. Once a country goes live you will receive a temporary vignette in your passport which gives you 30 days from the visa issue date to travel to the UK and you have 10 days after arrival to collect your BRP from a designated post office.
