Yes ATM card , just add services online then you pay with your card but make sure your limit can allow it. I will suggest you call your bank ask for your online limit transaction and ask how much is exchange rate for dollar and pounds. I heard it has gone up again.. crazy!! deept: Hello Tunde,
how is the fee for the priority service paid? via ATM card? |

I did respond to this earlier... Honestly this does not mean refusal... i have seen an application that got a decision made in one day. You just have to be positive... your case might be straight forward and the ECO sees there is no point in wasting time on your application.... if i were you i will be more positive than negative. One thing u should know.. this ECO has got TARGET too that are given to them by there bosses.. When passport is ready go pick your visa up and post your time line on the timeline thread section ..... Stay blessed and know the documents are on point except for one thing that is missing ( FIle name- SMILE).. lol Peony200: Hi house I've been following your trend I submitted my application including me and my son and hubby for a 6 months tourist visit on Monday 16th may 2016, the surprising part of it is that we've already got an email that say decision has been made on our visa application on Thursday 19th may 2016. I paid the same... it was outrageous.. You are so right they need to make it clear of any fees that may or will be applied on the fees you pay. I just try not to think about it and see the other side of the coin which is being with my partner. Portsmouth86: totally right, and then there is the non Stirling transaction fees applied by banks, because you have to pay in US dollars, i paid an extra 2.75% on top of the fees i paid, be it i paid before the increase but still they need to make it clear of any fees that may or will be applied on the fees you pay. |

Keep your story same.... same, it is always wise to keep records of all application. this time show strong ties to naija, companies letters, properties, shares, assets anything that will strong show ties to naija. Good luck bruv and use those months to plan proper... it is wise to start preparing 2 months before visa application so you will know you are 100% done your part then leave the rest to baba God... johnsmith866: Thanks for your response. I plan to reapply in about 3 to 4 months after i may have built up my personal account further. Will it be a red flag if i say i have family or a friend in the UK with the new application after I had filled in no for both of them in my previous application. Thanks |

If you want to know from experience then my answer is (Your passport will be the only one to give the result not me or anyone) So stay positive and go receive your visa.... as for the emails , they are generic when your passport is ready for collection or when decision is made . TLS will send you one and the Home office will also send one .. it is just same same... From TLSCONTACT :Application Assessed by UK Visas & Immigration From: Your Visa Application at the British Deputy High Commission in Lagos aodis: Na so, for ur experience those mail they sent, will I break even? |

You are right , I think soon that IHS will increase...shortly, they just cant stop cashing out from us... na wa oo this IHS is free to some countries and some it is even less than 600 pounds . Their is a checker one can use to check how much base on country .. Portsmouth86: It's a joke really they think they can play God with people lives,
The application fees increased by 25% on March 18th
Now its £1195 for the visa fee, and priority increased to £450 (ihs still £600 for initial spouse visa)
The IHS hasn't yet increased but I'm sure it will at some point
I also agree with @tunderule2016 it's better to reapply, because you would recover the visa fee again before the appeal is even looked at which is 12-18 months at the moment, the £800 you would waste on appeal you can use towards reapplying instead of losing all that time and stress |

It will not jeopardize the application ; what will jeopardize the application is the expiring date of the sponsor.... as long as the person still has a valid right of stay in the UK that is what matter.... BIO date copy does not need certifying. They have record, the only thing that need stamping at the bank is the bank statement except if the sponsor is submitting the original bank statement sent from bank to account holders. Good luck.. ajirapsy: Is it fine to include expired bio data page (due to expire in June and we are in applying in July) of UK sponsor passport with ILR in the supporting documents for spouse visa application?
Does this bio data page copy have to be certified by a solicitor?
Would a photocopy of her expired passport bio data page not jeopardise my spouse visa application? Thank you for taking time out to help. |

You are very lucky ..... But on the average it is 15 working days or more for nigerians. You are traveling history and more also, your submission have been on point. Every applicants have his or her history so basically the situation differs.. but officially they want it done within 15 working days. Note: Nigeria is on the watch now because of high volume of fake documents so that also makes the application stay longer than expected.. imperialebony: Yes, five days minimum. It could even take 1 month, depending on the applicant's case and the events/happenings during the time the application is being assessed by the ECO, such as public holidays, strike actions, etc. However, my visa processing had never exceeded 5 working days, from experience. I've been travelling since 2004. |

@akeenade is 100% right.... The negative bank balance is a NO NO.... Anyone who told you that needs flogging... because the company that is sponsoring you has a negative 50 million , how can they sponsor you then. Next time , you sponsor yourself... just get the necessary documents from company and make sure you let them know u have been refused once and you can class it under Lack of sufficient document. When an ECO sees one strong reason to refuse they mostly tend not to look at the other documents , so you do not necessary know if there are other reasons you could be refused; so when applying again make sure all your documents are on point and this time, sponsor yourself. Good luck bruv johnsmith866: Hello guys, I was denied a visitor’s visa to the UK this week. I stated that I was being sponsored by my company for a 10-day holiday. The bank statement provided by the company had a negative balance of about 50 million naira but I was told it wasn’t going to be a problem and that it appeared that way because of a bank guarantee or something of sorts. I had about 500,000 naira in my personal account. I have included an abridged version of the refusal letter. Please I need advice and possible suggestions on the next best steps to take. Thanks
Your application for a visit visa to the United Kingdom has been refused How your application was considered? In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for visitors (https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/immigration-rules), I have considered: • Your application, and any additional relevant information you have provided with it • Your immigration history The decision I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) 4.2, of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because: You state you will visit the UK for 10 days for tourism. You state you will travel alone and you have no friends or family in the UK. You state your employer will pay for your visit, however the bank statement provided in the name of *** has a closing balance of -50 million NGN overdrawn and is considerably overdrawn for the entire five month’s bank statement provided. Given this, I am not satisfied that your circumstances are as claimed. I am therefore not satisfied that you are a genuine visitor and will leave the UK at the end of your visit. Your application for a visit visa has been refused under paragraph V4.2(a) and (c). As outlined above I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds available to cover your costs whilst in the UK without working or accessing public funds. Your application has therefore been refused under paragraph V4.2(e). Future Applications Any future UK visa applications you make will be considered on their individual merits, however you are likely to be refused unless: • Your personal circumstances change significantly between now and your next application • You provide compelling new evidence with your next application In relation to this decision, there is no right of appeal or right to administrative review. |

I just wanted to let all know about appeal times as i have been reading up about it and seen many still waiting 12+ months , and also the proposed increase in appeal fees
the current timescales for the appeals is 12-18 months, this is from current appellants sources widely available
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/apr/21/asylum-and-immigration-court-fees-set-to-rise-by-over-500 Fees going up from £140 to £800 https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/129574 sign this petition if you can.
Priority: In Nigeria there is no set time scale as to how long the priority takes as the wording states " Use of this Priority Visa service guarantees that your application will be placed at the front of the queue for processing ahead of others"
the 15 working days is for in country applications in countries such as Turkey.
Tunisia and Morocco are in the process of changing processing to the UK from Paris (where the sponsor sends everything to Sheffield from within the UK) |

Thanks for the post ;this is over 100% increase damn crazy.....I cant blame them anyways... the market is an ever increasing place, even if they increase to over 1 000 pounds, people will pay since there is none to hold them ransom for it. Honestly, i just feel it is better to re-apply for an application than appealing except the person has got 1 year to play around with. Again thanks for the post. good share..... imperialebony: this is nothing to panic about. It had happened to me severally. Let me make this point clear to you...everybody makes mistakes, including the ECO . I've heard of cases where applicants' documents got mixed-up...where applicant 'A' was sent documents belonging to applicant 'B' by the ECOs. They often commit typographical errors on the names printed on visa stickers, etc. You don't have to entertain any fear at all. You can do either of these(or both, to be on a safe side). Since you've not submitted your physical application yet, you may do a letter and address it to the ECO, mentioning the mistakes and have it corrected, then include it in the documents you're submitting with your application. Secondly, send them an email and explain in just 2 lines. It's amazing to note that these guys, no matter how busy they are, always read emails promptly. One thing is certain...they will give your case a prompt attention. Please don't expect any acknowledgement from them via email because you might end up waiting forever for it, as they may never respond. But that doesn't mean they won't give your case the prompt attention it deserves. They know if they respond, you might want to send another email back to them, even after assuring you that your case will be treated...we nigerians abuse this a lot. If they need any information from you, based on the application you've submitted, they may call or email you. I've been called before, (emailed too) to clarify some vague areas. The most recent encounter I had with them was on our Tax Clearance Certificate. I submitted the most recent one and I received an email that I should clarify why our certificate carries a logo different from the usual logo. I never believed they could notice and email me on such a minor thing. They said that's why my application was delayed and they'll get back to me as soon as they're done with their findings...hahaha. Of course, FIRS has changed their logo and this is one of the areas the ECO now detects the fake TCC. I simply asked them to call the FIRS office to verify the new logo and also visit FIRS website for details. The following day, I received their usual generic 'but harsh' email, that a decision had been made and bla, bla, bla. TLS sent their email a day after, that I should come for collection and I met a multiple visa on my passport. Please don't panic. I had also made mistakes on important dates before. I discovered this after I had submitted the physical documents at the visa processing centre. I emailed them same day so they could be aware before my application got treated. I eventually I got the visa. In 2014, I travelled to Hungary for a business-related training. When I came back, I applied to UK. In my usual habit, I'd prepared a board resolution in which I stated the amount that would be disbursed as PTA for my trip, with our company seal in error. I was so busy that I couldn't have my admin officer edit the board resolution copy which I used for the Hungarian embassy in abuja. I simply asked that the copy be sent to me by email for editing so I could print out the letter myself and have it sealed. I only edited the date and embassy address, printed the board resolution with the title....'Board Resolution on Disbursement of xyz amount to Mr ABC for his Hungarian Trip'(instead of UK Trip). I discovered this after I had submitted all the documents and made a u-turn back to the office. Another blunder was discovered on the online application form was the amount, which I claimed I spent monthly out of my salary. I omitted 2 Zero digits. I quickly wrote them an email and told them I filled-in the figure on the application form in a hurry and it was quite unlike me as my schedule had been busy lately. My passport came back to me with a visa. I prayed about it too...please don't leave this out too. Prayer is very important. All the best! |

It is a Yes, Because the boarding school and university are temporary addresses not permanent. so i would suggest you put in Yes ; that is not misleading. More so, i believe you will be adding documents showing they are students, right? klas: Please, if some of your children are in boarding schools or universities especially outside your town of residence, how does one answer the question of "Does this person currently live with you?"
If the answer is 'no', what address will one put where the children address is required?

Crime › Re: Lekan Shonde: I Didnt Kill Ronke, My Wife, God Is My Witness by tunderule2016: 11:58am On May 11, 2016 |
Shey naija no get forensic department? ziggy3579: Lekan Shonde recounts final moment with his late wife My first contact with Lekan Shonde was in the office of the Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), ACP Tunji Disu. He was already seated with his friends. As I walked in, silence fell on everyone. I exchanged pleasantries and I saw a guy, who was looking tired and worn out. It was obvious his world has crashed on his head.
He was shaking his head intermittently. His words were not too audible, but he kept on saying “I didn’t kill her, I didn’t kill. ” In order to get the best out of him, I needed to get closer. He was now an orphan overnight, a leper no one wanted to touch.
Even his siblings had all deserted him. In my presence, he called his younger brother to come over, but the young man gave one excuse or another on why he couldn’t make it even with assurances from those of us there.
The first question I asked him was ”Lekan, say the truth, did you kill your wife?” He looked me straight in the eyes, head bent and with a low voice that has seen so much anguish in the past few days and said an emphatic “No. I did not kill her, God is my witness.” I didn’t know whether to believe him or not.
He continued: “Before that day, we had been having issues. Since my wife lost her former job (as a banker), I had been the one taking care of all her needs, including the upkeep of our two children. On the day in question, we had some issues.”
He was interjected to explain what the issues were. “I noticed some months back that my wife suddenly changed after she started working for a packaging company in Lagos. She suddenly came home very late. She went to work from Monday to Sunday and hardly prepared food for me and the kids.
“Even with her job, I still took care of her. I have two cars parked in the house, I don’t drive, she was the one who drove the two cars. All my finances were under her care. Even my ATM cards were with her. She drew money from them as she liked. I have been doing my job as a responsible man but I don’t know why my wife suddenly changed.
“Before that day, my wife told me that she was travelling to Abuja on a business trip on behalf of her company and that she would be off for four days. I allowed her. She left me with the two children, agedix and four. I had to combine my job with that of taking care of them.
“A day to her return, a friend called to ask me if I was aware that my wife travelled to Abuja with her boss (name withheld) and they lodged in the same room. I was shocked because my wife never told me she was travelling with him, talkless of sharing room with him for four days. I kept my cool, but was highly worried.
“On her return, I came back earlier than usual, opened the door with my spare key, walked into the house unannounced and overheard her speaking on the phone, ranting away: ’I really enjoyed all our love-making, my whole private part is now paining me from all your bangings, I can’t wait for us to have a repeat of the action, you are the best, my love.’
“While she was saying all that, I walked into the room and she was shocked. I was speechless. She knelt down and started begging me.”
Did you beat her? I interjected again. “No, I didn’t beat her.” He was staring at the floor as he answered me. “Nothing happened, I just stroke my hands around her face (probably slapped her). I left her at that.
“In the morning, I dressed up to go to work. I normally leave for work at about 5:00a.m. daily since I work in Apapa. When I came out, I saw her lying on the couch. I felt she was sleeping and didn’t bother to wake her up. I went away with my key and asked our son to padlock the door from inside.
“It was while I was at work that the nanny called me that they had been trying to ask my wife to open the door but without any response. I asked them to break the door open if she was not responding.
“I was on my way home when I called for update and was told there were police everywhere. Based on this, I was scared. I had to stay away from the house and scene since then.”
