what visa are you applying for ?
this link below will make you understand guidance to Maintenance and accommodation (MAA)

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/maintenance-and-accommodation-maa/maintenance-and-accommodation-maa--2

and as for the 100 pounds thing... if you are applying for settlement... your account balance does not matter , it is the 18600 that matters..

ajirapsy:
Hi Everyone,

I have a few questions:

1. Can one use a council subsidized house to meet accommodation requirement?

2. Can a sponsor take any/all of these credits: Child Tax, Working Tax, Housing Tax?

3. Is it necessary to have a substantial amount left as account closing balance before submitting application?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tunderule2016: 10:03pm On Jun 03, 2016
Yes to be on the safer side provide all the account and in the application form with a brief sentence state that your dad makes transfer regularly from in salary account to the other account. I will also feel your dad should include that in is sponsor letter that he is taking full responsibility of your trip and due to personal reasons he transfer funds from is salary account to other account.

Good luck bruv

valeroso:
Hi guys. I need your help once again. My dad is sponsoring my trip to the UK. Problem is he transfers his salary from his current account to some other account. This would me that there is insufficient funds in his salary account. Do I have to present both his salary account and the other savings account with funds?

Thanks.

Hi Justwise. Hi Tunderule2016
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tunderule2016: 9:56pm On Jun 03, 2016
Wedding pics and naming pics are not essential but if you want to add it is fine...

If you are employed, you will need the following:
o Letter confirming your employment
 This letter needs to be on a company letterhead
 Needs to be dated
 Needs to state all contact details of your employer
 Needs to state your starting date of employment
 Needs to confirm that permission for leave has been granted
o Confirming travel dates
o Payslips (ideally last 6 )

If looking to rent straight away:
 Any correspondence from UK letting agency
www.9flats.com is also recommended as a means to find accommodation

If staying initially at a B ‘n B or hotel:
 Reservation confirmation showing dates booked and contact details

But if not straight away.... booking.com

Provisional or paid flight booking
 Confirming expected departure date
 Provision flights are free flight bookings only valid for 24 hours

because u spending 10 days does not matter... i always tell applicants to show funds that will cover two months... hence, 500k is alright for 10 days ..
 6 month original bank statements

 Additional supporting funds (optional)
o Car registration papers and/or car evaluation
o Confirmation of property ownership – including rates bill
o Investments and/or savings

include every other document u listed

Goodluck...

if you have studied in the UK before it is not a requirement.
Degree from English recognized university or college equivalent to a UK bachelors degree or IELTS

You don’t need to prove your knowledge of English if you’re:

aged 65 or over
unable to, because of a long-term physical or mental condition

Hi Justwise and other eminent contributors,

Please I have two questions:

1. How soon can one reapply to extend spousal visa - my wife's current visa expires in October 2016?

2. Please do you have a website link where we can download application form and also get more information about what documents are required?

Many thanks.

I received the same email.... be positive.... i know u will hear good news by God grace.

nky2015:
Hi Tunderule, this is Wat I received.

A decision has been made on your UK Visa application. Your application will be dispatched shortly from the Decision Making Centre in Sheffield, UK. If anyone contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, they cannot - please report any such approach to VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk.

Applications submitted at a Visa Application Centre will be returned there for you to collect.

Applications submitted in Nigeria Visa Application Centres, Accra, Yaounde, Dakar, Banjul will be available for collection 3 - 5 days after receipt of this email. Please do not attend these VACs until this time has passed, or until you are notified that your documents are ready for collection.

If your visa has been Issued after a successful Appeal please go to the VAC 5 days after the receipt of this email. The VAC will not contact you regarding this.

Applications submitted at the mobile VACs in Abidjan and Freetown will be returned by courier directly to the address you have provided.

You should not expect to receive any further notification from this office unless you have made your application in North America and submitted a pre-paid courier envelope for your documents to be returned directly to you. If so you will also receive a further email with the courier tracking reference. Please note that if you applied at the Toronto Visa Application Centre on or after 28 April 2015, and have paid for your documents to be returned directly to you, you will shortly receive your tracking number from the Visa Application Centre rather than from this office.

Kind regards,

Sheffield Visa Section

Good luck on the hearing date...we are all keeping you in our prayers...

you know so many things has changed since 2015...
i have seen couple of ppl that received IHS before decision email.... but anyways, there are always exception

Cos a few ppl that appealed and won, they asked them to pay IHS fee after the received their VISA.

Anyways, We shall all hear good news IJN

Davdar:
Thanks everyone will wait for the hearing date.

@ tenderule

My husband got his decision email without IHS refund but was refused. We haven't got the refund till now since October 2015.We appeal and waiting for a hearing date.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tunderule2016: 5:36pm On Jun 01, 2016
Have you received decision made? And is your ihs refunded

Batba1:
Was just curious as I got a VAF no in the mail after bio as well few weeks ago
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tunderule2016: 3:27pm On Jun 01, 2016
Yes there was a VAF.... why do u ask bruv? Yes it is the same with the decision made email...

Batba1:
What I meant was after the bio, they notify you via email when they get ur documents at Sheffield from Lagos (not supporting docs)

Was there a VAF no on the email or just the GWF? And is it same with the one in the 'decision made' email?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tunderule2016: 1:55pm On Jun 01, 2016
MOST TIME IHS IS REFUNDED way before DECISION EMAIL.... dont worry too much sis... Everything is going fine for you so stay positive...
IHS is refunded automatically... into any card used to make the payment if application is refused.... and when anyone appeal and win the appeal then they ask the person to pay for IHS again...

nky2015:
Hi khdz, wanted to know.
Did u receive the IHS and email @ exactly 12 weeks and did u receive the email the same day as ur IHS

TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tunderule2016: 12:18pm On Jun 01, 2016
on the link i gave you before .. you were meant to go to Apply online if you can - online appeals are quicker than post or fax appeals, then on this section What you’re appealing How you can apply { you will go to Certain decisions about applications submitted before 6 April 2015; that is where you will find the form IAFT-2... and on that part too you will see where you can appeal online...

This UK ppl website is complicated.... pele..

OK here you can find the forms..... and apply online

https://www.gov.uk/immigration-asylum-tribunal/applications-made-before-6-april-2015

khdz:
Can i ask you a question ? did you receive your IHS payment back before you got an email that decision has been made?

yes. i was shocked to see IHS payment back into my account and email came as 'processed application for GWR****** is ready for collection.'

As @worry359 said there will be some strong worries for rejection... But you can do the following... Get a sponsorship letter from ur dad and also indicating that he transferred the money for the purpose of your traveling .... for graduation. Also, he needs to print out is bank statement and you will also do the same... cos that transfer must be identified.
{ I do something personally whenever i want to make the work of ECO easier... I circle my salary becos my salary dont come on exact date but ranges from last week of every month. So you can circle the deposit in the bank statements with the date so the ECO attention is drawn (it is my own opinion u dont have to do it)}

Your dad sponsorship also needs to indicate he has sponsored you all through your education. On the form, Additional information box... Explain in there why your dad transferred the money to you in briefs... so u dont give them much of reason of refusal. Let them know your travel records also proves you have never furstrated the immigration rules and you intend to come back to nigeria. You should be fine... Good luck

kelljuili:
What if the money is already in my personal account and there's no enough time to transfer back. What other options are available?

Plz help me with the number abeg.annd wen u say 3000 naria.do I have to pay.thanks.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tunderule2016: 9:16am On Jun 01, 2016
IMO......

Leave money in dad account and when you get visa collect the bar...
Yes Sponsorship letter from dad... and dad bank statement .
If staying with a friend that is fine... but u will need more than a letter cos he needs to show is agreement ... or you can just go to booking.com open account there and find a close by hotel and use your credit card no need to have money inside.. and when u get there u can chose not to go to the hotel and go to your friend. But make sure you cancel.. later. More also, make sure the hotel u choising is pay on arrival.

Good luck...

kelljuili:
Hello everyone, please I need you honest advice.
Am planning to attend my graduation ceremony soon, but my dad will be the one sponsoring the trip. Although the money required will be deposited in my saving account.
Here's my question do I need attach a sponsorship letter from my dad in my application. 2) I will be staying with a friend who is a British citizen during my visit, do I need a letter from him as well.
*Note duration of stay. 1week 5days
* At the moment currently Unemployed.
What other documents can I add to show that my intention are genuine and that am not planning to break any immigration laws.
Thank you in advance
