ComputersRe: Networking Problem Pls Help by turboman(m): 4:12pm On Feb 11, 2011
ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) is the solution. Enable internet connection sharing and the other system will browse. the process is easy, however, getting to ICS setup depends on your the version of your OS (xp,vista,win7. . . . . ).

Whats your OS?

I really pains me when some people reason like fools. Do you expect the government to evacuate them from Egypt back to Naija and still be responsible for their upkeep in their home country? These people are Nigerians and not asylum seekers or some foreign refugees. The government gave them a free ride home, i really don't know what more you expect. Afterall, they weren't force to comeback.

If you need a reason to castigate the government, look for a good one.

FamilyRe: Is America The Right Place To Train A Child? by turboman(m): 3:55pm On Jan 26, 2011
a significant setback in training a child in the US is the fact that the american system frowns at the use of some simple training tools n techniques like koboko, slap, physical purnishments, etc. But in 9ja all these are at your disposal.
I'm not an advocate of corpral purnishment, but i was brought up that way and it really worked

ProgrammingRe: Should We Have "programmers' Conference" In Nigeria? by turboman(m): 2:48pm On Dec 25, 2010
Its a nice idea. I'm an IT specialist, but not programmer. The idea is good but you should try organizing it yourself with a few pals, raising its awareness on the internet (Nairaland, Facebook, etc) and word of mouth amongst colleagues. I bet you, a lot of programmers would be interested.

But my advice to you is to avoid seeking the cooperation of "old and stale union members or politician" in Nigerian computer societies or the society itself. Just fix an age limit of about 45 and call it a young programmers conference and that will weed them out.

May their souls rest in perfect peace. Its a very rear gesture for a madam or oga to risk their life for a subordinate, wish every oga and madam would do same for their subordinates.

May God grant the families the fortitude to bear these losses especially in a season like this.

na wao really sad. but wetin the pa sef dey find for water when she no sabi swim, even if she sabo swim she no sabi say this one na sea with strong current and waves.   and also where the life guards them dey sef.

The life guards are usually the area boys (the ones born and bred on the river bank with extra-ordinary swimming abilities) who renders their priceless services for a little token or egunje, but most Lagosians see them as nuisance when they ask for egunje, downplaying their importance until something like this happens.
RomanceRe: Do Girls Get Friendlier During Christmas Period? by turboman(m): 12:42pm On Dec 24, 2010
Run run run, run for your life. This is a milking strategy, its not new, its been in existence for quite a while. This is just the first phase. After this, she would disappear for a while (for some flimsy reasons) and reappear in the valentine season promising to be with you forever while milking you further. The final phase would be her birthday which will definitely come up in March. After that she disappears into thin air for good.

My advice for you (if you refuse to run) is to endeavor to take your share first then let her know you have a procedural manual of their operations so she shouldn't try playing by their book because it wouldn't work for you.

Good luck, wish you and mugus a  bleep.ing holiday

There are still some decent women out there that work in organisations and able to withstand any advances from their boss. eg those that work in goverment organisation amongst others.

A WOMAN THAT WILL BE PROMISCUOS OR CHEAT WILL DO IT EITHER WAY.

IF YOUR BOSS IS DISCTURBING YOU AS A WOMAN OR A LOADED GUY AND YOU AS A WOMAN IS MARRIED IF YOU DONT WANT TO PLAY BALL THEN YOU WONT AS ITS BY CHOICE TO SLEEP WITH THEM AND NOT BY FORCE. WORSE CASE SCNERIO THEY WILL SACK YOU AND IF YOU WANT TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION YOU CAN DO SO AS LONG AS YOU HAVE ALL EVIDENCES. EG CALLS, TEXT MESSAGES.ETC.
I totally agree with you that there are still decent ladies and gentlemen out there. However, the one thing that i can assure you is that the average male employee is readily available to screw his female boss for a promotion or a pay rise, same applies to any woman who is as ambitious as these men.
It not news hearing of employees requiring female employees not to become pregnant withing the first 5 years of employment or married women consuming variety of contaceptives in other to meet employee demands as mentioned. Over ambitious women can do anything to secure their jobs (and they are everywhere), sleeping with their boss is a tip of the iceberg.

Is there really any female worker that isn't sleeping or wouldn't at some point sleep with her boss/ senior colleague? I doubt, except any of two possibilities: 1. The boss doesn't find her attractive, is impotent, is a genuine man of integrity, or just isn't interested for whatever reason. 2. The girl's dad/uncle owns the company or she has higher 'authorities' than the boss such that the boss leaves her alone to avoid wahala. Other than these two broad possibilities, your girlfriend or wife is either sleeping with or would soon sleep with her boss or she would lose her job. If one's girlfriend or wife has kept that job all this while - without necessarily being a super-indispensable genius that the company can't easily replace, then be rest assured that there's a high possibility she's being whorishly penetrated on all fronts in some hotel somewhere. Even if its not the boss, it would be some dashing/charming colleague for whom she has developed strong feelings due to hours and hours of working closely together for months on end - seduction is always a contact sport.

That's the bitter truth, even though I expect the so-called 'career ladies' to vehemently deny it and stubbornly live in denial.

It is really bleak for those of us that want a faithful career woman for a wife. The odds are so slim as to be considered near-impossible. Yeah they'll say it's the same thing for the men too, but thats not the issue now, is it.
Sadly, this is the bitter truth, and it can't get 'truer' than this embarassed
Its either she chooses her job or her marriage. These sort of cruel advances occurs in almost every organisation (large, medium and even small ones), but how many time do we actually hear of ladies quitting their jobs 'for personal reasons' or the men being fired for gross misconduct relating to sexual harrassment. Its so pathetic, ladies are better of self employed in order to avoid such pressures.
God help us! embarassed
FamilyRe: Forcing My Mother-in-law To Leave My Home by turboman(m): 3:04pm On Dec 22, 2010
I'm not married, but i know this is a critical situation. However leaving the house is not an option. Are there kids in the picture? if there are non, then i guess it would be easier to handle. Do not bring your mother into the situation because from your reaction so far, i can tell that you are cool headed and so your mother should be an easy going lover of peace who you probably don't want to be drawn into such situation. I doubt you can talk thing out with your wife because women are so gullible and in a situation like this i doubt she would take side with you. Finally, my advice to you is to prepare yourself for the worst and make a very tough decision that will end in your favor even if it means loosing your marriage in the process. Hope age is on your side embarassed

Just be a man, a careless one cos it helps sometimes.

Don't forget to ask God for divine guidance too!

CrimeRe: Trusted Home Help Kidnapped Sharon! by turboman(m): 2:11pm On Dec 22, 2010
Such situations are preventable only if women are ready to play their role as mothers. I wonder why women of nowadays abandon their family just for the sake of "i am a working class lady" or "i have my own income and do not depend on my hubby", all at the expense of their innocent children who gets to be trained and battered by third parties (relatives, enemy babysitters, witch  maid, house girl, ogbanje, houseboy, househelp etc).
