CareerRe: Must Female Bankers Dress Loosely? by turboman(m): 1:08pm On Jun 10, 2011
Fat lie angry. the poster just cooked up the topic. If it was true, Lagos banks would have been the center stage. Female bankers are decently dressed. contrary to  what the poster is saying.  I'm always around bankers, i go to the bank regularity (at least 4 times a week) including on Fridays when they re allowed to wear whatever they like but unfortunately for me, i have not been opportuned to see any of these ladies the poster is referring to in his topic. Anybody presently in the country can do a little research by working into nearby banks to see firsthand what i am talking about

Indecency is in the eyes of the looker.

apocalypse:
I got another real life example

I was watching this programme on CNN where this Rwandan lady was interviewed. During the massacre a priest had to hide her and a group of ladies in his toilet and everyday the utu rebels would come to his house to see if he was habouring any tutsies and everyday he would '' lie '' to them putting his life at risk.

Lies are of the devil and this man should be put to death , right ?
thanks mate, this is the best example on this thread

on the same note, Heaven hlep those who help themselves. if i a corper is accosted by blood thirsty islamic hoodlums up north and (s)he was asked if (s)he is a corper, i think the best answer is to say "no, i no be corper,i pick the shirt for ground"

So are you saying that the vacancies at the Lagos Kiri-Kiri Maximum Prison should be left un-filled ?

Please, calm down, and let us join efforts to try and sustain local businesses in Lagos, Nigeria, including the prison system, by ensuring that they are patronized by patriotic Nigerians on a continuous basis.
My brother, their business is booming, Kirikiri is fully booked for now o! EFCC have booked for 14 out of the remaining 15 bed spaces to lodge some of their clients after the May29 handover. the remaining one has been reserved specially for you. Good luck    grin

A significant percentage of world terrorist have ties with the UK; its either they are citizens, or trained, lived, schooled, etc, in the UK
TravelRe: Killer Pilot Contemplated Crashing A Lagos-Bound British Airways Jet In Suicide Bid by turboman(m): 9:24am On May 19, 2011
Thank God this terrorist did not succeed. if he did, the episode would have been linked to the 2011election terrorist;  PDP, Boko haram,Babangida, Buhari, MEND, etc,  not knowing it was the singular plan of a "mutallabic Briton". Please BA should start carrying out mental and criminal examination (advanced CRB testing) on their pilots. Marital problem is not a justification for plotting the murder of more than 400 Nigerians (even  boko-haram and their likes have a better reason). Suicidal people should not even be allowed to drive themselves talk more of piloting jumbo jets.

Secondly, if this goon carried out his alternative plan of hanging himself in a Lagos hotel room, Nigerian government would be answering questions till now and all the hotel employees would have had a permanent bed space at kirikiri
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Denies Ex-US Envoy, Campbell, Visa by turboman(m): 4:52pm On May 17, 2011
whats the big deal if an American is denied entry right into Nigeria for some good reasons. John Campbell has been chanting anti Nigeria rhethorics for some time now including the fact that Federal Republic of Nigeria will disintergrate by 2015. It is normal for the government to declear him a personal-non-grata. Speak ill of a any nation and same will happen to you.
Ghadaffi advocated for a divided Nigeria sometime last year, and we all condemned his rhetorics, why are NL's now ranting about John campbells case!.
JC's comments are not constructive but destructive. Nigeria needs optimistic foreign diplomats not this type.
This JC of a man is on the board of Autiku's university which was setup with questionable funds. He is not a  foreign investor, but an ex-diplomat with a past which our government frowns at. He should stay away, other Americans are invited.

see them, naija people, hypocrites on the loose. Blabbing nonsense on nairaland. If you have ever told your girlfriend or wife to stop using makeup and artificial hair/add-on, then cast the first stone.

I like makeup and fake hair because they contribute a great deal to to womans beauty. It is near impossible for a lady to go all natural and still please the average guy in this our time except in rare cases.
NYSCRe: FG Promises N5m Each To Families Of Slain Corps Members by turboman(m): 10:10am On May 11, 2011
Pls leave GEJ jare. Human life is priceless and even a £billion cannot replace it. The mere 5million naira (and other addons) is just a token by the government to show how concerned they are about the issue. Afterall these 10 are not the only corper that we have lost in the last service year in the line of duty. Some police officers and INEC staff also died in the line of duty. A lot of innocent Nigerians (very many) also died in this and other similar mayhem resulting from this election. Everybody cannot be compensated in terms or naira. The ultimate compensation is making sure such a sad & ugly event does not repeat itself again. **Nigerians like money too much. Huge monetary compensation can result in some families deliberatly killing their ward who are serving in order to reap huge compensation**
Someone mention something about building house and comfortable residence for the family of the victims; from the little info i gathered about the victims, not all of them are from poor home.
By the way, how much are the family of military and paramilitary service men given when they loose they loved ones (in most cases bread winners) in the line of duty?
PoliticsRe: Goodluck/ Sambo transformation package for Journalists by turboman(m): 2:42pm On Apr 07, 2011
Saharareporters is just being silly. I could take a better picture in my bedroom with a similar bag, an Ipad2 n Dollar bills, GEJ/Sambo t-shirt, etc,  this evidence is baseless and is the least i expect from a medium like SR

BTW was this pix capture with a hidden cam, or did one of the journalist reveal his loot to the public. I bet you this might be the share of an SR field officer

Vote wisely, vote the right candidate for a better Nigeria

BusinessRe: Brazilian Investor Offers $100bn For Nigeria's 23 Power Plants by turboman(m): 5:14pm On Mar 28, 2011
I don't support selling all the power plant to one firm. Otherwise, Nigerians would drown in the resulting monopoly. Don't be deceived by the $100bn, selling the power plants is like selling the power sector. take this scenario for instance

If 50million household pay a bill of ₦2000(ridiculous init) each month, the firm would be grossing about ₦100bn monthly.

And for a year, would be ₦100bn x 12months = ₦1.2tr approx $80bn (Gross)

With a concession of about 50 years huh, this firm would relegate MTN to the background grin while more graduate would be smiling to the bank cheesy

Acute display of mental deficiency by these pro-GEJ.

A woman not educated enough has no business announcing her ignorance and gross under-development in nation building. Let her remain in the kitchen confines where her as*s is of most admirable.
Grammar and tertiary education (apart from very few courses) do not always go hand in hand. If they do, i wonder how most Indian n chinco student succeed in these UK institutions

I have been hearing about this woman until I Youtube'd it. Would you be proud if the foremost lady who speaks for you as a Nigerian delivers an address anywhere outside Nigeria and she spoke like this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxdwkzVGz48&feature=related
Stale new. All Nigerian's do is condemn, condemn, condemn, condemn, and condemn; Nobody ever comes up with a solution. This Mrs. Jonathan's issue has lingered for too long, its better you come up with a reasonable advise/solution for her than to keep condemning. This wrong approach is a major reason why there is no progress in this country
AutosRe: Policy Reversal: Used Vehicle Importation Rises By 30% ! by turboman(m): 1:33pm On Mar 14, 2011
I luv this development, Tokunbo cars have reduced the number of 'tuke-tuke' on our roads. 504, 505, VW bettles no longer reign supreme on our roads because the middle class can now afford better second hand air baged/ABS etc compliant vehicles at a reasonable price.

PeeDaVinci:
Poor telecom infrastructure, for instance , no functioning national carrier
I disagree on this one. Nigerian telecom infrastructure isn't poor at all. the problem is that services are a bit on the expensive side. There are so many (eg, in Laos, i can't count) internet service providers in the country including the major four telco service providers. Internet is in the air waiting for you plug your CPE and subscribe. But be ready to cough out about $70 monthly
ComputersRe: What Are The Factors Limiting The Growth Of Internet In Nigeria? by turboman(m): 12:47pm On Mar 14, 2011
'Power and Connection fee' are the key factors militating against internet penetration in Nigeria. The internet is fun and comes with a load of upside which the average teen/youth lusts for. Take naija institutions for example where every student is dying to be be computer literate in order to reap the benefits of; Google/Wiki = Assignment made easy, Facebook = Chyking / relationship made easier, Ymessasenger/instant messaging = Aproko made easy etc ,  . . . .  from this  preliminary stage, most newbies are drawn into the real cyber web. Its obvious that with 3g and mobile-phone internet (blackberries and co.) the penetration rate have increased rapidly, but browsing on a mobile device give less than 10% the actual experience of going online on a desk/laptop
