I said something on a post here on Saturday that beating Cote D'Ivoire during the group stage was a disadvantage to us because they won't make the same mistake they did during the group stage again. If they had played equatorial guinea that beat them 4-0 they would have beaten guinea this time. Another thing is they had the support of their fans. Everywhere in the stadium was just orange. But the most obvious reason why we lost was because we didn't play well. Our midfield was non existent. We where finding it hard moving the ball from defense to attack. Same thing happened during the south Africa game and we were so solid in defense that was why we won that game but yesterday the defense was leaky.

There is one bridge at marwa round about. The first day I climbed that bridge, I was scared of my life and the bridge is now fucking long again.

U can't take this ranking at face value. Covenant university was ranked as number 1 in Nigeria according to times. There are many more ranking and what they use for their ranking varies but most times covenant comes first.

he is right to an extent because all the nations qualify automatically. For this year competition, 4 teams from north America where invited to complete the grouping and still yet some teams still have only 3 teams in that group.

That was why I said in the last 20 years. If you used the older years to judge, you may not get the hardest tournament. Yes, Euro have a more quality competition out of all country's tournaments but the most hardest with likely upset is AFCON, COPA America, EURO and the last Asian tournament. But if we should rate on quality, then, EURO, COPA America, AFCON and Asian tournament. All these ratings from my own view point.

alright I get u. But my own opinion euro looks harder because it isn't sure for the big boys. As good as France is the last time they won it was 24 years ago. Even Germany is like 28 years ago and this are top teams with star players. But u can't say the same thing about Brazil, Argentina or Uruguay who will surely win it unless there is an upset. For example this season Copa America u can almost predict that one of those 3 will will it but euro u would have to consider england, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany and like 2 other teams. U can't say for sure that any of them will win it.

Firstly, you need to take into consideration the number of south American countries participating in Copa America tournament. They are just 10 teams and has been won by 8 teams and just recently they started inviting from outside the continent.
Let me correct your stat. South America have only played 47 tournaments altogether and not 48.
Uruguay have won it 15 times. Argentina have won it 15 times. Brazil 9 times. The other former champions are Paraguay, Peru and Chile, with two titles each, and Bolivia, and Colombia, who have each won one.
Whereas 24 teams participate in Euro cup and has been won by 10 teams namely: Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Netherlands, Denmark, Greece and Portugal.

so from ur stats which is more competitive. The one that 3 teams has won it a combined 39 times out of 47 when just 10 are competing in total. Or the one that 10 has won it out of 16 times where 24 are competing?

u are right. The world cup has been dominated by European teams in the last decade. Except from Argentina and Brazil and once in a while Uruguay the rest of the Copa teams are just there to complete the competition, same with afcon and Asia.

how do u know who will win euro. A competition that teams don't easily win back to back. Shouldn't hardest be rated on how hard it is to win it. Euro is the simplex among the listed tournaments. There's no time the tournament will ever spring surprise. As soon as the each country roll out their teams, you will know wish country will win the tournament. No surprise. You will never see a small country springing surprise in the tournament. The winning of Euro has been between high powered football nations unlike COPA and AFCON. One small team can just cause an upset sometimes. Even from your own list, you listed up to 6 countries that have won COPA America. Same thing with AFCON.
For 20 years down the line, which mushrooms countries had won EURO tournament? But it has happened in COPA America and AFCON.

I just showed u the list of winners in Copa America and u still mentioned it again. Since the creation of Copa America their have been 48 competitions and argentina, Brazil and uraguay has won it 39 times. So the only time they have been surprising winners was 9 times. In the last 40 years their have only been 2 surprising winners Chile and Colombia and those two teams aren't small. So how is it better than euro whereby the highest winning is 3. Different winners almost every year except when Spain and west Germany won it twice in a row. But Argentina has won it 3 times in a row same as Uruguay. Brazil has won it 4 out of 5 competitions and u are telling me it is competitive. Euro remains the most competitive because u don't know who will win it until the finals. Just search google for list of winners of Copa America and see Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil dominating the winner list. Winning it almost every year. At least one among them must enter final.

Let me shock those that think Copa is harder. They have played Copa America 47 times and just only 8 times that a different team has won it. That means the remaining 39 has been won by Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. Argentina and Uruguay have both won it 15 times while Brazil has won it 9 times. While the remaining 7 teams struggles to have 8 wins.

Four different countries have won the last five editions. Argentina and Brazil only won one each out of of those.

I made a mistake there. They have 3 big boys and they have won a combined 13 times in the last 40years. Don't forget Copa is played every 4 years. Only Chile who won it twice and Colombia where able to break that jinx of the big boys during the 40 years. The Chile team had a lot of top players same as the Colombia team. Go and check euro and see if it is the same way they are winning it. If the best teams can win it 3 times in a row like how Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay are doing it.

South American football dont have joy, they will kick your legs like mad.
You see the like of Chile, Ecuador, Colombia,Uruguay and Paraguay can beat Brazil or Argentina on any good day. Football in south America is evenly distributed that's why their world cup qualifiers is always the most competitive.

There was a time Argentina won it 3 times in a roll and u say it is hard. U can easily predict the winners of Copa since they don't have many teams competing. It will always be one of Argentina, Brazil or Uruguay and once in a while people like chile, Colombia and the likes can win it. The Uruguay u mentioned are also a big team in Copa America. They have more trophies than Brazil. In the last 40years of Copa America just five teams has won it. Brazil 6 times (they won it back to back twice), Uruguay 4 (they won it back to back once), Argentina 3 times (they won it back to back once), Chile twice (won it back to back and this was their golden squad) and Colombia only winning it once. So tell me how it is hard.

UEFA/champion league teams benefit from the input of foreigners but this isn’t about UEFA which is competed by club sides.

In Euro cup…big teams are Germany, Spain, England, France, Portugal and maybe Belgium, Denmark, Norway.

AFCON is highly unpredictable amongst Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco from North Africa and down the subsahara, Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mali, Cameroon, South Africa and then Guinea, Burkina Fasso, DRC, Zambia….any of these teams can win the trophy.

AFCON in my opinion is the hardest if you are not compari.ng the countries with South America and Europe and instead focus on the competing nations.

u didn't mention Croatia, Netherlands who are also big teams. Norway shouldn't be there. Even Greece has won euro before do u know that

Australia did better than those two in the last world cup thou. Most of this Asia teams are just coming up thou especially the Islamic states that are trying to improve. I also think Iran is no joke too.

I don't think he has done that bad. Although sometimes he tend to disappear from the field and passes rubbish but we should keep our winning team and not change it at the dying minute. How are we sure the person who will come in for him will do better.

none of the teams u mentioned are in the final of this year Asia cup. Teams like Qatar, Iran, even Jordan can beat those teams. There is also Australia that plays in Asia.

Euro is harder and not Copa. My reason is we don't have many teams competing for Copa that they even have to invite teams from other continent. This year the will be inviting USA and one other team. Also we have Argentina winning it 15 times, uraguay has also won it more than 9 times and Brazil 9 times. Something that is hard shouldnt be won easily since argentina has won it back to back to back. For those saying Messi struggled to win it, this is because they struggled to build a team around Messi during this period. Also we have teams like chile, Peru, Bolivia winning the trophy on multiple occasions. How can u call that hard? Now go and check euro and see if it is easy.
