I hope to see you someday to yab you,as our EDD is similar and we are looking at elpaso. I like your free and determined spirit though, Its encouraging. Some people will get their visa here and them no go answer questions again,God is watching all of you.

NB: One thing i have learnt from my visa applications is that you can never overprepare, think like the VO,be honest and block all loopholes. I wish everyone luck.

Phema: Thanks Malory84. We just thank God all my effort was not in vain. I don't live in Abuja though. Flew all the way from Lagos to Abuja for the interview and on my way back now.

i did same sent mail to both embassies apologising for not telling them about the reason for my trip. i sent them a mail indicating the fulll details of my trip when i intend to leave the country and where i intend to put to bed, they both replied me that it is okay and that i have been pardoned

I must confess you are one lucky lady, others have gotten their visas cancelled for lesser issues. Give God the glory for this and let honesty be your watchword for the future. This reminds me of the bible verse " I will have mercy on whom i will have mercy". I wish you safe delivery.

h0n0rable: Hi peeps, Need some advise on how to get out of an error have found myself.
Went for interview at the lagos embassy on Monday and our session went thus:

CO: What happen to your Diversity Visa Hubby.
US: Hubby was shocked I never won any DV visa neither did I applied lately
CO: ok may be it might not be you
CO: But am sure you applied for a student visa before?
US: Hubby, yes I did year 2000 but was denied.
.CO: Sorry: you visa is denied and handed us a blue form.

Sorry about your denial. I suspect someone with a similar identity is under the radar at the embassy or maybe your husband's identity has been flagged for falsifications and several desperate applications in the past. He might have been lucky and those issues wouldnt have come up,i guess it wasn't just his lucky day. Check that slip of paper ,If you are allowed to reapply again, make sure you state the facts as they are and apologize to the next VO for the past misrepresentations. Dont mess up your case by explaining the age falsification story,Its never too late to make amends. Sorry once again

If i were your girl,i would have cut you lose within 6 months if i dont know where you stay. Secondly i always tell girls to ask their guys what his plans are at the beginning of a relationship because a woman doesn't have all the time to waste. If she loves you she will appreciate you as you are and stay with you till you get a job. Since they don't want 3rd parties then leave them for now. They may have a way of settling their issues. I have heard of couples who beat themselves well and make up with intimacy. There is a lot of madness going around these days in the name of marriage.

@OP, that marriage got screwed the day the man started beating his wife. If he is such a nice guy why didn't he report her to your family before the beating?. She can't respect him easily after that. The bulk rest with them there is little you can do, they both have issues and they need to retrace their step. Respected families or counsellors can be invited to intervene but you must get your sisters approval. But if that beating continue she must leave the marriage before the worst happen.
