Evening gurus of the house, please what is Wapco's fair price and what do you advice as a reasonable entry price.
Please help a friend in need, I appreciate.
Wapco's fair price is Between N15 to N20 based on industrial book value, future EPS and PE ratio valuations. The best time to enter is now when the price is below N12.

For those who think the Breweries will get some respite soon, check the link above as the federal government is planning to levy more duties on soft drinks.

Non alcoholic products of Guinness, NB, IB etc will be negatively impacted. Apparently the advisers of this regime feels the only way to boost revenue is to keep taxing all taxables. We hope these Cash cows won't collapse one day. grin

So it's a honourable thing for him to go into hiding now that the die is cast?
This comment is not acceptable. Even when we differ or joke on issues we must never ridicule or spite members. This UACN could have also gone up. Though OGG can be stubborn by sticking with his call which he has the right to do, But he is never monkey hunting.

He even advised those doing short term on the stock to Sell. What else do you want him to do?

The FPI guys have been avoiding our market since the beginning of Emefielenomics that has led to wide divergence in official and parallel market rates thereby creating overnight millionaires at the expense of overall national prosperity and absence of clear policy direction. To be honest there is nothing new in the report as the current lull in the market is a testament to low appetite of this guys to come in despite the cheapness of our stocks compared to other emerging markets prices.

Nigeria is at the brink of slipping into another recession and the only way out is uniformity of forex rates.
For heaven's sake they should just unify the rates once and for all. They are aiming for N550 next. Do whatever needs to be done now and damn the consequence.

OGS looked clueless all through the match. No fresh instructions to the boys. The opponent's are pressing high hence messing up our free flow football but we are not doing same to them . The team also need about 3 to 4 good signing to be solid.

Rashford keep wasting balls or losing balls. martial has disappeared. Baily and Fred looks like disaster waiting to happen.

Won't they sell now leading to liquidity?
Do you have a list of those speculating and hoarding dollars? There is just no sufficient fund in the system to meet FX obligations for now. Inflow of Dollar from Oil revenue has gone down.

I think the current devalued CBN exchange rate will bring some form of direction to the market. Currency speculators will now be scrambling to cut losses grin grin.
There may not be any effect yet if the CBN doesn't provide some good amount of dollar in the system via sales to BDC,etc.

We simply don't have enough dollars in the system to save the naira at the moment. I am seeing a 3rd round of devaluation happening soon which will probably be the last.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Tvegas(m):
Any serious investor entering the market now should be accumulating WAPCO. Half year EPS N1.40. Forecasted full year EPS should be circa N2.50. Full year dividend shouldnt be less than N1.50 to N2( Except the management play funny games).

This is the cheapest in its sector presently. Just like UCAP, the market may undervalue a sound stock for a while, but when it starts to move, you will not be able to bring it down.

CAVEAT: I have been buying this for 2 months now. I am a major Customer and i hear distributors comments. The company is making money right now.

I just feel like she really needs a smartphone and I'm thinking if i should get her one... I've not really made up my mind yet, might sound crazy but I'll really like to get opinions on this..
When you are madly in love you can be madly hurt, so control your emotions.

Secondly date her for a while and let her develop interest in you , you won't even need to ask anything. Love is easier when a woman truly wants you and you are not forcing things.

Thirdly don't buy her any yeye phone ,that's the duty of her parent or she can get a job to buy one. If you don't take advise and you stupidly do this, the girl may fall in love with your money till a richer guy comes. Jara E.

For the first time I have joined you today in your monkey trading... Hope GUINNESS will do us well grin
I still think the much awaited massive bull won't be happening till 9 to 12 months from now . By then some vaccine would have been accepted for Covid19 and our CBN would have devalued the naira again thereby resolving the FX impasse.

Whoever is entering the market now should be hunting dividend bargains and modest capital appreciation. No fuel to move the likes of Wapco, Guinness,Zenith etc for now. This current market is for the medium to long term, so cover all ends before entering any stock. And please don't base your expectations on the recent Neimeth appreciation . The volume and value from the Neimeth appreciation was inconsequential to create any tangible value or wealth transfer.

Let's review this again by December

Assuming the unbundling will continue, based on the new holding of UACN in UPDC, what will the new share allocation ratio for UACN shareholders in UPDC? What is the new holding of UACN in UPDC REIT based on the recent development
Note the bolded Statement from UACN MD Fola Aiyesimoju

Folasope Aiyesimoju, Group Managing Director of UAC, said:
“The Transaction is a significant step in achieving our objectives for UPDC. In 2018, the Board and management of UAC embarked on a strategic review to evaluate the performance of the company and its subsidiaries. The objective was to achieve sustainable positive financial performance from our existing operations and enable management focus on businesses that align with our strategy. In reviewing UPDC, the Board weighed the long-term opportunities in the Nigerian real estate sector against the fundamental differences between the cash flow profile and capital needs of UPDC and those of the other entities in UAC’s portfolio. Following its review, the Board concluded that it would be in the best interest of UAC to exit its interest in the real estate sector, allowing UPDC to operate as a standalone legal entity, free to source appropriately structured capital and to unlock value for its shareholders.

In September 2019, the Boards of Directors of UAC and UPDC jointly announced three significant strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening UPDC and positioning the company to operate as a standalone entity. This included a rights issue to recapitalise the business, plans for UAC to transfer UAC’s equity interest in UPDC pro-rata to UAC’s shareholders (“UPDC Unbundling”), and plans for UPDC to unbundle the UPDC REIT to its shareholders (“UPDC REIT Unbundling”). The ₦16 billion UPDC rights issue was successfully completed in April 2020, proceeds of which were used to reduce borrowing costs and significantly improve UPDC’s capital position.

In the process of progressing the unbundling initiatives, UAC received a credible offer from Custodian. The terms of the offer compelled the Board to re-evaluate the planned approach to deconsolidate UPDC and influenced the Board’s decision to proceed with the sale of a portion of UAC’s interest in UPDC to Custodian, effectively putting an end to the UPDC Unbundling. We are delighted about the positive impact that a strong anchor shareholder like Custodian will have on UPDC and are focused on ensuring a smooth transition.”

Please, What does this hold for shareholders of UACN?
And how will UACN utilize the proceeds from this transaction?
Exceptional dividend? lol
Fingers crossed
This means you are at the mercy of the managers of UACN they may pay you a special dividend if they are born again. If they are not born again they may pilfer the proceeds from the sales of UPDC and UPDC REIT via reinvestment in the business.

Speculative investment can be very risky. UACN management hasn't done anything illegal though. They didn't sign agreement with any shareholder to buy UACN because of the unbundling. Everyone was just speculating.
