From insiders Management and efficiency wise , GTB is no longer the bank we used to know. There is a lot of discontent among the staff with the slow pace of promotion and staff welfare. STNWAUME:You've been consistently negative about the naira without suggesting solutions. I have also noticed how You keep advising people to buy dollars and hoard them both on the stock market section and here. People like you are part of the problem the Naira face,because you keep heating up the market unnecessarily and not looking at long-term effects of such actions. So if naira gets to 1000 ,will you be satisfied? and what is the assurance that it won't get to 2000 with these excessive speculation going on and which the likes of you are pushing. If you sell your hoarded dollars at 1 dollar = N1000, do you forget that you will spend the proceeds from that on more expensive Nigerian goods?. At the end it is a lose-lose situation for us all except you don't spend that hoarded dollar in Nigeria. Its sad that Nigeria can not develop right now not so much because of its poor leadership which is undeniable but because of the unpatriotic nature of many of its citizens. I am very sure citizens of other sane nations like the USA will rather starve than join people to manipulate and destroy their currency. How will the American economy grow if all of them are advised to invest in Yuan for keeps. The truth is obvious to everyone, Dollar moving from 500 to 570 within one week is pure manipulation and some devilish economic sabotage. There is no sudden increase in importation to justify it,infact demands for goods have dropped due to the skyrocketing prices of goods. Those who have the demand data should bring it out. CBN is doing its best with this aboki FX issue albeit its coming late,I will side them for once on this. Even though that's not the only solution and they can't be trusted. Infact, My prayer is that meffy should grow some balls, he should ban and criminalise all bdc operations , dorm accounts should also be closed , let all urgent dollar needs be channeled through commercial banks who can be properly regulated. I have American accounts but they will never allow me to open a pounds or yen account. Let there be some order. I remembered your warning about this investment, fx trading and cryptocurrencies months ago. We even analysed the days of Nospetco,sefteg etc back then to remind people. But It seems this is a recurring cycle in our country, can we Estimate what people have lost to these ventures? Why do our people keep falling for such high risk schemes? Is there more we can do in terms of CSR to sensitise people and get the Government to be more proactive? motymop:Sorry poster but I think this person is not telling you the complete truth about his status in Canada. Canada is full of opportunities what most people strive to do is to just get in ,the wife's and kids could have even chased the assylum option like many Nigerians do and they will be well catered for by the government even though its not the ideal thing. The first few months is often the toughest for immigrants especially those without papers but with time people will become stable even with menial jobs because there are benefits and safety nets for everyone. 6 Likes |

Godisfaithful:This Christmas has been coming since February when there was "fire in katanga " according to a brother here. In my view no one can truly time this market. Just buy in tranches. I don't see any sudden drop in the market any time soon. A good 2nd and 3rd quarter results will inflate the market further. Where is the printout from your application? You need to get to the root of this because even if you've not been banned before your new application may lead to a ban due to the inaccurate information you will provide. Mconcept:His status and what he earns is more important than his salary being domiciled in a microfinance bank or not. For example the manager of a microfinance bank earning 1million will most likely have his account domiciled in thesame bank where he works. There is no law that bars Tourist visa applicants from using microfinance banks, the only challenge here is that such accounts can be more easily manipulated than commercial bank accounts. If his salary is domiciled there he should use it, he can back it up with stronger economic and financial ties. 2 Likes |

ClassicTA:No , if you are the one sponsoring this trip you are not good to go as your income threshold is low. I would have advised an improvement in your earnings before you apply for a tourist visa. Its always good to get it right from the get go. A neater option will be for your aunty to sponsor your trip. Also Using cooperative to show your savings of N1.7 million is also a weak financial evidence as anyone can obtain a cooperative letter. A better option may be for you to withdraw that 1.7mil and invest it in treasury bill with a Nigerian commercial bank. The investment certificate given to you by that bank provides a better proof of your savings. All I have listed doesn't mean you can't be granted a tourist visa by some stroke of luck as I am no VO,however from experience what you've presented increases your chances of being denied. |

odugbemiopeyemi:You seem to be stressing over non critical issues, for Tourist visa applications Sometimes i include personal tax clearance certificate and that doesn't show the amounts paid , sometimes I dont include it because it may not be ready when I want to apply. The rule is that you should Include only what you have in your application. If you don't have a document and you think it's critical to your application then delay your visa application till you have the document. However For visitors visa ,tax clearance is not critical. . Its only when they've decided to deny your visa that they will begin to look for what is not lost. No one can have a 100% full proof visa application, just ensure you do your best to tick all the boxes that the VO wants. Find every means to show economic,social and financial ties. List your properties, rent,TB, savings, payslip, marital status if married, the important positions you hold in your social and professional association . Phcmayor:Op if you want to lose weight take vegetable soup sparingly. Most people use vegetable to lose weight because it makes people feel full faster and longer. No one denies its nutritional value though. The best soups to gain weight; Egusi soup with catfish reduce okro,vegetable and ewedu. The best protein to gain weight: sweetened yoghurt, beef, pork meat,mackerel fish reduce snail, goatmeat,croaker. The best grain and carbs to gain weight: Rice in any form, poundo or pounded yam, bread, yam, gaari, semo reduce beans ,fufu amala,oatmeal and potatoes they will fill you faster and longer. Best fruits and nuts to help gain weight: avocado, banana, groundnut, cashewnut reduce grapes,berries they don't have much calories. Processed foods to help gain weight: pizza, burger, kfc chicken and fries, cakes . Take them sparingly due to sodium and sugar concerns. Drinks: take peanut butter milkshakes, Google various recipes for milkshakes, take tea and milk beverages,milk, red wine, take soda sparingly because they don't add any healthy value. Above all how you prepare each meal and the quantity you eat really matters on your journey to weight gain. Also review the rate at which you burn calories because if you burn more calories than you consume you will continue to lose weight. Don't be sedentary but reduce trekking time, gym time etc. You need about 2000 calories to stay fit each day, so to gain weight you need to add at least 500 to 1000 more daily in order to see appreciable result.
