Check this thread.
https://www.nairaland.com/6748312/uk-skilled-worker-visa-health/351

Documents needed
COS
Tuberculosis Test Cert
Police character certificate
IELTS
Passport data page
Marriage certificate if married
If maintenance not ticked on COS, you need bank statement of 28 Daya showing £1207 balance( not sure of the exam amount)
Please just to clarify, does this mean for example you can print a bank statement from 1st of May to 31st of May with the opening and closing balance showing the £1270 inside and use this 1 month bank statement for the skilled worker visa?

I’m asking cos anything more than one month shows when the funds entered the account

giselle237:
for skilled work visa the money only needs to have been there for 28 days
Thank you for the reply. Just so I’ve got this right, I can use a one month statement so far the 1280£ has been in the account for 28days ?

Who contributed? Both parents, one parent? Was it a joint bank account or separate contributions from their account?

Whatever the case the guidelines below would apply.

Since a large sum of money went in, it might do good for your parent(s) to write a letter stating they gifted you xyz amount towards processing your visa and relocation expense.

In the letter let them state transfer of xyz from their account in ABC bank . Attach proof of birth certificate with evidence they're your folks.
Thank you so much. Do they have to include their own bank statement?
The contribution was from different banks accounts

giselle237:
print the statement after the money entered
Thank you for your reply. If I print the statement after the money entered my account it’ll be a one month statement as my appointment is on day 31 since the money entered. Can I use a 1 month statement?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by twojul: 9:05pm On May 21, 2024
Hello house,
Please I need some clarification/advice. I got a job with the NHS and I’ve gotten my COS. My parents have contributed some funds for me to help with the move. I’ll be using my bank statement which shows this amount entering my account and staying there for 28 days. I plan to use this account and these funds in it for my POF when I apply for my work visa next week. Do I need to explain this money? Prior to this payment the account didn’t have much and I barely used it. Help please.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by twojul: 12:02pm On May 31, 2022
Please did you apply via France?
cucumbar:
I submitted on the 29th of April ( Friday before the public holidays), my application was taken to the embassy on Wednesday may 4th, and was returned to VSF on Friday may 6th.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by twojul: 11:58am On May 31, 2022
Congratulations! Can I ask which embassy you applied from?
Arbitrix:
Silent reader here.

So I'm a first time traveller to the Schengen area but a frequent traveller to other places eg UK, US, etc.

Timeline: Went for biometrics on 17 May
Visa Issued 20 May
Picked up today 24 May

Submitted:
Bank Statements
Letter from employer
Personal letter of introduction
Pension statement
Share statement
Employment and confirmation letters
Office Id
Insurance
Accommodation and flight bookings
Travel itinerary

With a single entry visa I can still visit multiple Schengen countries but can't leave and re-enter with the same visa abi?

Can i ask why your friend's brother who has been to the UK previously was denied? Thank you

Joyousgem:
My husband and I invited my cousin without travel history, about to start his final year in 2017 and his visa was granted in two weeks. I was called to confirm some details and my husband was called too. A friend tried the same thing for her brother who has UK travel history and he was denied. I agree with justwise 50/50 chance.

If you need help with the list of documents we submitted and format of letters, i have it somewhere in my email, reach out to me via email, I'll be glad to help.

Thank you!

Undergoing a DBS check should not worry you. It is standard practice for organisations and whatever record the police hold of you shouldn't also worry so long as no offence has been committed. I will say you have no worry here.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 10:52pm On Jun 21, 2021
Hello everyone,

I'm a medical student applying for an elective at a hospital in the uk. i've previously done electives in the uk before covid but now it's difficult to get electives as hospitals aren't taking overseas students due to covid. I was able to find one but one of the things they need is a dbs check. Now i haven't committed any offense in the uk or any other country so i know the dbs check will come back saying i have no offenses but i'm just worried that the police will now have record of my name, passport and other details and dont want to be in under their radar. Also i dont want them thinking i'm coming to the uk to work on a visitors visa cos they might not understand why the hospital is saying i'm their incoming employee so they need my dbs when its just an unpaid medical student elective. What do you guys think or advice? Thank you.

Thank you. Just so i get this correctly. I fund the virtual air card and then use that to fund the virtual dollar card? So i will not be buying physical dollars to put on the virtual dollar card right?
royalmu:
You will need to fund the virtual naira card first before you can fund the virtual dollar card. It's the funded virtual dollar card you will use to make the payment.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 6:45pm On Apr 28, 2021
Please the card to be funded is it a dollar card or a naira card?
royalmu:
Download barter by flutterwave. You will be able to create a virtual dollar card after you sign up. Fund your card and make the visa fee payment. It's seamless.

Hello everyone,

I filled out my DS 160 form for a visit visa and filled a travel date for Dec 2021 but after paying and viewing the calendar, the next available appointment date is Feb 2022. If i pick an appointment date for February 2022 and attend the interview, will it be a problem that my travel date has passed?

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 1:29pm On Dec 12, 2020
Hello all,
Has anyone successfully gotten a refund from TLS after you cancelled your application? It's been 2 months now i've filled the form hundred's of time but I've gotten no tangible response.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 6:55am On Nov 28, 2020
Do you mean short term study visa? I've applied for this before although i didn't apply from Nigeria. A course mate of mine has also applied for this too from Nigeria in 2019 and we both got it. We attached the acceptance letters from where we were doing the short course, letter sponsors from our parents, their bank statement, letter from our university saying that they have given us time to go do this course in the uk as part of our degree, hotel reservation, school ID. I'm not sure what your circumstance is but i hope this helps.

princejunaid:
Please is it that Nigerian don't apply for Short course or the success rate is rear.

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 10:08am On Nov 23, 2020
Yes there’s still 14 days quarantine and they’ll tell you that at the border. I read here they can call or even come to your house to check if you’re actually obey quarantine so please comply.
royalmu:
Ok. Is quarantine still in place?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 10:07am On Nov 23, 2020
Yeah I’m in the UK now. You can still enter as a visitor.
Wales1111:

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 12:17pm On Nov 22, 2020
Sorry for the late reply. Yes tourists are allowed I believe. I’m visiting a friend and I told them this at the border.
royalmu:
You got 5 years visit visa recently. Are tourists allowed into the UK at the moment or yours is family visit?

Hello people. Please has anyone been able to buy PTA recently? My trip is on Saturday and I thought buying PTA could be business as usual but it’s so hard to get now. Banks are saying there’s queue or they don’t have dollars. And black marker price I cut throat. Please can someone offer some advice if they have been successful in buying. I live in Lagos.

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 12:29am On Nov 05, 2020
Thank you. I applied for 5 years. Its not a first application
Sego12345:
Congrat

Did you apply for 5years or 6 months ?
First application?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul:
Hey people. Thanks to everyone who gave advice before I applied and encouraged me when I was freaking out lol. My passport just arrived today with 5 years visitors visa.

Duration and of planned visit — 1 month (I explained that 2 weeks was for quarantine)
Biometrics date — 8th October, Ikeja.
TLS email that my passport has been picked up by DHL — 2nd November.
Passport delivered to my house — 4th November

Documents I used:
Letter of admission.

Letter from my university confirming I’m still a student (I took some time off so I’ve spent longer than the years stated in my admission letter).

School ID.

Copy of my student visa expiring summer 2021 although there’s also a stamp in my passport to prove this.

Invitation letter from my friend who is a UK citizen stating where they work.

My friend’s passport data page.

First degree certificate to prove we became friends when we attended the same university.

I am staying with my friend for this trip so no hotel reservation.

6 month statement — 2.6M (My monthly upkeep money from my father accumulated cos I was in Nigeria for the lockdown and wasn’t paying bills at school. I explained this in my cover letter and the statement transactions show my dad’s name as the depositor each month and reason for deposit).

Birth certificate — I guess to prove it’s my dad who sends me monthly upkeep money.

Itinerary.

Yes they charge if you email them or at least that’s what they said. I called them cos I didn’t have the patience to wait for 2 days for a reply. They charged me about 60p I think per minute for the call.

OBYNOWEST12:
Will they charge you certain amount When contacting them through email.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 10:05am On Nov 02, 2020
Thank you! I can relax now

LoyalRoyalty:
I can confidently say congratulations to you because from the information you got from UKVI, your visa has been approved. The current trend is for refusal letter to be sent via email to an applicant even before such an applicant receives passport collection mail from TLS. Since they told you that a decision has been made on your application without you receiving any refusal letter. Your visa has been approved. Congratulations once again. TLS has no official phone number. Here is the link you can use to contact TLS https://pos.tlscontact.com/los_en/contact-form?type=complaint
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 9:35am On Nov 02, 2020
Hey people! Back again cos I’m about to start freaking out. So I called UKVI this morning to ask if there’s any reason my application is taking so long (today being the 17th working day) and they told me a decision has already been made on my application and that my passport is back with TLS contact. However I never received any email apart from the one they sent when they said they’ve received my documents. And I’m not sure why TLS hasn’t emailed me about my passport. I paid for courier service so they’ll bring it to me. My question now is:

has anyone experienced this before and should I be expecting a refusal letter with my passport?

Is there a number for TLS?
