CaptainGo:Now imagine if this 250-something billion were spent on electricity; it would be a done deal tey tey. You talk of 80, minus it from 250, that's how much? We don't know how much Buhari spent or Tinubu will to defend the naira. And that reminds me OBJ and Atiku administration...$16 billion disappeared till date...you know how many megawatts that is going to solve? I shake my head at this system we are running.

Nigerian shares are for quick sell and so...waiting for years thinking it will amount to anything good is tomfoolery, unlike American stocks. If Papa had changed the money to dollars and left it there in bank sef, he will be in good profits today than the stock. Naira wey dey lose value like pure water. na wa. |
twosquare:We are almost there...things I have said here has happened. Some were afraid of October, now they are bagging the money secretly without sharing with us...people like Chikacha and Seanwilliams.
|
boldsleek:I use Airtel here and it opens...maybe you should try VPN or change your network to see if things will do well. |
boldsleek:Are you using MTN? |
What is food for one may be 'poison' to another. You are right about personal experience, as experience can be relative as well as subjective. Skills are different, and access to the sweet part of the UK differs. That's just it. One should just do his thing and if you receive whip or fat brown envelope there, glory be to God. lrman: |
IJEYdiamond:That is why they are afraid and fighting tooth and nail not to lose their hegemony and world dominance to the EAST...because when they do, they know they will receive shege pro max. |
AntiChristian:Adultery! You have your answer, people! Easy as ABC. |
No. I don't have time. There is opportunity, but I am not wired that way sha. Earning in dollars/pounds gives me a better orgasm. Can't divide my attention. I may go for one yanriyan if my wife is seriously misbehaving...but for now, except I want to play with you as a fine babe...talk, flirt...all these if I am in the mood...but I love myself and care more about what Nigeria is painting before my face to be spending unnecessarily on an unsafe pu.ssy. If you are a virgin I may consider you. Still, I uphold my moral integrity more. Nothing dey there. You can only be tempted if you want to. For your info, I am in an environment where you see all kinds of bum bum, beautiful and the worst daily... No time, money must be made. |
olumidedvd:Go for Grey finance. |
nohitch:Are you asking us that question, sir? Na you know how deep your pocket is...do you still want to bam bam with the big boys or do God go pick my call? ![]() |
The person above me still don't get it... ![]() When we give facts and reality to some people about the country, they react angrily. That's why people who could have saved it keep quiet in the country and just look una. If you like, shout till tomorrow...what made Naira jumped from 0.5 to 1650 won't stop until it is addressed once and for all. "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock..." The council is still with us... I rest my case. |
jayce232:Transport, fuel, food, and electricity, have some connections. If there is good transport system to convey agro produce, electricity (people spend fuel on what they shouldn't to run business), it will reduce cost. PMS is a strong strand in our economy that if you pull it, it affects most things... That is why I mentioned the 250 billion dollars used to defend the naira till 2014. If it were channelled to those things, removing subsidy wouldn't affect Nigeria much. This shows you did not read the earlier screenshots I posted. And about an intelligent man...good, but what use is an intelligent man told to use a broken system? Even the intelligent man will call for a new tool to work with so that his intelligence can bring out his glory and dexterity. Ever heard a proverb that one rich man among thousands of pauper is a pauper himself? A man who has the know-how but is surrounded by idiots will be impotent in his performance and frustrated. If he calls for a change of system and 10000 idiats say No, what will he do? Idiats can easily kill an intelligent man and no one will remember him for his intelligence. Perhaps in your view, you think Solomon was foolish when he said: I realized another thing, that in this world fast runners do not always win the races, and the brave do not always win the battles. The wise do not always earn a living, intelligent people do not always get rich, and capable people do not always rise to high positions. There is something else I saw, a good example of how wisdom is regarded in this world. 14 There was a little town without many people in it. A powerful king attacked it. He surrounded it and prepared to break through the walls. 15 Someone lived there who was poor, but so clever that he could have saved the town. But no one thought about him.[c] 16 I have always said that wisdom is better than strength, but no one thinks of the poor as wise or pays any attention to what they say. 17 It is better to listen to the quiet words of someone wise than to the shouts of a ruler at a council of fools. Na experience. Nigeria has the council bolded Wise men. People who could have saved it But council is more than....if you don't get it, forget about it. |
jayce232:If you like, bring Osinbajo there with all the prof, Nigeria will still continue in its trajectory. Pikin wey no read wan pass exam. While Dubai, Saudi, and Singapore were going to tutorials and studying overnight, Nigeria dey go nightclub spend on olosho, eat peppered snail and big odeku....come talk say lecturer wicked. I don't like talking about politics because people use emotions instead of facing reality. If the 60s structure were intact and improved, we wouldn't even discuss some things. How many megawatts of electricity will 250 billion dollars produce? How many sound public transport systems could be produced by that amount? Rail?Just those 2/3 things. Check the screenshot above. |
crazymommy:They were defending the naira with billions of dollars yearly... Check the screenshots. You have your answer. Now imagine what could have happened if this amount was channelled to proper infrastructure and productivity with good structure on ground. There is the answer there...and we have been living on subsidised currency, fuel, etc. Subsidy is not bad but it should not take a large chunk of what should be used for the upliftment of a nation. We need leaders with foresight and can do the right thing too. Both of them are failures APC and PDP.... Again, that is the answer in the screenshot.

Tribalism is small. I always laugh when Nigerians view it through the prism of tribalism as what is bedevilling the nation's progress. If that is it, then you know nothing about geopolitics and the nature of the world. A Jew will always think about his self-interest first, and you cannot separate people from their identity. If you want them to vote for you since you are not from their group, you have to pander to their ideals and worldview. It's like wanting Arewa to vote for you and you are saying you see nothing about rearing pigs in Kano; let's forget about our identity. Forgetting that Islam is the political currency of Arewa in Nigeria. Tribalism is not bad. What is tribalism? Tribalism is just loyalty to one's tribe. Full stop. And that is okay. And those who have not constructively used it in history either go extinct or bear dire consequences. I have no problem with an Arewa man preferring his people first before me. That's life. It is when we don't get what we want that we cry foul, but sometimes, stop to think, why? Well, he will prefer his own person because people are not comfortable with change. What Nigerians are actually calling tribalism is more of nepotism. And this goes beyond friends and family. Even people of another tribe. An Igbo man may prefer his Yoruba friend more for a position than his own Igbo brother because maybe they have some kind of shady history or something like that, even when he knows that he may not be capable for the job, and vice versa. So, the spectrum is broad. About Tinubu, @crazymommy, know that it is not only Yorubas who supported him. He also got votes from other geopolitical zones. Yes, some Yorubas may say they will vote for him because he is one of them, and they have the right to do so because he will make them feel among and have a sense of belonging to the Nigeria project. Others in the Yoruba circle may support him also because they have a better chance of getting contracts when they pander to his ethnic identity. Politics is all about self-interest...and the APC guys, Akpabio, etc., know that. There is not even a guarantee that if the other two candidates enter presidency, things won't turn this way or even worse. We can only say "maybe...maybe". I am not a time lord who can view different alternate realities. Nigeria's greatest mistake was Buhari (whoever reads, let him see the attached) because the damage done by him will take a miracle for any presidential candidate to reverse. Yes, the present one supported him, but politics again is about self-interest, and Buhari did bad. Nigeria's problem is not tribalism. It is the structure that does not work, which is used to run the country. When the engine is bad, even the car will shut down every two minutes along the road. Was there not "tribalism" (even though I don't like using it because it is a demeaning colonial construct) in the 60s in the regions, yet no one could come close to Awolowo's achievements? We should rather understand our differences rather than forget them. A properly defined and structured country along ethno-linguistic federalism in Nigeria should alleviate our problems. No good structure...nothing. Babel is chaos...let everyone know their place...then come together to negotiate what they want in the project. As "beautiful" as globalists are in Europe and America, opening up their world to us, there are some nucleus they will never allow you to touch if you are not part of them. The Jews will attest to it (I won't talk much). Nigeria's time bomb they have been shouting all these days has already exploded; now we are seeing the aftereffects. If you like put Obi there, Atiku o, another one wey better, nothing will work because the devils that are feeding from the dysfunctioned system are gatekeepers and they can fight to the death to keep it that way. They are principalities of another order who are men. See how ordinary fuel turn to soap opera. Upgrade the lock and security systems if you want less break-ins. They know what to do; they just don't want to. Cc.Superpack589

KemoSabe:Estate with fibre...I dey talk with top gee....bro, help our ministry. ![]() Actually, not many people earn in $$$...and people actually wanted an affordable unlimited internet, but T-Pain no dey gree with the Naira devaluation, etc. That's why some are giving up. I mentioned earlier why I didn't go for Starlink, after calculating the overall cost and maintenance. Now, price increase in naira came; the straw that broke the camel's back for some. |
KemoSabe:It came as a result of Starlink's price increase... |
twosquare:My speed this morning.
|
morikee:At this rate, you will need to carry sacrifice to appease the elders... ![]() I don't know if Glo has similar plans since you said it is fast in your area. |
morikee:What a ping...please try the rooftop. |
morikee:You may need to try the rooftop with your ODU...height may do the trick. |
DAramis: ![]() |
morikee:The network issue is from that area then. I once experienced it with where I was living before things improved after a year or so. You may need to try the rooftop. How is DSTV/GOTV reception there? |
morikee:That's weird though. I tested something this morning...my speed was around 2MBPs, using WIFI connection. So, I switched to Ethernet cable (the yellow cable) to connect, and it jumped to 35mbps before settling at 22mbps. You also may want to try it if you have a laptop. Something must be blocking the network in that your area... |
morikee:Contact them on X and explain. They will try and rectify it. I am not sure if you have an Airtel sim for android normal normal, make you test it with Speedtest to even know how strong the network truly is. YOu may have to get ODU or just return their thing entirely. |
morikee:Try 4g only and reboot from the router page, but change location. I suggest the window, but let it face outside. Also, it is already on 4g only, change to 5g nsa/4g, and repeat the process...if it persists, contact them on X, and they will work on it. I have one spot in my kitchen with full reception...full bars with green light that does not produce a byte to browse....whereas a place with 2 bars with blue light gives 18mbps. That's it. |
morikee:Perhaps your location. I have been enjoying mine since I bought it. And speed is very much okay. All I do is to locate a sweet spot in my house and it is done. Good all through the day. Try to find it in your house, unexpected places. |
purplekayc:Not close, in that it is capped. MTN stingy die now...the same 20k that is unlimited on Airtel, for MTN is capped at 150gig...then when you exhaust it, you will be given 5 gig daily (no rollovers) for 30 days. So, comparison no dey at all. MTN which is meant to lead the pack is the one behind. It is behind in innovation now...who thought Airtel will offer something like that. They just need a bit of a push and they will take over ISP in Nigeria. My submission. |
themanderon:Why return to something that won't benefit the political class?...this present system benefits them more for their corruption. Easy to hide under Abuja than put in the work in a regional system. One bloc started it to benefit themselves but lost out in the power tussle. The beneficiary who once rioted because of it gained the system and said wait o, this will benefit us more and refused to let go. It is a case of the goat taking the bread from the child...the goat won't leave the bread alone afterwards but will run away with it. |
Ironsi already abrogated the resources of all the regions to the centre, thereby ending the regional autonomy. It is called unification decree for a reason. Gowon acted on what was on ground already. "It was the decree that started the death of regionalism....General Gowon further compounded it by promulgating the Decree 14 of 1967 which broke Nigeria into 12 states and provided military governors for each state. With decrees 34, 8 and 14 regionalism was finally buried" https://guardian.ng/opinion/history-and-the-future-of-decree-34-of-1966/ So, trying to pander to the feelings of your host or so is dishonest. When you have taken all the resources to the centre, what remains? Aguiyi Ironsi abolished regionalism and resource control...Gowon, out of necessity due to Ojukwu's rebellion, further buried it by breaking it up into 12 states.
