frndfghtr: I am an okada man, operating from Orile to Cele bustop highway, I came across a woman lying lifeless on the road, people gathered around her, no one to rescue her or to take her to hospital, all her cloth was stained with blood, I called some people and they put the woman on my bike, we rushed her to primus hospital ijesha, where the doctor were very rude and requested for card money which one woman transferred 3k to the doctor.
Later the doctor rejected the patient and ordered me to take the woman out of their hospital, that the injury is too much, unknowingly to me all the people that followed me down to the hospital have ran away, I refused to take the woman away, the doctor and the held me hostage in the hospital and called ijesha police for me, they came and Seized my okada, insisting that I will take the woman to LUTH hospital by all means, failing to do so I will be held responsible for anything that happen to the woman.
They started making fun of me by calling me, GOOD SAMERITAN, HERO, HELPER , THAT CANT HELP HIMSELF, that is why will i carry whom i don't know on the way to hospital?
I started crying, luckily to me another good sameritan showed, this one is KEKE MARUWA rider, he encouraged me, full of confidence, that he will support me let's take the woman to LUTH hospital with his kekemaruwa.
For complete 5 hours this woman was seriously bleeding, From 8pm I brought her to the useless hospital till 1am Early morning, that was when the Keke man showed, the police refused to assist with their so called TOLL FREE PATROL VEHICLE, I called 911they answer but not show up, me And the keke man now took the woman to the LUTH hospital around 1am with a police report, KUDOS TO LUTH hospital, they rushed the woman to emergency and commenced surgery immediately, me and the Keke man spent like 10k for the drugs and other things that night, in the LUTH.
To the glory of almighty Lord, she is recovering, and the family have come, I be taking back my okada, from the police.
If you were my younger one I will give you a big slap. What sort of question is that? Like... For real?.. You are asking?
drlance: She kept lying about this guy who happened to be a medical doctor, I am unemployed but sell phone accessories and do mini importation on the side but doing my Masters.
It happened that one time she told me she was to travel to Asaba to meet her family members, on hearing this I was happy and looked forward to talking to them.
After spending the night at my place I put her in a bus to Asaba, she didn't pick my calls till the next day.
The next day she posted an outing pic of herself in an eatery I didn't see it as anything but it's the next one that broke me.
A guy took a picture of her with her phone while backing a glass door so I could take that he wore a blue shirt I called that day and when I asked playfully to talk to the family members she asked me "what kind of talk is that ?"
Not long from then I got tagged in a picture on her wall on Facebook, low and behold it was a selfie of her and the Medical doctor in blue shirt and the caption "I love you forever, my personal person" someone she said I shouldn't worry about but he is asking her out, that she knew months before meeting me. She was supposed to be away for 2 days and ended up coming back after a week.
On seeing this I called to demand for an explanation if they were related, she sighed cut the phone on me and didn't pick my calls ever again.
She left me for a Medical Doctor!!
One month later now she calls me out of the blue to ask for 2k to buy foodstuffs. Which I gave without saying a word.
Fast forward to today I got a job with the government and relocated to Abuja.
She called me later shedding crocodile tears and begging for me back.
People of Nairaland, what would you have me do? What will you do if you were in my shoes? It's not my fault she didn't see the bigger picture.
She isn't the first woman that has left me for a better person.

There are a lot of opportunities outside Nigeria for people with a 1st class or 2:1. A whole lot of scholarships for postgraduate studies abroad. I even got an offer for my 1st attempt.. Fully funded, 3000USD research grant, monthly stipends, flight and Visa are taken care of. Basically, I no dey pay shi shi... It's really sad that, we don't utilize such golden opportunities.. Well, I understand that the internet is saturated with lot of information both fake and real, and it is quiet difficult to filter out the genuine ever since the emergence and the popularity of blogging. Elejire2014: Fellow Nigerian students and fellow Nigerians. My name is Adigun Mojibade Nusirat an Ex student of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Ago Iwoye.
I enrolled for diploma programme in 2005/2006 session which I was admitted for 2 years programme which I finished in 2008 all dues fully paid and receipts intact.
I got my notification of result the same year I finished and it was converted to certificate few years after.
The same result was used to pursue my degree in Tai solairin university (TASUED) in year 2011 which I finished in 2014.
Presently I am trying to pursuit my master's to better my career opportunity.
On 7/12/2017 I requested for my transcript in both schools which I got the one for TASUED same day within few hours but reverse is the case with OOU, up till now I have not gotten it. I have travelled more than 20 different occasions after which I involved 2 different counsel with different letters written to the school (all acknowledgement intact).
I was asked to pay #51,000 for the transcript which I did same day as I speak today 05/11/2019 I have spent over #600,000 on it and nothing positive has come out.
The school authorities said the WHOLE SESSION RECORDS CAN NOT BE FOUND I make an official report to VC and DVC with different letters (acknowledgement copies intact)
I did a programme of 2years just 4 semesters and it's taken another 2years to get my transcript, I have forfeited 4 admissions due to non Challant and negligence of the school because I couldn't convert my certificate.
I implore those in authorities at different levels to come to my aid to make my dream come true, as we all know that education is the key to success.

Permit me to say sir, Bayelsa is a great State but sincerely, no Governor can solve Bayelsa State problem for now. The structure of Bayelsa State is faulty. The mindset of the people is another problem. A State where an estimate of 95%+ are Civil servants and the Gov. solely depends on Federal allocation to pay salaries and to run one or two projects. I really don't see any positive result in the nearest future. A State where almost every graduate wants to be a politician but they end up being used and dumped by the oga them in power.
Even if Lyon wins the problem will persist.. And I wish he does anyways.

I will go for the scholarship if i were you and go for the PhD later... unless Australia is giving you scholarship for the masters too... the only issue you may have in PNG is facial beauty

I was offered admission at CDU, Deakin University and Flinders University to study Masters of Data Science, Masters of Data Science and Masters of physics respectively in Feb 2020. I am interested in obtaining a PR after studies, so I intend to choose CDU since it's a regional Uni and it's offers my preferred program of interest. Although, Data scientists is not in the skilled occupation list but I can nominate; Database Administrator or ICT Business Analysts since it is closely related to Data science as reviewed in the course content at CDU.
Just last week, I was offered a fully funded Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship to study a two years M.Tech in Explorational Geophysics at Papua New Guinea University of Tech. to resume same Feb 2020. (I'm not too comfortable with the country because it's still a developing country).
Now I'm confuse.. Should I go for the scholarship and then apply for my PhD in Australia after my M.Sc since Papua New guinea is close to Australia or I should just go to Australia since I have the funds for my M.Sc program?
Please I need a swift response. I have just few weeks to accept or reject my offers.. This is a life time decision.. Please, a good advice will do me good. God bless anyone willing to help.
