I'm just here to lift up your spirit. Try your best in this journey, because at the other side of winning you will have so much options. I got MEng admission in 2019, got refused two times before I finally got the visa in 2020. Since MEng is costly than MSc without scholarship opportunities even, I told myself I will try hard to be transferred to MSc within the first term no matter how hard it will be. Although I paid the first instalment for MEng but today I have been successfully transferred to MSc and now I can apply to several scholarships.
If you're giving up already please don't because there are many benefits in Canada to enjoy o. |

It is required for those travelling from Nigeria and some other countries. I got mine yesterday. Do you know the exact maximum checked in weight please? Did you need a covid test before boarding or being admitted into Hamad (Doha) Airport for transiting/stopover? |

Thank you. I am in a confused state now Chocs: Hello UBCcookies,
I think there’s only 1 lab in delta with covid testing (delta mobile laboratory associated with Irrua specialist) it’s a government one so I don’t know if they do tests privately or just for suspected cases. If you know anyone, you can ask them.
Alternatively, if your flight is from Lagos, Abuja or the likes, you can travel earlier and get the test done. There are many private labs.
Best wishes |

I have put it here many times that we should all create a group but no response OseCode: I'll be attending Douglas College which is also in British Columbia (New Westminster). Doesn't seem like there are a lot of Nigerians in that province. I hope to travel by month end and will start making plans once I receive my passport this week hopefully. Feel free to reach out. |

Hi jpepper, I'll be also going to UBC let's connect jpepper: Hello people,
@justmellow @frankbonn @lekkiboboe For those that have made travel plans, Is it true that IRCC now requires that we show proof of funds at the point of entry? Please see the information in the screenshot below from UBC, looks like we have to provide the banks statement that we used to apply and a new one, how true is this? I also saw similar information on IRCC(second snapshot) but IRCC just says “you must show proof of funds” they did not request for 30days statement or any specifics. My question is : will it be sufficient to show them the same bank stmt that i submitted when i applied? |

I don't know why I keep seeing here that if you're a bit old you should present your personal bank statement. I am in my late 20's and the only bank statement I uploaded was my dad's. This visa application is all about PROVING your case. |

Please I'm a bit confused with this covid readiness plan. Is it one's DLI that will give you even if you plan to quarantine in your apartment not in school's accommodation?
And what is the minimum pof ( maybe cash) one can pass the border with?
As I am going to BC must I land in an airport in BC? What if I decide to go through Toronto then to Kelowna because it's likely cheaper that flying to Vancouver? Please help me figure it out abeg this is my first time
Where can we get the lists of prohibited foods to carry? Una thank you |
