Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by ubigurl: 12:59pm On Oct 29, 2019
Good day please I sent you a message, I need your urgent attention. I got a conditional offer at the university of bedfordshire for undergraduate nursing but was told I can't come with my kids for an undergraduate program and I intend to apply for the msc in nursing but my fear is, can I stay back and work in the hospital like a RN would with the certificate?
eiete:

You're very right. At the end of the day when you Qualify as a Nurse, they are only going to be looking at your Pin not what University you attended or what grade you graduated with.
I am currently doing my MSc. in Adult Nursing at University of Bedfordshire and there is nothing wrong with the university. It's up to one as a student to put in the hard work to produce good results.

Yes I did, I sent a mail to them to notify them before I left I even showed the mail at my point of entry but the thing is I can't find the mail again in my email could only find the second one I sent in 2016 when I went to have my second child. My first degree is in chemistry but the accelerated nursing program specifically designed for students who already have a bachelor's degree in another field. Also known as second degree nursing programs, accelerated programs
LagosismyHome:

Is your first degree in nursing ?...

also did you later inform the embassy that you were going to have a baby?.... if u didn't that's the misrepresentation

My bros/sis I do not have any reason what so ever to lie to any body, we obviously do not even know each other. That's what it is, went in Feb 2014 for vacation and went again in Feb 2015 and had the baby in April 2015 that's more than a year. Thank you

Kk I got my visa in January 2014 and traveled on February 2014 for the two weeks vacation then went again in February 2015 to have my son over a year later
In fact after applying for a drop box then I was called for and interview and was asked why I traveled to the and I told them before I was given my present visa, I was just confused when she threw that question at me again. And going for the associate degree, nope that's not the case I'm only going for prerequisites at the college then proceed for my masters it's in the same school and that is the only way to go about it its an accelerated-nursing-program have a family friend that did it and succeeded

walex57:

So from your response I see a couple of things that may have come out as red flags to the VO.
1. you got your B1/B2 visa in January 2014, the question now to answer is when in 2014 did you travel initially for your two weeks vacation, was it in January 2014? did you conceive before travelling in 2014, what was the duration between when you traveled in 2014 and your second trip in 2015. Pregnancy is 9 months, if the space was less than 9 months, then it's a no brainer!

Again I'm certain this sermon has been preached times without number on here that the embassy frowns at BSc holders going for associates! it's like trying to carry water with a basket.

My advice is to reapply for a Masters program. don't rush. Your info is already in their system. before you argue or explain to the VO, ask yourself sincerely the questions I've asked above and be ready with a convincing answer should it arise again. But if your mind is gingering you to reapply immediately, take your best case and confidence forward. I wish you the very best.

My interview was short and brief it was a black American woman, the moment I came forward greeted her and she did not reply me and was like that's fine and smiled hmmmm I was asked why I misrepresented when I came for a B1/B2 visa In 2014 that I told them I was going on a 2 weeks vacation with my husband but ended going to have my baby instead, I was SHOCKED AT FIRST!!! Because that's not true I had my visa in 2014 January and traveled for two week with my husband that same year then traveled again in 2015 to have my child and I tried explaining to her but she kept shutting me down and also asked me why I was going for an associate degree instead of a masters and I told her I was actually going for a masters but need to get prerequisites from the college to enable go for the accelerated masters program in nursing she shut me down again, I wasn't given the opportunity to explain myself for that reason my visa was denied!!! We just reapplied but could only get a date in Abuja.
Porpor:
Except you are certain why your previous application was denied and has taken the necessary steps to address the lapse(s), don't reapply in a hurry until you have carried a postmortem of your last outing. You may like to post your interview transcript for reviews. Regards.

I’m in a similar situation. So I feel you on this. I would say it depends on the overall strength of your application and interview. For example, can you share a very strong career reason why you are going for this course? How relevant is the program you are enrolling for? Do you have funding? My 2 cents is pray, fill your form well and prepare for your interview.

Mine is more complicated as my spouse is filing for F2 and our children are USCs . We are really not trying to migrate at all. My program is competitive and I have full funding. Just want to go for 1 year and be back. Praying for favour.
wow same as mine he is filling for f2 too but he will hardly be there because of work and I'm planning on studying nursing

goodmorning fam, please and please i got admission and working on my visa interview and i need to work on my home ties,i have two kids that were born in the USA im considering telling the VO that intend leaving them behind and they can always visit when they are on break,do you think its strong enough for a home tie? and my husband will stay back too because of work.(even if we change our minds tomorrow it wont be an issue because they already hav their us passport and wont need the f2 visa). We also plan on taking some documents of the landed properties we have just to show the strong ties at home,is it also strong enough?

Thank you soo much have been reading about the accelerated nursing programs, never knew such existed
hansmond93:

From what I have read here, conversion from B1/B2 visa is a tough prospect so I think traveling with your B1 then changing to F1 over in the states might not be an option.

Going for Msc with that cgpa should be possible but Assistantship may not be possible with that cgpa but u may write GRE and ace it well to increase ur chances of an Assistantship. Taking care of two children, Msc + Assistantship duties won't be a an easy task if u wanna get good grades.

Since u already have a BSc in Chemistry and u are interested in Nursing, I would advice you go for an accelerated nursing degree in the Usa. They allow you into the program with a Bsc degree then u complete like 4 semesters or more to get a Bachelors nursing degree. Not all schools offer it but u have to Google and check requirements for accelerated nursing degree in those schools. I think you should be able to defend the reason you are goin for an accelerated nursing program at the embassy as chemistry is a research course and nt a career course like nursing that will boost your job/career prospects.
I know Truman state university has an accelerated degree program in nursing but u have to read info thoroughly on their web page, mail and call them to fully understand the process. Understanding the info about their accelerated nursing degree is a bit tough, I am trying to do the same for my sister with a kid also.

But pls research other schools that offer accelerated nursing as their process might be easier than Truman state's own.

Concerning Assistantships, it's virtually impossible, but scholarships might be an option but I would erase that cuz of ur cgpa.
I hope gurus in the house would contribute and give you other options.
All the best ma'am!!!

Goodmorning beautiful people ,i love the work you guys are doing here thanks and God bless. Please i am confused and need the best suggessions ,please dont read my post and pass without helping. I am a mum of two toddlers 4 and 3 years old and we have a running b1/b2 vis a and plan to further my studies in the usa ,i have a bachelors degree in chemistry from a nigerian university with a gpa of 2.6/5.0 .My initially plan was to go for my masters in chemistry but i feel it will be very tasking and almost impossible running a masters with 2 kids all by myself and the possibility of getting a good paying job is not that high and someone suggested my going for my PHD after my masters,im not sure i want to spend that long schooling,my second option is to go apply to a community college for a chemistry programme (just to get a an f1 visa at the embassy),or do i just get to the us and then get a school and apply for a f1 visa instead of passing through all the hurdles in nigeria embassy then when i get to the usa i change it to nursing (run a 2 year programme in nursing ) and upgrade my RN to BSN with time. I still dont know if this is a better option for me and please what are the best ways to get assistantship for this programmes. please help me out.

Good morning all, I'm new to this group and hope to school in the USA but I'm a bit confused on the course to study but I am looking at any course related to computer science but I had my first degree in chemistry and GPA was quite low about 2.3/5.0 I don't if it's OK? Please I also need suggestions of universities in the USA that is best to study this course. I am married with kids that are us citizens but the thing is my husband will be my sponsor but doesn't want to relocate just yet because of work so it's me and the kids I dont even know how we will both cope but I need to go and study and better myself I need to know I'm not alone. We don't have any state in mind and we don't really have families in d state. Hoping to go before September, what are the steps to take? What should I consider before applying? Please help me and don't mind my long write up?

Did you get an affordable hospital n doctor In Austin tx, kindly share.
. Delivery: 1200 for Dr. Maradani  .   Hospital and anesthesiologist will be billing you separately for their services.

Visits are $60/ each .   I am anticipating about six visits.
You will need an ultrasound for growth to access the size of the baby to see if normal delivery is viable at a cost of $100.

We may have to order a lab to get your values assessed by a local  lab which might be around 100$.
The final determination is available only after Dr. Maradani assesses you on the first visit.

just put to bed over the weekend and my bill was about 6.3k. My doc was 2k. V.birth no epidural.

but truth is am staying with family. Most I spent was. About 200d for few taxi trips for shopping wen I had no free ride and a few meals outside. So my expenses was very limited.
if your budget can carry it, u may not exceed 15k in total.

staying alone wasn't an option and I don't regret it cos I have a fantastic support system here and sake for an unplanned expense that occurred we wld still being within our target
