Technically, he was still within the buyer protection period. The item was purchased on Friday evening, I am sure that the shop does not open for business on a Sunday. Me thinks that the buyer returned the item within the 48 hours window. Was these clause clearly stated on the receipt issued to the buyer? There has to be some loopholes to take advantage of. Anyways, please continue o, the suspense no be here. |

OE0705: Please stop dragging people on this thread, let those who are not in genuine situations for help be, after all the givers hands shall always be above. Those who really gave/give don't make the loudest noise. They just give and shot their eyes. For me on this thread i thought it wasn't a bad thing to seek for help in dire situations like this, but I was wrong! If the tides were turned I probably be one of the givers and let God be the judge. Uboma u should just let them be, just do your bit and if u can't do anything sake of some of your perceived reasons, you should not try to prove some cheap points. Hmmmm! |

graciamore: Uboma some of your words made me shade tears this evening sha,but u know what am a strong woman Ohh.my story long- sha is it marriage or family? For everyone going through real life hardship mayGod intervene.. For every woman woman in loveless marriage staying strong for kids and trusting you God for a change may God intervene... Shallom Your comment justifying your habit of begging prompted me to criticize you. It is okay to beg once or twice when there is the need but when it becomes a norm, it is not good. Using your kids to ask for alms/claiming your husband isn't taking care of you is no excuse to keep begging for alms. Where is your dignity? If you are in a loveless marriage, why not call it quits and move on with your life. The more you keep bearing children in a loveless marriage, the more problems you create for yourself. |

SweetCunt97: Mr it's OK. I know people who struggle for years before standing on their feet. That you lucky to stand shouldn't make you forget. Simply let her be. Not everyone who has an "husband" is well taken care of. My only chagrin with her is allowing herself pregnant when dey don't have. Your comment is trash. You obviously did not follow through with our discussion concerning her. Do not be quick to jump to conclusions. Since 2017, she has been begging for alms. Her husband cannot take care of her, she too has resorted to begging for alms since then. |

Hmm it is well I attached a screenshot. Go back and read. Asking for past questions to enable you prepare for a job test/interview is not what we are discussing here. |

tot: Doing so speaks volumes. In any case, the reference is there as it was quoted.
I believe in helping people when they need to get on their feet, what I do not support is adopting that as a lifestyle. I have become very skeptical with Nairaland now. After separate incidents of assisting people and then in another thread you see them begging, or they come back to you for more. It's just bad. Exactly! But some persons have taken up begging as a career and they are proud to talk about it. Such persons will go on to create multiple monikers to continue to deceive unsuspecting members. |

litigator: It is settled law that once a public officer ultra vires his/her statutory duties, he/she can no longer take cover under the relevant Public Officer Protection Act/Laws.
We as masses can therefore come together and start filing actions against erring members of the force in their official and personal capacity.
Once we get judgement, we can go after their pension contributions, salary account and other official remuneration inclusive of their personal properties.
This will send a very strong message to them. We need to wake up, stand up and fight for our right.
Social media campaign is no longer working. Class actions and mass actions will send a very strong message.
Cc: uboma I agree with you. |

litigator: Wow! This is serious and I empathize with you.
Some bad eggs in the Nigeria Police Force will never learn. They keep soiling the name of the force with their greed and unethical behaviour.
This is no longer news, but there are laws in this country and we must ensure those laws are implemented one way or another.
However, I must commend your intellect. You have done a deligent job. It's obvious you were unnecessarily extorted and humiliated, which ought not to be the case.
From your story, it appears you are not pained about the funds those unscrupulous elements fraudulently obtained from you per say, but you are pained by the fact that they humiliated you and extorted you for no just cause.
Tag me @ mr_powei, @ segalink, @malachy_odo1, and @onlinebar.
We will see what we can do to ensure you get justice.
Sanity will return to the system when we learn to fight for our right and ensure justice is done.
I commend your effort.
But it's quite funny that members of the Nigeria Police mandated to investigate crime and criminalities don't know the difference between contraceptive and abortion drugs. Na wah.
Yahooze self dey NPF and na there e for many pass.
The govt won't weed them out for us. Since we are their employer and our taxes pay their salaries, we must ensure we sanitize the system by ourself and with our own hands. Thank you very much. You are always ready to extend a helping hand... The op should heed these. |

OE0705: I am taking this time out to thank everyone who has in one or two ways helped my course. miarose your help went a long way in getting A baby cot The baby's wear for the naming ceremony. Some baby essentials. Thanks again. Nothing is too small. I recall that when you first created this thread, you only asked for the support to get the basics needed for the delivery of your unborn child. Now you have gone a step ahead to mention 'naming ceremony'. In another post of yours, you indicated that it will be your first child, hence the need to do a naming ceremony no matter how small (to be attended by 15 persons). My position is that as you cannot afford it for now, why not forget about the naming ceremony? It is not mandatory, is it? Now that you have gotten the basics for the delivery of your child and some 'other stuff after birth', how long do you want to carry on with asking for alms? I am interested in finding out your husband's position in all of these. You mentioned that the last time you/husband had an income was in February and because of the covid-19 pandemic, you depleted your savings. So many persons got affected badly because of the covid-19 pandemic but are gradually picking up even though at a slow rate. What exactly is the occupation of your husband? What efforts has he put in since February to pick up his life again? What is the plan now? Or is it that after child birth, you plan to continue asking for alms? Have you no family members who can support you? Have you approached your Church for support? |

OE0705: Dear Nairalanders, My fears are getting real, things are so tight down here, I am a first time expectant mom, my estimated time of delivery is just around this month end. We do not have or know someone whose job/finances isn't affected badly during this mess of a virus. We are scared but by your God's help through you, we will scale through, and not be put to shame. It's not that we(hubby and I) didn't plan for our baby, in fact we had already saved quite a handful of cash to help buy the needed items both at home and at the hospital, but we couldn't hold on to the savings for long as we used in running the home since the lockdown hoping we would resume back to work soon enough before the due date. Our jobs have been seriously affected that the last time we had an income was in February. We initially opted for a private clinic ante-natal and delivery, but because we are low on cash at the Mo, we decided to use the public hospital hoping to cut down the cost, but the hospital list we got is so much and even very compulsory to buy everything on the list else we wouldn't be attended to. Please I can prove anything you want to know about my state, anything you can help out with will really go a long way. Even if you decide to meet up physical to ascertain the situation we wouldn't mind. Please help a fist time couple. Ejo ni toriolorun.
