Politics / Secondus Calls Out Buhari, Yakubu, Military Chief, In A Grand Design To Destroy by UcheSecondus: 5:51pm On Mar 22, 2019
Secondus calls Out Buhari, Yakubu, Military Chief, In A Grand Design To Destroy Rivers

.........says Amaechi a willing tool .

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has called out President Muhammadu Buhari, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu and the military chief for their central roles in a grand design to destroy Rivers state if they fail to have their way electorally.

Prince Secondus said that having failed in a nefarious plan to hijack power in the state using all anti democratic means, Prof Yakubu and the military chiefs have now yielded to the design of stretching the state electoral problems until there is total breakdown of law and order.

The National Chairman said in a statement from his media office that the wicked plan is to stretch the endurance limit of the people, break their capacity to defend democracy so that when they react, they will find reason to kill them and declare a state of emergency.

Prince Secondus said that Prof Yakubu has chosen to keep shifting the completion of collation of election results in the state as part of a bigger plot that will enable the APC faction go to court, create more confusion that would linger until swearing in for a constitutional logjam to frustrate PDP out for the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi who is a willing tool in the destruction of the state.

The National Chairman noted that this is part of a grand plan of the cabals to create division among brothers in the guise of helping one of the parties when the real agenda is to have the opportunity to plunge and hijack the abundant hydrocarbon industry of the region.

"Nothing underscores this heinous act more than Prof Yakubu choosing to shift completion of collation results to April 2 that is over 20 days after the March 9, when the election was supposed to have been concluded.

Rivers state which is the economic hub of the Niger Delta region and the nation's headquarters of hydrocarbon industry has been held down since March 9 when the military invaded the state collation center ostensibly to protect the interest of a faction of APC that had no candidate in the election

The National Chairman explained that what is going on in Rivers is a clear show of might from a people that have no interest of the state at heart, it does not matter to them if the state is destroyed protecting the interest of one man whose candidate is not on the ballot.

"What they actually desire is to pull all Niger Deltans to the creeks and let the power monger cabals at the Villa over ran the place and hijack the hydrocarbon industry of the region.

According to Prince Secondus, some credible intelligence available to the party shows that the long stretch of the electoral process in the state is part of a larger arrangement by the federal government and their critical agencies that include the military ùsing Prof Yakubu to punish the state for the APC's self inflicted problem that deprived them of having candidates in the elections in the state.

"The shift is deliberate and intended to help APC regroup for further onslaught on the people, all in the agenda of hijacking power by hook or crook in Rivers state.

The National Chairman said that the agenda of all these is clear, to provoke the people, stretch their patience to react and plunge the state into chaos so that they would find reason to declare the state ungovernable and appoint an agent of the Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi to over see the state as they try to create constitutional power vacuum in the state.

Prince Secondus calls on President Muhammadu Buhari to note that what is going on in Rivers state which has his in prints has a larger consequences to the democracy and national cohesion stressing that a region of the country that produces the wealth of the nation deserves a better treatment than they are getting.

"The will of the people is sacrosanct and anybody trying to thwart it should be ready for the repercussions from God.

The PDP boss calls on prominent Nigerians and international community to speak out in condemnation of the arrogance of power being displayed on the people for taking a free position guaranteed them by law.

Prince Secondus finally warns that what is happening in Rivers and other opposition strong holds across the country today has far reaching consequences capable of engulfing the entire country and truncating democracy in the country.

........says 'inconclusive' is INEC rigging terminology

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has called on the military not to allow themselves be called out again for an illegal duties.

Prince Secondus said that at the rerun election this Saturday, the military and other security agencies should resist any attempt to be dragged into election manipulations.

The National Chairman said that military institution in Nigeria is highly regarded and it's their responsibility to guide their names jealously and prevent.

According to a statement from his media office, the National Chairman, said that the inconclusive terminology is a rigging strategy introduced by the Independent National Electoral Commission to aide the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

He said that PDP is certain to get victory in the rerun in at least five of the six states as he warned the inec and the security agencies to stay clear.

Prince Secondus reminded the inec Chairman Prof Yakubu that he will be personally held responsible for the consequence s of all his actions.

The Vice Presidential candidate Peter Obi in his own remarks feels that while inec and security agencies should be knocked for their actions, more shame should go to the persons who are directing them.

Obi said that the worst form of corruption is election rigging because the process of coming into power is far more important that what is done thereafter.

The Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker House Representatives Hon. Dogora all urged members of the party to remain steadfast and not despair as their victory must be restored at the court.

Politics / PDP Wants INEC Chairman To Rescue Situation In South-south, Oyo And Kano States. by UcheSecondus: 4:32pm On Mar 10, 2019
.....says Police pushed out by the military in Rivers state.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to quickly intervene in what is going on the South-South region before it turns into a full-blown war zone.

The Election Monitoring unit of the party after reviewing the activities of the military in the region and the blatant use of force on election officials and party agents calls on the INEC boss Prof Mahmood Yakubu to quickly save the situation and avert the deterioration into war.

According to a statement from the election monitoring unit, the military has hijacked all electoral functions from the statutory workers and taken over collation of results which is now relocated in barracks where even the Police could not access.

The statement said that the ugly story is the same in other parts of the country particularly in Oyo and Kano states where PDP is in a comfortable lead.

In Rivers state, the military has been so brutal and heartless as they harass and intimidate harmless electoral officers and party agents.

The group said that the brigandage shows clearly the desperation and lack of conscience of the ruling party and warns that if not checked it could have far-reaching consequences.

"No matter what it takes the will of the people must be restored otherwise we can bid bye to democracy and peace in this country.

The group particularly called on the international community to note the illegal use of force with the military operatives where civil security like the Police is totally edged out.

Politics / Ignore Intimidation Troop Out And Vote , Secondus Urges Nigerians by UcheSecondus: 3:14pm On Mar 08, 2019
......challenges military to seek constitutional amendment for full participation in partisan politics.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has urged Nigerians to troop out in large numbers on Saturday ignoring the clearly visible intimidation from the military and vote out bad government.

Prince Secondus said that if Nigerians fail to come out they would be playing the game of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who has turned the country's armed forces against her citizens to scare them away from exercising their civic responsibilitíes.

The National Chairman admonished the military who has shown more than passing interest in this general elections to seek constitutional amendment and get fully involved in the governance rather their continuous violation of the statutory rules of the land.

He said in a statement from his media office that the apparent usurpation of the roles of both INEC and the Police by the military has raised the bar of the electoral criminality of this administration.

Prince Secondus bemoans the damage being done to the country's military by their blatant and brazen involvement in partisan politics.

The PDP boss who obviously was mocking the leadership of the county's military particularly the army, remarked that given the excitement they have shown in their role of helping the ruling party to illegally win elections, he was advising them to seek seek legal backing to be formally involved in politics.

"It is scandalous and dangerous for the county's military to continue to ignore the cries of the people on the illicit roles of the military in the South South region notwithstanding that the highest court in the land, the Supreme Court has a standing ruling barring the military from participating in any way during the election.

But despite the provocative actions of the military ahead of Saturday's election particularly in the South South geopolitical area, Prince Secondus has this caveat for them, 'whatever you do in a democracy what prevails is peoples will power not gun.'

......And history is recording .

......You are planning with APC to takeover delta, Sokoto, Kaduna, Akwa Ibom, Kwara and Rivers

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has told the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that by conniving with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to thwart the will of Nigeria people they are piling gunpowder which when it explodes may leave the country in ruin.

Prince Secondus who led members of the National Working Commitee, NWC, other leaders and crowd of the party supporters in protest at the INEC's Maitama, Abuja headquarters on Tuesday told the Commission officials who came to receive their complaints, that they should not allow their action bring trouble in the country.

The National Chairman said that INEC's roles in Presidential and National Assembly role on February 23, fell short of the required standard and cannot stand any scrutiny.

In a statement from his media office, PRINCE Secondus told the commission that after 2015 peaceful and transparent election anybody conducting a charade in the name of election should know the implications of pilling a keg of gunpowder in one's house, when it explodes nobody will be free of the harm.

Prince Secondus said that after February 23 fraud the party is in possession of credible intelligence that some INEC officials are already working with the APC to again thwart the will of the people in Delta, Akwa Ibom, Sokoto, Rivers, Kwara and Kaduna states warning that the commission should know that every action has a consequences both to man and before God.

He said that the leadership of the PDP under his watch has the authority of members of the party across the country and in diaspora to leave no stone unturned until the stolen mandate of the party is recovered.

"The mood in the country shows clearly that you inec declared the wrong person winner in the Presidential election and I urge you to watch your action because history is recording all you do for posterity

"The APC is deploying military operatives to help some of your black legs manipulate Saturday's elections in some states particularly Kaduna, Delta, Sokoto, AKWA Ibom, Rivers and Kwara but Nigerians in those states have mobilized to defend their votes.

Three National Commissioners led by Mrs May Agbamuche received the PDP leaders and assured that the commission will look into the party's complaints.

As the leadership of the party talked outside the front gate of the Commission, the angry crowd poured courses on the INeC Chairman Prof Mahmood Yakubu and National Commissioner Amina Zakari as they chanted 'we want original result', 'INEC release original result', 'INEC declare Atiku winner' ' Yakubu there is God, Yakubu shame on you' etc.

The National Chairman who led the protest trekked about three kilometers from the party's legacy house campaign headquarters in Maitama to inec office and stood for about 30 minutes dancing the Atikulation music( campaign music theme of the party) before the commission official came out.

Politics / With Military APC Feels They Don't Need The People- Secondus by UcheSecondus: 5:58pm On Mar 04, 2019
....calls for immediate release of Atiku's two staff.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, of not needing Nigerians because they have the military might in a democracy.

Prince Secondus said that the value of Nigerians in a democracy has been diminished because President Muhammadu Buhari and his ruling APC, have chosen to use the military to get what Nigerian voters cannot give them.

The National Chairman who spoke while declaring open the expanded caucus meeting of the party at its Wadata Plaza headquarters on Monday, said that what obtains in the country today as witnessed on February 23, Presidential and National Assembly election is a full blown dictatorship.

He said in a statement from his media office that after using the military to kill and maim citizens of the South South region, and further suppress the people from exercising their civic duties, APC in connivance with officials of the independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and security agencies went ahead to manipulate the result of the voters.

Prince Secondus who berated the administration for their various electoral criminalities, called for immediate and unconditional release from incarceration, the two personal staff of the PDP , Presidential flag bearer Barr Uyi Giwa Osagie his lawyer and Alhaji Abdullahi Babalele his son- in-law who he called political prisoners.

The National Chairman wondered why Nigerian leaders are keeping quiet in the face of blatant abuse of human rights and electoral brigandage.

He reminded the Chairman of INEC Prof Mahmood Yakubu and members of the Electoral Commission as well as operatives of the military that are making themselves willing tools for APC that history is recording their activities and at the appropriate time they will answer for their deeds.

The PDP boss admonished both operatives of INEC and security agencies to be professional and leave politics for politicians.

The National Chairman charged members of the party across the country to stay strong pointing out that the stolen mandate must be returned to the party as there is no going back on the resolve to seek justice in the court.

Prince Secondus also spoke on the situation in Lagos state where PDP supporters were stopped from voting on February 23 Presidential poll and plans are still on to repeat the same obnoxious act on Saturday during the gubernatorial elections.

The expanded caucus meeting of the party is part of the consultations the leadership of the party has been embarking carrying on to update its members through the leaders, of the steps being taken to recover the mandate Nigerian people freely gave to the PDP Presidential candidate,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Politics / National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus Press Conference. by UcheSecondus: 6:12pm On Mar 01, 2019
APC's 'Body bag' Election

Gentlemen of the Press,

Recall in my last press conference I told you that we will be briefing you from time to time on developments from last Saturday's blatant rape on our democracy.
Our Presidential flag bearer in the election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar spoke with you on Wednesday and the National Publicity Secretary of our party has been interacting with you on daily basis.

I have therefore come to you again today in continuation of our unearthing the brigandage of last Saturday which I have tagged 'body bag election'
When All Progressives Congress, APC, leaders were threatening foreign election monitors with returning to their country on body bags we didn't know that they had designed the same thing for Nigerians.

As at the last count over 50 Nigerians have lost their lives last Saturday most of them from the South South region where a division of the army with their commander were turned on the people on the Election Day. For a regime that appears comfortable with blood, the deaths they recorded during their campaigns were not enough as after their contrived ballot box victory and stolen mandate, they still hired some hoodlums and sent them to the streets to go and kill themselves and further inconvenience the grieving Nigerians while celebrating their electoral robbery ( May I crave your indulgence gentlemen of the press for a minute silence for the repose of the souls of all Nigerians who were murdered on the Election Day including the poor youths who were lured with funds to go and die celebrating when the rest of the citizens were grieving.......May their souls and that of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen. They remain martyrs of democracy.

You can see that the nation has been in a sorrow mood for our democracy that was dragged down last Saturday, four years after the World stood up for Nigeria for not only conducting a flawless election but for going ahead in addition to have a seamless transition to an opposition party, but we all are seeing the direct beneficiary of that rare democratic disposition, General Muhammadu Buhari using the military to rob Nigerians of their right to choose leaders of their choice.
Effect of Militarization.

The clear effect of militarizing the election particularly in the South South and South East in addition to the killing of innocent electorates was the obvious suppression of voters who were either scared out or chased away. (Please see table)
Even by INEC own record voter turnout in last Saturday's election fell to about 36% from 44% it was in 2015.

Gentlemen of the press, you were in the field and witnessed the large turnout of Nigerian electorate in comparison to that of 2015.

The military were dragged into the election to suppress and scare away voters and facilitate rigging. That is how you hear ridiculously that war torn Borno and Yobe states recorded higher percentage in voter torn out than some states in the South South geo- political zone.

Shamelessly, they have again started mobilizing to use the same military to forcefully take over for APC two PDP states in the South South and one state in the South East. Credible intelligence available to the party showed that the ruling party's main link in INEC met with party's leadership as well as the military to review the planned strategy to take over these states.

Kano, Borno, Yobe and Zamfra fraud.
While the military was suppressing voters in PDP strong hold areas in the South, a different abracadabra was going on in some northern states particularly in Kano, Yobe, Borno and Zamfara states where numbers refuse to add up. In Borno, Yobe and Zamfara states confirmed report shows that there was non compliance in the use of Smart card reader as approved by INEC rules.
The backend Report from the card readers for the various local Government areas in these states will this further.

In these states as in others, the data is inconsistent with the accreditation of registered voters in the local Government Areas and voting patterns witnessed in 2015.

The same applies to cancelled votes, in Nasarawa states over 115,000votes cancelled, Kogi 79,000 votes, Plateau 30,000 votes indicating that these high incidence of vote cancellation were designed to suppress the margin of victory in PDP strong holds.

Strangulating the Opposition.
As part of their strategy to ensure that PDP is distracted from pursuing its stolen mandate, General Buhari's regime has decided to intensify their intimidation and strangulation of the opposition. Some prominent members of the opposition have been put on surveillance and their names listed to be stopped from traveling out of the country.

Gentlemen of the press, you can all see that we have arrived at the place we never bargained for, full blown dictatorship and this is where I urge you members of the press to stand up as you have always done against this emerging despotism in our land before we become a laughing stock in the global democracy family again.

As I end this press briefing, I present to you some graphs to buttress the broad day robbery of our votes, may I also through you gentlemen of the press urge our members and supporters across the country not to despair but to remain steadfast and focused because like our Presidential candidate assured, we shall triumph at the end because democracy has come to stay in this country and is staying by the grace of God.

I also wish to reiterate to our security agencies particularly the Army that they are not at war with any section of her citizens and they must try to be professional in their duties by staying away from election matters as directed by the Supreme Court of the land.

Once again may I assure you that through you we will continue to brief the country and indeed international community of the anti-democratic behaviors of the APC administration? Thanks for your audience.

Politics / Our Democracy Is Under Threat - Secondus by UcheSecondus: 6:49pm On Feb 25, 2019
Our Democracy is Under Threat

Protocols:

1. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is forced to take a stand and make the following pronouncements at this crucial point because our democracy is under threat of derailment.

2. Firstly, I want to categorically state that our collation centers have all original results from every polling unit, in every ward, in every Local Government Area (LGA) in Nigeria, of which the international community is well aware, implying all results currently being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is incorrect thus unacceptable to our party and people.

3. Secondly, officials of both President Buhari’s government and the All Progressive Congress (APC), working with INEC officers, have tried to alter the course of history and disenfranchise our people through the cancellation and manipulation of figures for results already announced at polling units, nationwide, in Local Government Areas (LGAs) where our party, the PDP, had commanding votes; this must now be resisted by every well meaning Nigerian.

4. Thirdly, the ruling party’s strategy has indeed been murderous, undignified, and disrespectful of the wishes of the electorate, our people and the international community who have been in solidarity with our nation as we attempt to strengthen our democracy and its institutions.

5. Fourthly, in full view of the watching world, and despite efforts by our great party and its agents to adhere to every laid down provision for the 2019 general elections, the APC in collusion with INEC have taken aggressive steps, mostly through inducements, manipulation and incarcerations, using the elements of state power including the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Army in particular, alongside other organizations including the Department of State Security (DSS) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to silence the voices of our long suffering people; this is disheartening, considering the terms of the Peace Accord, which called for impartiality and non-partisanship by members of our security organization with constitutional roles to play during this civic exercise.

6. Fifthly, as results trickled in on the Sunday, February 24th, 2019, clearly putting the PDP in the lead, the ruling party and President Buhari dispatched high-ranking officials to coercively influence outcomes in different geopolitical zones in the country. For example:

I. The minister of the interior, was dispatched to the North West of the country
II. The Secretary of the Government of the Federation was dispatched to the North East of the country; while the
III. The Attorney General and Minister were dispatched to the South East and South-South regions.

7. With the INEC IT server hacked by agents of the APC to manipulate results, we can with certainty state that results from the following polling units have, for example, been tampered with, note:

i. Sarkin Dawaki ward in Doma LGA – Nassarawa state
ii. Doka ward in Doma LGA – Nassarawa state
iii. Agyaragin – Tofa ward
iv. 10, 000 illegal votes added to already announced results in Wurno LGA in Sokoto state
v. Additionally, violent and destructive attacks have been meted out to officials while counting at Lafia St. and police barracks polling units.

8. As if these provocations are not enough, our agents and officials are constantly arrested and in many cases locked-up for complaining that Card Readers were not in use in many Northern states, implying that all results from the Northern part of the country where Card Readers were not used should be voided in accordance with INEC guidelines.

9. I also believe, the arrest of Eng. Buba Galadima, who has been a great symbol of what is courageous about our people goes to show that one man’s ambition is greater than our collective good, and most probably worth the blood of all Nigerians.

10. In that context, I call for Buba Galadima’s immediate and unconditional release, as well as that of all officials and agents of the PDP, in the Southwest, who were mostly arrested on the eve of the elections where intimidation became the APCs sole election strategy.

11. Despite these provocations, intimidation and attempts to hijack our democracy and change the course of history, I must, in fact, convey to our good people the fact that the PDP is on course to victory and the Presidency; therefore, remain resolute and steadfast, because our party shares in your uncertainty and suffering, which must decisively come to a good end for us all.

12. Finally, and once again, we appeal to the leadership of INEC to remain impartial and not become willing agents to disenfranchise our people and derail our democracy, because the world is watching, and history will indeed pass judgment.

In addition, to the international community; we welcome your support for our democracy and extend our gratitude with great hope for our democracy.

Politics / Peace Accord Flagrantly Violated Secondus Screams by UcheSecondus: 8:44pm On Feb 22, 2019
........says FG and APC have declared war on PDP on PDP leaders across the country

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has said that the peace accord signed by the two frontline Presidential candidates, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP. Is virtually dead.

Prince Secondus said that all the terms of the agreement for peace has been broken by the ruling APC who has deployed military and the Police operatives to arrest and detain PDP. leaders across the country.

The National Chairman said that the party expects the Peace Committee and the international community to note the declaration of war on PDP leaders across the country by over zealous security operatives specially raised for this purpose as they operate in violation of the peace accord.

The National Chairman said that the APC and President Buhari are not disposed for the peace as they have flagrantly violated the terms of the agreement.

Prince Secondus said in a statement from his media office that reports reaching him from Kwara, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Kano Kaduna and other states show that PDP leaders are being harassed with arrest and detention by security operatives on flimsy reasons.

He noted that while APC is using military and Police personnel to chase PDP leaders across the country, they continue to give protection to APC leaders as they ferry money and election materials to various locations.

"Private jets belonging to APC leader in Lagos have been stationed at the airports protected by government operatives as money is being moved from the Central bank of Nigeria, CBN, to states.

The PDP boss said that General Abdulsalmi Abubakar led peace committee should take copious notice of all the happenings and note that APC and President Buhari are not disposed to any peace accord.

Prince Secondus said that all the ingredients of peace have been disregarded by the APC operatives who have decided to even run foul of the Electoral Act in their desperation to cling on to power even when it's obvious that Nigerians have turned their back on them.

...Atiku, Secondus, Dogara,Sambo tell Northern 'takalawas'

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign train arrived Kaduna the capital of the old Northern region with a strong message for the northern poor popularly called the takalawas to vote out President Muahammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress, APC for dumping them after collecting their votes in 2015.

Speaker after speaker at the well attended Town Hall meeting at the conference center of the Kaduna International Trade Fair complex marshaled points portraying President Buhari as ungrateful political leader who abandoned the people who brought him to power.

The National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus told the crowd of pDP leaders drawn from all sections of Kaduna state that there is no blame for the North who voted for Buhari and apc in 2015 but having abandoned the people who brought him to office he should not be allowed to remain in office.

" Rather than care for your needs when he got your votes he came up with selfish polices that made the country headquarters of the global poverty..

" Under Buhari and the APC, your situation has gone from bad to worse, you lost your jobs because industries folded up, under his watch it has been endless blood letting and divisive policies that has left us more divided than ever.

"Atiku Abubakar, the candidate PDP is presenting to you to be the next President of Nigeria, will rectify everything, unite Nigerians, create jobs, open up our industries and tackle poverty squarely. He has the experience in both public and private sectors and is well equipped for the job.

According to a statement from his media office, the National Chairman told the cheering crowd that "Atiku is not an angry bitter man, he is a happy man who engages and relates with people of all divides"

In his own remarks, the Presidential candidate Atiku assured the people that his Presidency will restore Kaduna as the pride of the north by bringing back closed industries and provide jobs for the teeming youths.

The candidate also assured the people of Kaduna state who had earlier complained of insecurity that has displaced them in their homes that his presidency will ensure that the issue of clashes and violence in the state will be squarely tackled by his administration.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Yakubu Dogara told the people that President Buhari after coming to power through their votes turned his back on them and wondered what score card he can show that he attended to the peoples needs.

The former Vice President Namdi Sambo, two former Governors of Katsina state Ahmad Makarfi, and Rahman Yaro as well as the former Governor Of Katsina state Ibrahim Shema and the Deputy Director General of the Campaign Tanimu Turaki as well as the PDP gubernatorial candidate for Kaduna Alhaji Isa Ashiru all spoke on the need to turnout on Saturday to vote and defend their votes for PDP and Atiku Abubakar.

The high points of the well attended town hall meeting which featured questions from the various segments, the youths, the elders, the Women was the request from the physically challenged who told the Presidential candidate that they are tired of always getting personal assistants and Special assistants to the President that he should consider them on his swearing for positions like Minister of either Finance or Education.

The Candidate and his team also met with a section of market women in the state where he promised them of a Presidency that will create enabling environment for business to flourish.

Politics / Address By The National Chairman Of The Peoples Democratic Party by UcheSecondus: 4:52pm On Feb 19, 2019
Address by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus on the occasion of the 84th National Executive Committee (NEC) Meeting of the Party at PDP National Headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, 19, February, 2019

Protocols,
Preamble,
It is with mixed feelings that I welcome you to the 84th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of our great party – the People Democratic Party (PDP).
My hope was that our next NEC meeting, this one in particular, was going to be an electoral victory celebration; but it hasn’t yet turned out the way we anticipate it to.
Nevertheless, our victory is delayed, it cannot be denied.
In reality some anti-democratic forces cropped up to delay our victory dance but surely it would come because Nigerians have resolved and are determined to throw away the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
So instead of victory celebrations, everyone will be briefed on recent developments in our polity, especially on the issues used as excuses to reschedule the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

INEC:
In the course of preparing for this election we have had reasons to complain to the INEC and other critical stakeholders concerning developments we found injurious to a free, fair and credible elections

The challenge that we now face is one of expectation. Those entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that the expression of the people's will is made manifest, have time and again failed to demonstrate good faith. We expect better than we are getting,

A sick narrative has emerged, one of systemic and systematic rigging, manipulation of the true record of the voters register and a cabal you can no longer trust with the trajectory and growth of our democracy and Nation. This is the evidence of bad faith by those managing the election and the Government of the day:

1. Systemic Manipulation of the Voters Register

It is clear that INEC did not in fact do a cleanup of the register of voters before it published it
2. Abuse of PVC

The Voter's register contains the data of dead voters.
Permanent Voters Cards for dead voters were printed and distributed nationwide. .
We have evidence that over 1,050,051 dead voters will vote in this election.
The idea of ghost voters is consistent with the nature of this virtual President.

3. Registration of Foreigners as Voters

There has been a coordinated approach to register foreigners as voters, mainly from Niger and Cameroon.

That is why INEC has established so many polling Units along the border with Cameroon and Niger.

4. Manipulation of Security Agencies
As we prepare for the general elections on Saturday, multiple intelligence sources available to us in PDP, shows that All Progressives Congress, APC, in conjunction with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, through their ICT situation room have concluded plans to manipulate the outcome of Saturday's election in the followings ways.

National Campaigns.
Before last Saturday's botched election, the Presidential Campaign Council of our party had successfully conducted nationwide campaign.
But it is with great gratitude to God that I announce to you that the party conducted a hitch free campaign throughout the country. No violence or death was recorded throughout all our campaigns despite unprecedented turn out in our rallies.
Evidently, and from further feedback, I can with a sense of certainty state that Nigerians have resolved to return PDP to power, in 2019.
Overwhelmed by this reality, the ruling party, APC), decided to sabotage the Electoral body who had earlier played into their hands by allowing the cabals and other APC hawks to hijack the activities of the commission as contractors and consultants.

APC's Grandstanding
Beloved party leaders you may have been following the ranting of APC leaders since last Saturday, where they have been trying hard to extricate themselves from the mess that led to the postponement of the elections, but the more they try the more it became clearer that they were indeed a critical accomplice in the untidy outing of the electoral commission.
While the APC Director of Planning and Election monitoring, who is the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Barr. Babatunde Fashola SAN, and the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiohmole struggled to turn the mess of last Saturday away from their party through their various utterances, they end up exposing their involvement in a marriage that has gone sour. They still believe that they can deceive Nigerians into not recognizing crocodile tears from the real ones.

Buhari's Shoot at Sight Directive.
You may have been shocked like many other Nigerians to find President Muhammadu Buhari who has been virtually off duty since the needless bloodletting in various states of the country particularly in Benue, Plateau, and Zamfara yesterday at APC's caucus meeting in Abuja remembering that he is the Commander in Chief as he charged Nigeria military and Police to kill voters.
By that directive, ordering soldiers to kill our citizens with recourse to the law and with impunity, the President has unwittingly given license to APC leaders to carry military personnel on Saturday.
The agenda of that directive is clear, to scare away voters and agents, that we have directed to defend their votes, so as to give way to a military protected political thugs, to come into the polling booths, and implement their result replacement strategy. .
Last Thursday, 48 hours to the rescheduled election, it is reported that the Director General of the Buhari Campaign Organization and the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, entered Okirika in Okirika local Government Area of Rivers state with soldiers, and Nigerians and democracy watchers are wondering if this a new military strategy to rig . Bearing in mind that election are civil matters, and that law enforcement agencies usually electoral related issues, one wonders why our President called for the military to get involved in our electoral process.
Additionally, the Presidents body language alongside that of his party hierarchy, at their caucus meeting, appeared remorseless for the damage done to our democracy or the huge private and public resources wasted by the inability of APC hawks acting as contractors and consultants to allow the commission to operate.
I can indeed make the conclusion, that from inception, President Buhari, was not ready for free and fair elections, otherwise he would easily have signed the amended Electoral Act, which would have enabled peaceful and hitch free elections in 2019.
President Buhari’s disregard of institutions of states, which started with the attempt of the Executive to hijack the Legislature, has continued unabated, with the illegal suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Walter Onnoghen, and the swearing in of an acting CJN.

Notable issues that must be addressed

1. The non-deployment of military or paramilitary units to electoral duties as this is a civil activity, which the civilian police is best trained to handle;

2. Assurances from the Federal Government that all communication assets – fixed and mobile - including the internet, be not interrupted or compromised during the elections;

3. Additionally, those visible steps including restricting movement and closure of our national borders with the Republics of Chad and Niger, in particular, are taken considering the unnerving presence of the Governors of the provinces of Zinder and Maradi, on January 31st, 2019, during the zonal rally of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano state.

Before I end this address, I let me emphasize once again, that Nigerians are tired of President Buhari and the APC. Buhari why do you like blood, are God , certainly God will unseat you.

Besides, the PDP train is moving fast like running water. Therefore, we have enough impetus, from our teeming supporters across the country, to claim our deserving mandate.
A young supporter of our party who apparently is weighed down by hunger inflicted on the people by poor governance in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi state carried a placard at our rally with an inscription, "I will vote for Atiku even if it's with my blood".
That is the spirit of our members and supporters out there, and we have no choice but to provide them the needed leadership required to make Nigeria better.

PDP; Power to the People
Power to the People; PDP
God bless Nigeria

Politics / Buhari Is Inciting Military And Police Against Nigerians- Secondus by UcheSecondus: 5:02pm On Feb 18, 2019
.......says top APC leaders now licensed to brutalize the people.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has said that President Muhammadu Buhari in his desperation to cling on to power has given marching order to the Nigerian military and Police to help leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in cowing the voters.

Prince Secondus said that the President's remarks at caucus meeting of his party on Monday amounts to a declaration of war on Nigeria voters and a direct incitement against voters , the first of its kind in Nigeria, a President threatening the lives of her citizens.

The National Chairman said that by the President's directive the top leaders of the APC have gotten sweeping order to move about with the military at their constituencies to harass and intimidate INEC staff and the opposition agents with a view to scaring them away to enable them use thugs perform their result replacement strategy.

Last Thursday, 48 hours to the rescheduled election the Director General of the Buhari Campaign Organization and the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi entered Okirika in Okirika local Government area of Rivers state with a troop of soldiers moving like a General commander, ostensibly to scare away voters whom he knew were not going to vote for his party.

" The President's confirmation that he has directed the service chiefs to kill Nigerians is nothing but a pre determined script hatched by the ruling party to create voter apathy and implement their result replacement plans using thugs protected by the military.

He said that President Buhari has never been sincere in conducting a free and fair election, an impression he confirmed by his refusal to sign the amended Electoral Act which would have facilitated a credible polling in the country.

The National Chairman expressed shock that a Commander in Chief who has been out of action in numerous security challenges in the country particularly needless killings in Benue, Plateau, Zamfara etc and whose regime has recorded unprecedented bloodletting in the country would suddenly wake up threatening brimstone to voters.

"In all democracies world over, elections are civil matter that is usually handled by civil security like Police and wondered why the involvement of our military in this matter when they have enough security challenges to tackle.

The PDP boss raised a very vital question, whether the military belongs to Nigeria or Buhari and APC even as he advised the operatives to maintain professionalism in all their operations because history is recording.

.According to a statement from his media office, Prince Secondus said that instead of the President addressing serious fallouts from the botched general elections last Saturday where his party members who acted as contractors to INEC played significant dubious roles, he chose to threaten innocent voters.

The National Chairman said that from the mien of the President at their party's caucus meeting, there is no remorse for the damage done to nation's democratic credentials or the huge private and public resources wasted by the inability of APC hawks to allow the commission to operate.

Prince Secondus said that the President's action is all tailored towards his dictatorial statement to the international media that nobody can unseated him but noted that he is not God as Nigeria people have already decided to unseat him with Atiku Abubakar noting that the voice of the people is the voice of God.

Finally, Prince Secondus then urged the international community especially local and foreign observers to the Nigeria election to note the emerging undemocratic dispositions and threats from both the President and the APC.

Politics / Election Postponement, Buhari's 'crocodile' Election Postponement,tears-secondus by UcheSecondus: 6:11am On Feb 17, 2019
.......urges the President to respect the will of the people and stop pretending.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus says that President Muhammadu Buhari would be taking Nigerians to be fools if he thinks he will persuade anybody with his crocodile tears over the postponement of the general election four hours to voting time.

Prince Secondus said that President Buhari's spirited attempt to extricate himself from the electoral malady merely exposed the hypocrisy of his administration.

The National Chairman said that conducting a general election is the most important national assignment of any government in four years and for the President and Commander in Chief who is privy to every intelligence trying to feign ignorance of the challenge of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is the height of government insincerity to her people.

Prince Secondus said in a follow up statement from his media office to Saturday's shocking postponement of Presidential election scheduled for today that President Buhari's attempt to shift blame is not persuading enough to any discerning minds.

The National Chairman said that the events leading to the postponement could not have come to both the President and the INEC as a surprise given that the president's controversial niece Amina Zakari was the Chairperson of the Electoral operations and Logistics Committee possibly to ensure that the desired agenda is exceuted.

The PDP leader said that President Buhari's blame game is in line with his usual way of being unaware of anything happening around him and wondered what he is aware of.

He advised President Buhari to stop hiding under the cover of being unaware and accept the reality that he has failed woefully in piloting the affairs of this country, a mandate that was lavishly given to him by Nigerians four years ago.

The National Chairman said that the APC and the INEC should stop their hide and seek game and agree with themselves that what God has sealed can never be thwarted by any human scheming.

Prince Secondus said that Nigerians are resilient that President Buhari and his APC will be thrown out in their political life and no amount of underhand plan will change what has already been destined.

He then finally advised President Buhari to respect his age and status as an elder statesman and ensure that the will of the people prevails especially as his Presidency was a beneficiary of such political large heart.

Politics / Secondus Says PDP Rejects Shift In Election Date by UcheSecondus: 3:58am On Feb 16, 2019
.....says its Buhari's agenda to cling to power

.........calls on INEC Chairman to resign immediately

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has said that shoddy arrangement for this election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is a deliberate pre determined agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari to cling on to power even when it's obvious to him that Nigerians want him out.

Prince Secondus said that the postponement which is part of a grand design by the All Progressives Congress, APC, to thwart the will of Nigerians at all cost, clearly exposes INEC as a failure and calls on the Chairman of the Commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu to resign immediately.

The PDP leader warns that the party will not accept anything short of a well organized electoral process devoid of manipulation, harassment and intimidation of voters and the opposition particularly members of the PDP.

Having failed in all their nefarious options to enable them cling on to power, the APC and the INEC came up with the idea of shifting election an action that is dangerous to our democracy and unacceptable.

The National Chairman said that the APC in connivance with the INEC have been trying all options including but not limited to burning down INEC offices in some states and destroying of electoral materials to create artificial problems upon which to stand for their dubious act.

According to a statement from the National Chairman's media office signed by Ike Abonyi, Prince Secondus said that the party is privy to all the pressures from the APC and the federal government to arm twist the INEC, to dance to their new strategy after their earlier ones failed.

"With several of their rigging options failing, they have to force INEC to agree to a shift in the election or a staggered election with flimsy excuses pre manufactured for the purpose.

"For the avoidance of doubt the PDP sees this action as wicked and we are also aware of other dubious designs like the deployment of hooded security operatives who would be ruthless on the people ostensibly to scare them away.

He said that by the action of the President he has further demonstrated his insensitivity costing the huge cost after Nigerians including those who came home from abroad have all mobilized to their various constituencies.

The National Chairman recalls that the PDP had earlier alerted Nigerians that the APC was coming up with lined up rigging strategies including burning down of INEC offices and engineering crisis in PDP strong hold areas to scare away the people.

Prince Secondus said that the wicked killing of over 60 persons mostly women and children in Southern Kaduna on the eve of election is a copious ploy by the APC to frighten the people away from voting knowing too well that they were not going to record any vote from the area.

"Recall that the Governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir el rufai had earlier threatened international election observers of going to their country in body bags and with the fatal violence in the state on the eve of election, it's clear what the motives are, to frighten the observers from the state so that he can carry out his nefarious acts.

The National Chairman also drew the attention of all lovers of democracy to the statement of President Buhari on the international media that nobody can unseat him from office as an indication of what he wants to do.

Prince Secondus also regretted that President Buhari who made a promise at the signing of peace accord that the election will be conducted in a fair and transparent atmosphere has gone ahead in breach of the peace agreements to send soldiers and other security agencies to arrest, harass and intimidate opponents in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Kwara, Kano, Kaduna states.

Politics / Secondus To Ecowas: Inec Designing Special Card Reader, Result Sheets For Apc- S by UcheSecondus: 2:30pm On Nov 14, 2018
.....says APC plans to disrupt nine states for isolation

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has warned the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu that history will be unkind to him if he fails to conduct free and fair election in 2019.

Prince Secondus said that manipulation of election in 2019 would be a recipe for crisis in the country and the INEC Chairman will be held accountable.

The National Chairman who spoke while hosting Election team of the Economic Community of West Africa states ECOWAS led by Mohammad Conteh at the party's National Campaign headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, said that the electoral commission is working in conjunction with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to rig the election in 2019.

According to a statement from the National Chairman's media office signed by his media Adviser Ike Abonyi, Prince Secondus alleged that the Commission used the governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states as rehearsal to practice their rigging strategy for 2019.

"They have finished their rigging arrangements with preloaded cards and special election result sheets all doctored to Favour the ruling APC.

" The INEC Chairman has no strong will to follow our electoral laws and constitution as well as the laid down international standards in his processes towards 2019 and we want to let the World know this before it happens.

"They have finished plots to isolate states of Kano, Benue, Rivers, Buachi, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Imo and Kwara and Lagos for disruption during the general election so they can plan well to mobilize the rigging.

He alleged that the commission's rigging agenda is being propelled by the security agencies especially with the current Inspector General of Police who has proved to be the most violent bias Police boss in the country.

The National Chairman said that his party is using the INEC template they saw in Ektiti and Osun states to reiterate their lack of confidence in the commission as nothing has happened to show that there is going to do anything different from what they did in those two states.

Prince Secondus advised INEC to disregard the size of Nigeria and go to Ghana and pick some lessons on how to conduct free and fair election.

The National Chairman commended the Judiciary for standing up for democracy pointing out that without that arm of the government, the country would have been a banana republic.

Prince Secondus fielded questions from the five man team of the sub region body who through their leader expressed the need to have credible election in Nigeria as it would go a long way to deep en democracy in the region.

Politics / Display Of Voter's Register: First Step Against Rigging Starts Today- Secondus by UcheSecondus: 8:51pm On Nov 05, 2018
......charges voters to troop out and check their names.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has charged Nigeria voters to troop out to their various polling booths to check their names as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC displays voters register at all polling units across the country from Tuesday November, 6, 2018.

Prince Secondus said that the desire to rescue Nigeria from the clueless APC government would be meaningless if everything pertaining to voting is not sorted out ahead.

According to a statement from his Media office signed by his media Adviser Ike Abonyi, the National Chairman said the essence of the four days display as stipulated by the electoral act is to ensure that no voter is disenfranchised and this the first step to avoid it

He said that cross checking and confirming the details ahead of the election is a mechanism put in place to reduce attempts by the electoral umpires to manipulate the system by saying that names of voters are not available.

"By cross checking and re-cross checking, the voters wittingly would have begun the battle to frustrate rigging of the election.

Prince Secondus urged voters who notice issues with their particulars to cry out loudly immediately by going to the electoral centers to complain for rectification.

He said that part of the rigging strategy of the APC working in agreement with some INEC staff is to doctor voter’s lists in the opponent’s strong holds to reduce their electoral advantage.

The National Chairman said that the unanimity by majority of Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari and his ruling APC should be chased out of our political lives would have no meaning if we are not ready with the necessary weapon( our PVC) to do that.

"Please note that if you have a PVC and your name is not on the register, you are as good as a person who has gone into a contest he did not register for and expecting a positive result

Prince Secondus said that Nigerian voters should not take anything for granted if their desire to rescue our democracy is to be realized.

"If your team is going into a match you are sure you are better than your opponent and you are not sure of the neutrality of the referee, you need to play well win fair and square and block any room for manipulation"

Prince Secondus reminded the electorates to always
bear in mind that for the 2019 election what is at stake is not just democracy and the country, but their valued individual rights and interests.

Finally, the National Chairman charged INEC to ensure that the registers are not only displayed at the polling booths but that the correct ones to be used for the election are the ones on display.

Politics / Address Of The National Chairman Of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus by UcheSecondus: 9:41pm On Oct 06, 2018
Address of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus at the National Convention of the party being held in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. On October 6th and 7th , 2018

Protocols.

'Nigerians, take back your Country'!!!!

It is my pleasure and honour to welcome members of our great Party to this historic National Convention. About twenty years ago, our nascent Party, the Peoples Democratic Party gathered in the City of Jos, Plateau State, to discharge the historic burden of nominating a candidate for the 1999 elections.

In a keenly contested primaries, PDP laid the foundation of democracy by conducting a very transparent election.

On that foundation our Party restored democracy to Nigeria. We inherited a divided country ravaged by years of military rule and alienation by the international community.

For 16 years, we piloted the affairs of this nation without engaging in a needless blame game like we are currently witnessing. We rebuilt our foreign reserves. We paid off our London and Paris Club debt. We liberalized our economy, introduced reforms across public procurement, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications and the Public Sector.

We solved our national pension crisis through contributory pension scheme. We built the infrastructure for fighting corruption through setting up the EFCC and ICPC.

We transformed our logo, the umbrella, to a national metaphor for inclusiveness. We reformed the electoral process leading to the unprecedented win by the opposition in 2015

Our defeat in 2015 enhanced and entrenched our democratic credentials as the Party of democrats. It also humbled us and renewed our zeal to rebuild our umbrella of inclusion and hope.

On December 11, 2017, in my acceptance speech, after you graciously elected the current National Working Committee, I solemnly promised; quote “that all necessary steps will be taken to avoid a repeat of our past mistakes. Indeed, we have learnt our lessons and by this convention, we are now set to forge a new path for our great party and Nigeria" unquote

Exactly ten months after that pledge, I can with gratitude to God and in utmost humility report to you that the PDP of today is improved, enhanced and has migrated from an opposition Party to a ruling Party in waiting.

Our reform package anchored on the three pillars of “Rebrand, Reposition to Regain” (3Rs) has been very successful with the first two almost accomplished while the last, the regaining of power is also at the verge of being realized.

In our methodical manner and consistent with our pledge, the PDP is now in control of the leadership in the National Assembly. An unprecedented feat in our country’s democratic experience.

The Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives are with us here today.

The Governors of Benue, Sokoto and Kwara States are here with us today swelling the number of PDP controlled States.

The setting up of a Contact and Integration Committee led our Party to the ground-breaking working partnership with 40 other political parties under the umbrella known as Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP).

I am happy to report to you that our reform process is on. It has yielded visible dividends. The reforms will transform our Party from a successful electoral vehicle to an Agenda Shaping Institution ready to provide modern, inclusive and transparent governance fit for the 21st century.

Today we are gathered in furtherance of the third R in our reform program Regaining of Power. This convention is a crucial step in our unstoppable march to Regain Power.

PDP is an organic Party. It is not a Special Purpose Vehicle. It will outlive this Primary election as it has weathered the storm as a ruling party and an opposition party.

It is the Party with institutional memory and owned by Nigerians. Our candidate selection through indirect primaries at all levels have been marked by transparency, peace, decorum and credibility.

Today’s primary election for the selection of the flag bearer of our renascent and reinvigorated Party will be organised in the most orderly, credible and transparent manner.

The convention committee Chairman and Governor of Delta State Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is a veteran of convention planning and a respected leader of our Party. Under his watch this convention will be a reference point for a long time.

Your Excellencies, dear delegates, as you must have been following developments in our country, since our last convention, you will agree with me that all is not well with our nation.

The situation in our country today is very disturbing as the ruling APC has progressively shown in all ramifications that it lacks the wherewithal to manage this country.

In my travels around the country I see the hopelessness on the faces of our people from Zamfara where the people are traumatised by violence and wanton killings to Benue where the people wake up every day not sure if that will be their last day. Across the land the story is the same

Poverty ravages our land as economic mismanagement and lack of clear direction has reduced Nigeria to the global warehouse of the poor and dispossessed.

Fear envelopes our country as a tyrannical government turns institutions of state against the people. Business men are afraid to invest. Foreign investors and capital have taken flight to safety.

APC has since found out that while propaganda and deceit can fraudulently take you to power it cannot help you in governance. Governance has never been this bad in our history.

The three main areas of APC campaign promise, Security, Corruption and Economy have been anything but successful.

They have continued to use their so-called fight against corruption as vehicle for witch hunt and political intimidation. The APC has become a safe haven and an asylum for underhand politicians.

Unfortunately, the anti-corruption agency, the EFCC, set up by the PDP administration to fight graft in the system has made itself a willing tool helping the ruling party to execute their dubious agenda.

This government use of the EFCC to hound and oppress perceived opponents is a new low in our democratic experience.

Under the APC administration, corruption has become so monumental that recent Transparency International (TI) report clearly captured it to be worse under their watch.

Our nation has never been divided like it is today. Ethnic inspired appointments have swept away the years of inclusion under the umbrella. Ethnic tension is at its highest, turning age-long issues into new frontiers of violence.

The death toll from avoidable deaths across the country ranks us among the top three nations in the Terrorism Index. Our famed culture of forgiveness and short memory of hate has given way to a new hate filled politics of division.

Our economy has stagnated. Joblessness is at embarrassing level unknown to our country in our recent history.

Poverty has risen exponentially, leaving our people disillusioned and despondent.

Our youths described as Lazy by the divisive APC government continue to escape through dangerous routes from our shores in large numbers.

Today I call on our country men and women to rise from the valley of hopelessness to the hilltop of a new beginning. The new PDP is rising from the creeks of the Niger Delta to the destroyed savannah of Borno to renew our nation pledge.

We shall defend our unity by including everybody in the running of the affairs of our country. We shall uphold the honor and glory of great Country by restoring our sense of national purpose and destiny.

PDP will secure Nigeria. We will end the carnage in the North East. We will stop the bloodletting whether by cattle rustlers or farmer and herdsmen conflict through a law and order approach.

PDP will educate our youths. Our numerous investments in education over the years in the Country and expansion of opportunities through increased capacity and private sector involvement in education will be reinvigorated.

PDP will reduce Poverty in the land. We will return Nigeria to the path of economic growth from the current stagnation. We will work with the private sector to expand economic opportunities and create jobs for our most valuable resource: The People.

We shall rebuild the middle class that has been decimated under the directionless government of the APC. We shall restore the Mortgage system we started years ago.

The lease financing market that was taking root under the PDP will return to ease the burden on the middle class. Interest rates will move to levels that will sustain the real economy under the PDP.

PDP will run a government of inclusion. Our umbrella will return as the shade for Nigerians from all walks of life. The growing feeling of marginalisation across the country will reduce with our policy of national inclusion.

Your Excellences, our delegates, it is necessary at this juncture to inform you that what happened in Ekiti and Osun states governorship elections this year merely corroborated our earlier intelligence that INEC, security agencies and the APC are working together to undermine our democracy.

International election observers from United States, European Union and the United Kingdom, after observing the charade that went on in Osun state governorship rerun, in a joint press conference expressed their worry at the role of security agents in elections and questioned their neutrality ahead of 2019.

Our fear therefore is that the disposition of the President and his party is such that free and fair election is not on their agenda for the 2019 election.

However, we shall, together with global partners, use every democratic means to ensure that the Federal Government adopts democratic norms in the conduct of elections going forward

I salute the people of Osun and Ekiti states for their vigilance, bravery and courage that helped to bring to the fore the fraudulent rigging template of the APC government ahead of 2019.

( Just on Friday I led the entire leadership of our party on a peaceful march to INEC and Police headquarters in Abuja to o register our displeasure on the roles of the two bodies in the Ekiti and Osun states and to drop enough is enough warning ahead of 2019. While INEC welcomed us and took our message. The Police on the instruction of the Inspector General brutalized us with teargas canisters. Protest is a component part of democracy and no amount of threat will stop it)

I want to assure the people of Ekiti and Osun states that PDP is not a violent party and would use the legal process to recover our stolen mandate

The international community must note that the APC led government and the President has the lowest job approval rating recorded in recent times. International analysts, banks, respected newspapers and magazines are united in the single view that Nigeria does not deserve this type of government.

Before I end this address may I appeal to you delegates to note that the choice you make today from among our eminently qualified aspirants each of whom has extraordinary record of leadership achievements will go a long away in rescuing our nation from the inept governance of the APC.

Nigerians and international community outside this arena are anxiously waiting for your choice because they expect you to chose one who will defeat President Buhari in 2019 and go further to rescue the Country.

May I again reiterate to our aspirants that this Presidential primary is going to be conducted in the most transparent manner to make it a past setter in Africa.

However when we have finished our roles as human beings we must submit our will to that of God who it is that is the ultimate decider and this should be our guide as we accept the result that comes out of this process.

The simple message from across Nigeria and the globe is: President Buhari, it is time to go.

PDP is returning to help Nigerians take back their country. We are returning to stabilize Nigeria, to unite a visibly fractured country. We are returning to create a new Nigeria where peace and justice would triumph and where rule of law and respect for human rights will prevail.

P-D-P Power to the People. Power to the People- P-D-P

Long live Federal republic of Nigeria.

Thank you all and God bless
