No comment about this post even though I like it. I will rather advise all the single ladies in the house as though they were my blood sisters, especially the ones that are yet to lose their virginity. Keep your virginity until after your wedding. It is in your hands to do so. If the guy can not wait till after your wedding, he is not worth being your husband. Let him go. |
peachez'n'cream:What about the remaining 20% of your toasters. I guess they are single and searching seriously. I advise you to choose from amongst them. You can honestly choose only one person at a time. To me, being flashy means to be too artificial. Naturally or just with a little touch, you look beautiful. You don't need most of the over dressing or classy makeup. In the final analysis, all you need at any point in time is your confidence which only comes by being yourself. You are the only one that can truly define yourself. If it takes being too flashy to be your true self, then go ahead and be flashy. I bet there are several men out there who are single and seriously searching for flashy girls. Be consistent, they will find you. |
It would have been a better news if Frank had the heart to return to his first wife. Anyway, I wish him happy wedlock. |
Desperation. |
berem: I am sure the banks are all lined together on one street. I wonder why there should be 3 or 4 banks located in a particular street. Its an easy target for robbers to invade.it's also easy to provide security for banks and other institutions when they cluster together. Don't blame the banks for being together. A well coordinated attack can affect any number of banks if security is not adequate. It's sad that this kind of attack succeeded without a single arrest or even resistance from the police. |
sluggers: Jonathan cannot be trusted. He needs to admit he said this before he gains the trust of Nigerians again. There is nothing wrong contesting for second term but you should fulfill your promises and let the country knows if you change your mind. Simple as ABC........Most people are unnecessarily agitated. Jonathan denied signing any agreement which was the initial accusation. Now he is being forced to accept that he said he won't contest in 2105 even when he was yet declare his intention for said election. Will people allow him to work instead of distracting him unnecessarily? |

bigtt76: Hmm ... Dream revelation is from God Almighty but I will try as directed.Thank you. Your post has opened myself eyes a bit. The dream might be explaining something that happened in the past or something that will happen in the future. I'll still be praying. |
I'll really appreciate it if we have Nairalanders who can offer possable meaning of this dream. I hope this kind of post is not out of the scope of this section. I had a dream in the early hours of yesterday. In the dream, I saw myself set some items on a table and was selling the items to people at a market square in my hometown. I can't remember what the items were. At a point a girl ( I don't know who she was) came and requested that she help me sell the items. So I left her to help me sell over the weekend. During the weekend, I came by to see how she was doing. I met a crowd of people round a stump of an Iroko tree close to my table. In real life, that tree caught a mysterious fire last February and burned for days to the ground. In the dream, weeds had covered the leftover of the tree. I understood from people in the crowd that a snake was in the weeds on the tree stump. A man (whom I understood was brother to the girl that was looking after my goods) walked close to the stump, put his hand in the weed, pulled out the snake with a lightning speed and flinged it into the crowd. In the crowd, the snake fell on my ribs and I turned with a lightning speed to remove it before it was able to hurt me. As I turned in the dream I also turned with the same speed on my bed waking up. I immediately picked a lit touch that was on my bed and flashed it on the floor looking for the snake. Of course I didn't see it but the dream refused to leave my mind. I prayed over it but it still didn't leave my mind. I'm just bothered about what it could mean. I don't usually take dreams seriously but this one has unsettled my mind. Please help me interpret it if you know what it could mean. |

The Rivers State Police command has re-iterated its earlier stand that it will not open the Rivers State House of Assembly pending when it gets a certified copy of the Abuja Federal High Court judgment ordering for the opening of the assembly. Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ahmad Mohammad made this known to newsmen in a press briefing shortly after some lawmakers went to the State CID to sign an undertaking of good conduct. He affirmed that the police were doing everything necessary to ensure that the Assembly was safe for the lawmakers when they eventually resume sitting. He said anti bomb squad, sniffer dogs and C4i sections of the Command have been deployed to sweep the Assembly complex to ensure that there are no lethal objects in the assembly. He, however, warned that the police would not hesitate to enforce the law on any lawmaker who foments trouble in the Assembly. Meanwhile, the PPRO stated that the police are not interested in who is the authentic speaker of the House, describing it as an internal affair of the lawmakers. He warned all youths to desist from being used by politicians in the state, stressing that they were endangering their lives. http:///kNc02X2PD7 |

No wonder these despicable men impeached the former deputy governor without trying to investigate the accusations ORO made against him. They are under a spell. They, if not the whole state, need deliverance. |

Whatever the case may be, let's be praying for Karen. I don't think it's easy for someone to lie over his or her health. Any form of illness can get someone six feet below. Even ordinary headache had done away with people in the past. And people close to her should advise her to go to hospital instead of sitting at home posting on Twitter. The earlier the better. Prayer without work is dead. |

Decampees also said that their defection to the APC is in obedience to section 68, subsection 1G of the constitution. http:///5igAeCOtDO |
Atiku Moves To Join APC By: Bayo Oladeji, Donald Ojogo on December 18, 2013 - 4:19am Barely three weeks after the defection of five governors elected on its platform, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is faced with the loss of another major player, former vice president Atiku Abubakar. LEADERSHIP gathered that the nation’s former number two citizen had been under pressure to dump the PDP since the defection of the five governors - Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Abdulfattah Ahmed (Kwara) and Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto). As part of moves to firm up his possible defection, Atiku will today play host to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including former head of state, General Mohammadu Buhari, former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governors of the party, at his Abuja residence. Atiku’s Media aide, Garba Shehu confirmed his principal’s meeting with the leadership of the opposition party, but declined to comment on whether or not the former vice president would declare for the APC today. Although it could not be independently confirmed that the Turaki Adamawa (as Atiku is fondly called) would make a formal pronouncement after his parley with the APC leadership, a source confided in LEADERSHIP that Atiku’s move to join the party was encouraged by the successful merger of the APC and the Abubakar Kawu Baraje-led factional leadership of the PDP. “His mind and soul are all here because Turaki, as we all know him, is a progressive to the core. That is why his ideals and those of the leadership of the PDP have always conflicted. “So the nation, not only the APC, will benefit if he finally makes up his mind to join; and I am sure after our meeting today, the polity will witness another lap of a political race,” the source said. http:///sxj1PiY0Go |
INEC said elections will not be held in states under emergency rule. The Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, on Tuesday reacted to the declaration made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that elections would be suspended in the state if the state of emergency persists. Mr. Shettima said should elections not be conducted in Borno in 2015, it would mean the federal government has succumbed to the Boko Haram. INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega, had on Monday told federal lawmakers that the commission would not hold elections in any state under emergency rule in the country. The states currently under emergency rule are Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe. The Borno governor reacted by to Mr. Jega via a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Isa Gusau. “2015 is very far away for all mortals, only God, our creator knows who will get to 2015 and in what state of health. It is also Allah that gives power to anyone He wills at the time He will and how He will. “The INEC Chairman, a man associated with honour integrity, an erudite and respected scholar, Professor Attahiru to me, has not committed any sin by his proposal,” the governor said. “I commend Professor Jega for INEC’s early preparations. I also think he is being sincere because if he had an ulterior motive he wouldn’t reveal the issue now, he could have waited till when Allah spares our lives in 2015 and he would announce the exclusion of the states by which time, politics could be intense and every segment would be dealing with its own political issues.” Mr. Shettima said INEC had not foreclosed the possibility of holding elections in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa; and cautioned against not holding elections. “Suspending national election such as the 2015 in any part of the 36 States and the FCT on account of Boko Haram activities would amount to making the insurgents supreme over the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it will be defeatist on our part as a nation,” the governor said. “The goal of Boko Haram is to impose their beliefs on us, subvert our constitution and our democracy and replace them with inhuman laws that support killings and destructions; and should we suspend any part of the country whether in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa or any place at all from taking part in the 2015 election, the insurgents would be presuppose successes on their part and itching close to achieving their goals and we cannot allow that.” The Borno governor said there was need for everyone to work together to defeat the insurgents. “I expect that as a strategy, Borno and Yobe and indeed any place so affected by the insurgents, should be the main focus for conduct of the 2015 elections by the INEC so that we send a clear message to those who want us to go into extinction that we will not cave in to their violent needs, we will move on. This is why, governance hasn’t for one day, stopped in Borno State,” he said. “With Allah’s help made through the sacrifices, rooted support and prayers of our citizens, we have continued to rebuild and reinvent our very dear State. We would have been stagnant if we caved in to threats and by that, denied our citizens their rights to infrastructures and welfare services needed to improve their standards of living. I am very much aware of our constitutional and moral obligations to secure the lives and property of our citizens as a primary duty. We are working round the clock to live to that obligation no matter the circumstance and we will remain focused and committed. “I am eternally optimistic, without being blind to realities and challenges that with our determination, insha Allah Borno will be very stable sooner than later and pray it will be so across the country but even if need be, there could a special date for elections in these affected States such that there can be massive security deployment to man everywhere to ensure the smooth conduct of the elections, by that we will triumph over evil. But suspending the elections even in a polling unit mainly on account of Boko Haram will be a setback in the fight against terror, it will not be good for us as a country and it is bad for our reputation abroad. “I must say that our security men have done marvelously well, they are our heroes like our youths are even for their honour, we should remain firm as a resilient nation; suspending the 2015 elections in Borno will make mockery of the sacrifices made by those who laid their lives to defend our constitutional democracy; we will be insulting their memories that we should preserve. http:///9Zs09RriCd |
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said on Tuesday that it would conduct elections in states under emergency rule, if the security situation in those states improved. The commission’s spokesperson, Kayode Idowu, made the statement in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja. Mr. Idowu explained that it was obvious that elections could not hold under the present security situation in the states. He, however, said that the commission would conduct elections in the states if the security situation improved before the 2015 general elections. “It is simple logic that state of emergency is martial rule in which armed soldiers are in control of daily routine in these states. “So INEC cannot deploy its workers to these areas and cannot also guarantee the safety of the electorate,” Mr. Idowu said. However, INEC expressed the hope that the security situation would improve to enable it to conduct the 2015 general elections. Meanwhile, Alaba Yusuf, the Media Advisor to the Chairman of People’s Democratic Movement (PDM), said INEC should allow voters in the three states exercise their franchise. Mr. Yusuf also said that INEC should consult with the political parties before taking a decision to hold general elections in February 2015. The Chairman of INEC, Atahiru Jega, had earlier said that the commission would prefer to hold the general elections in February 2015. He said that the measure was necessary to enable the commission address likely challenges that could arise from the elections before the actual hand over to a new government in May. Mr. Jega also said that elections might likely not hold in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe in 2015. (NAN) https://www.twitter.com/PremiumTimesng/status/412963940641931264?p=v |

basilo101: APC and overtaxingThis is exactly how APC will rule Nigeria if we vote them. Because the banks refused to lend money to Okorocha, he decided to overtax them even while he is already on CBN debtors blacklist after already borrowing over N100 billion. Imo people take heart and take it easy. |
