Alright! Thanks very much for the info. Blessings! 😊 Duhreen: |
Hi Duhreen! Hope you're doing great. Can I please have the number you used to contact IRCC office in Ottawa? I've been trying to reach them. Thanks and God bless. 😊 Duhreen: |
Hi! Are you in Montréal ? Please, let me know if yes. quinstershaw: |
Someone had a UBA dollar account and couldn't use it of recent, and they couldn't do anything about it. Advice for free: ![]() Your fare is too expensive. If you're traveling next month, there are cheaper Lufthansa flights around 1000 dollars USD. Go to their website (or download their app for better and faster service). Look out for dates as from 8th of May, then book the cheapest with ONLY ONE transit in Frankfurt, so you wouldn't need the huddles of a transit visa if it's more than one. When you fill in all info and get to payment, just call Lufthansa on 01 461 2222 and explain that you are unable to make reservation, then tell them the date you chose and the amount, and ask to make payment in their account IN DOLLARS (they don't accept Naira, you'll need to go to your bank and withdraw the dollar you need for payment). If your bank gives you wahala of no dollar, please ignore them and go buy dollar at black market, if you have enough Naira. So, Lufthansa should request some ID info from you to complete your reservation and send to your email. Your BOOKING REFERENCE NUMBER will be there and that's what you'll use in the bank. Their DOM ACCOUNT is in Access Bank, make sure you have a pen and a paper to write down the account number they'll give you as well as the email to send proof of payment from the bank. After payment and sending proof of payment, they'll acknowledge receipt and your Air ticket will be sent to you via email the same day or two days maximum. And that's it! Booking from Abuja proves to be cheaper than Lagos (try that). This seems to be the best option for those without DOM ACCOUNT or with Dollar Card issues. Follow this advice and thank me later! ![]() Blessings! Lotusgoddess: |
Congrats! Please, was Yellow Card Vaccination a requirement for you to board and travel? Thanks. Thefrenchboy: |
Ok. And how did you pay? In Naira? If in dollar, with card or in the bank? Thanks. benedictuyi: |
Did you find out from them if you need a transit visa through Germany? benedictuyi: |
Hi Bamz555! How about after resumption date? Will a week or two be late or still ok ? Thanks bro. Bamz555: |
Wow, that's relatively cheap! But have you checked if you would need a transit visa to transit on Schengen soil? If so, have you gotten one. Cos, you won't be allowed to board and your money may waste if you don't have it. lamash: |
Somebody please help out with this. Can one travel without issues at the POE on the 9th or 10th of May , while the actual resumption date is 1st of May? Thanks a lot. Ucy12: |
Hi Nairalanders! Una help abeg... PhD student hoping to travel to Montréal by May. Resumption is 1st of May. If one travels a week after, like the weekend of the resumption week, so as to start the following week (one week delay), will there be any issues at the POE? * No required courses to take again upon resumption cos all courses already done online before now from Naija here. Remaining 2 years of research. But must resume this semester to complete the programme. Will not resuming May 1st create problems at the POE? Thanks for your input. Blessings! |
Okay Bobomaigida. Thanks for the info. How easily can I reach them for a quick response, since I'm quite far away from Lagos. Thanks. Bobomaigida: |
Okay! Merci pour l'info. Mes études sont entièrement en français et c'est au niveau doctoral. ![]() Are you already settled in Québec ? drhammed: |
Make use of Kijiji, you should be able to secure one. https://www.kijiji.ca Blessings! Best256: |
Hi Nairaland house! I need some help abeg. @Bobomaigida @ Bullstriker and other great minds here... I want to find out about Biometrics in Passport Submission; even though I've not reached the level, but asking so I can be prepared and act fast when I get there, because of time. I did my Biometrics in 2019 when it was paper submission at Lagos VAC. I had a refusal though, and my passport returned to me. I also had a refusal in 2020 (online application). Now, upon Original Passport Request this time, will I need to pay transmission fee if I submit to same Lagos VAC where I did the Biometrics? *Note that I don't have the slip given after biometrics. I only have biometrics letter. Your answers will go a long way in helping me prepare. Thanks so much for your contributions. Blessings! |
Best256:Concordia should be in Montréal. I'll be heading to Québec City. Booked your flight already? What date and how much? |
Best256:Yes. |
Thanks so so much for the info. I'm really grateful. Blessings! Bamz555: |
Greetings Nairalanders! Abeg somebody help out... IOM Abuja insists in coming with physical (paper) proof of payment but the bank (Standard Chartered Bank) has no branch where I am. Can I make a transfer directly into their account with my bank app or go to my bank to make the transfer? Or must it be paid directly into their bank? Those who've done medicals in IOM Abuja should please help out on how they paid. Thanks so much for your time. Blessings! |
Me too, I have same question. The bank doesn't have any branch where I am in Owerri and they insist in coming there with a physical (paper) proof of payment. I am wondering if one can transfer from his own bank. Please, those who've paid to IOM Abuja for medicals without paying directly into the bank should help. Thanks so much. yamunla: |
Thank you very much for your response. I appreciate! But is the option of just going there in person to do the medicals workable? Just is case one is given a date too far. Bobomaigida: |
Me too! Wondering if one can just go there and be attended to. Republic001: |
It's a pity we have come to this as a nation. I think the FG/CBN are targeting visa applications these days or something... I had same experience with my UBA USD Card too. Several declines. Someone tried helping me to pay with another bank's USD Card too, but same thing. So fraustrating! I had to contact someone in the US to help me make the payment, and it went smoothly. Just that you will have to release info of your account, and then stay online with the person to give further instructions, especially the security questions. Try get someone overseas to help you out. Wishing you the best. Blessings! benedictuyi: |
Greetings House! Abeg, is there anyone who went to either Qlife or IOM and was allowed to do medicals without prior appointment? As in, just a walk-in thing. Booking an appointment with them from their website dey really give wahala, and I live far away in Owerri, Imo State. Somebody help and advice what to do. Thanks Nairalanders! |
Republic001:Hi! I experienced same issues sometime ago. If you bookmarked the webpage on your browser, remove it. Go to your browser's setting and delete every cache. You may also go to your browser's browsing history and delete all your visited IRCC account webpages. Also make sure every related page you opened in the browser is closed. In other words, start afresh. May be by googling gckey (if that's the account you use) and then get to the sign-in Interface to sign into your account again. I hope this helps. Blessings! |
Hi Nairalanders! Abeg, I need help! I had refusal in 2020 and soon reapplying. Am I to use the same GCkey account I used during the last application? Thanks for your help. Blessings! |
Okay bros, Thanks so much. Blessings! Cuppycak3: |
Oh I see! It means I have to make a request then. I thought one could use the ones they send on monthly basis via email. Thanks so much for your reply. Bobomaigida: |
