Give us the name of the schools and their locations. The kind of churches we have in our campus, no institution in the south or Christian dominated areas will allow Muslims put up such in their school.

I give you as an assignment, check the whole of southern Nigeria , if there's any mosque occupying the swathe of land chapel and the Catholic Church in A.B.U Zaria are occupying. Check again to see if any mosque of that size has been put up anywhere(they've not allowed this). Go to Kongo campus and you'd see another mighty church there. Go to that same campus and see the mosque.

Have you forgotten in the SW of those days, students with Muslim names were forced to remove it before they could enjoy free education or admitted into the missionary schools? Do you know how many Muslims in such schools were forced to say the Christian prayers and other Christian stuff they recite at the assembly ground?

Sanusi lamido attended a Christian primary school( St. Ann or something) and he was made to be part of everything even as he's a Muslim from an Islamic royal home?

There's no public institution in the Muslim dominated areas(north in this case) that does not have mosques and churches.
There is no government school in the north where Christians are forced to wear hijab. If there is, give names and locations.

I was the Muslim "corper' liaison officer in my LG where I served, for years, Muslims have tried to put up a place to pray and this has been rejected by the locals . This happened in abia state . So many other ugly story from other Corp members who faced worst experience cos they're Muslims.

I've been to every state in the south, and even did my service there, so I know what I'm saying. I won't sit in my room and bring up conjecture just like you're doing.

First of all, I have always maintained that Muslims choose profession that would allow them practise their faith.
Secondly it's important to point out a false analogy by most non Muslims with regards to hijab. It has come to my notice that whenever the issue of hijab comes up, people begin to ask questions such as; is she the only Muslim, should reverend sisters dress same way when called to bar, what about the ifa worshippers, should they dress in their masquerades to bar.........


I believe the reason these irrelevant questions are asked is due to the fact that non Muslims do not really understand the concept of hijab in the life of a muslima (female Muslim). perhaps when they begin to see things from our point of view, such questions would not be asked in future.

The hijab for a Muslima is not an optional dress. It is not worn to show piety. It is compulsory for every adult female Muslim (Muslima) religious and not religious, beautiful and ugly, sinner and pious ........ A Muslim who has been brought up in the way of the DEEN (faith of Islam) or who is cautious of her creator (Allah) would feel naked whenever she is without the hijab. Now ask yourself this : how would you feel been deprived from covering your unclothedness? A non Muslim might ask, how is not covering the hair, head and neck equal to being naked? It doesn't make sense, right? Wrong.


it doesn't make sense to you same way many things in practised by other faiths that are not even mandatory wouldn't make the slightest of sense to a Muslim. So if we can learn to understand even though something doesn't make sense to us, then we would always live together in peace and harmony.


It is equally important that I address the issue of comparison to hijab. PLEASE NOTE THAT HIJAB IS NOT LIKE THE DRESSES OF IFA WORSHIPPERS OR OTHER FAITHS OR EVEN THAT OF THE REVEREND SISTERS.
The hijab is a directive from the Muslims' God and it is to be worn at all times by all adult muslimaat (plural of female Muslim). Is there any faith in Nigeria that makes it compulsory on its adherents to dress in a particular way at all times ? There isnt. This is why Muslims are the only ones advocating for the use of hijab whenever issues such as this come up.

if we can see how important something is to a particular set of people, we would be able to compromise and respeCT their wishes that doesnt affect our freedom and this is the foundation of living peacefully.

Believe also in me, for in my Father's house (referring to heaven) are many mansions, if it were not so I would have told you as you know my manner of life and personality since I've been among you. Therefore, I go to prepare a place for you and be certified that I'LL DOUBTLESSLY RETURN AND TAKE YOU HOME SO THAT WHERE I AM, YOU WILL BE ALSO!!!!

There are many Muslims that fornicate, consume alcohol and do all forms of fawahish (evil things (rough translation)) and there would always be. So using them to support your claim is illogical.

Seun. I believe this restrictions need to be revised. I have come to believe that this law on declaring one's faith as Islam before commenting has over stayed it's usefulness. I believe the new Christians on this forum shouldn't be punished for the sins of their brothers in faith. I think you should talk to your mods and see the best solution in tackling this issue. It's been unfair to Christians and non Muslims in general.
