tosnat: My brother...I have used the lg optimus..its cute but wont advise you to spend on it....don't know about the Samsung but my candid advise is that since you are after an entry level smartphone,go for a Chinese brand like tecno because they offer more value for money at these prices.. Better specs and cool accessories..

The reknown brands are just good at the flagship level but I won't even buy a Samsung flagship device when I can get a gionee with same or better specs half the price.am quite experienced with these devices cos its been a while...

Buy neither fones..go for tecno or gionee...you won't regret it.

@mcbussy.its true that you can't install apps on memory card the the l.g and Samsung.. Am very sure. Of that..you need to be sure of these things before you score another fellow.. I used the optimus for quite some time..you just can't download to memory card..except media... So you get to use a limited number of applications and have to frequently clean up RAM.. What's the joy in that?

A Chinese brand will permit you to move apps to s.d card...your phone will retain its brilliant performance and with a gig of ram..you are just so on point...

Mcbussy: i partially disagree with u.on ICS and jellybean u can choose to install apps on sd card.all u need to do is set it as ur preferred instalation memory.theres a place in ur settings where u can select dat,dsame place where u set ur device to accept instalation of apps dat arent from playstore(sideloading).its only few apps like bbm and antivirus softwares dat compulsorily installs on phone memory.

look at this,they v striked a lot of times in d past(9 months,6 months,5 months,3 months,and currently six months),that s really sucidal,from d previous strikes,the infrastructure of our schools hasnt that improved,and our schools are still rated lowly in africa and d world..each time they strike,they always fought toe to toe with d fg....and now again,we are not sure they wont even strike in a year or two again...they are hindering the education sector while claiming they want to improve it...my point is ur support of ASUU would have been fair if they are striking for d first time.
i hope nxt year,when ASUU go on strike again,u will be here supporting them as this....

keeping students at home 4 six months,and still being proud of it is incredible...they deserved olympic medals..
