It will be very difficult for a southerner to vote for kwankwaso. |
For some days now I've been fixing some liquid damage boards, all I just have to do is wash it with thinner ,use the rework station to dry it probably and it's back to live. Most users believe that as long as it is still working, then there's no need to fix it, when liquid get spill on your laptop,it might not cause any problem immediately but will definitely cause a lot of damage to the motherboard. I was working on one recently, after taking out the motherboard,I noticed almost all the ICs were damage, pins connected to the motherboard from the ic were damage as well. The motherboard was irredeemable, the user had to get another motherboard. Another one is a shorted board, some engrs or user will come to you and say he was only trying to fix the keyboard or screen and the laptop refuse to power on after that, most times this usually happens in laptop with inbuilt battery. The thought of loosing the screws and removing the battery before fixing the screen or keyboard always seem tedious, well most times it always end in tears. The funny thing is , unlike old models that always end with the SIO getting short to ground, the newer models with Soc chipset always get short instead, where you have the CPU and PCH on one chip, when the PCH is short, you will end up replacing the whole chip. Well only a few engrs own a BGA rework station because it is very expensive, the only option you will get it to replace the motherboard. So always make sure you take out the battery before anything. |
Part number : 6050a2728501 Fault: Dead ( no power) The engr brought this case for repair, this is a typical fault of most HP elite book , this then to happen a lot on folio 9470,9480, 840 G1, 840 G2 ,840 G3 and even zbook because some zbook share the same motherboard with 840, though they come with graphic chip. The motherboard doesn't power on but when the CMOS battery is removed and charger is plugged in, it powers on and shutdown after 2-4 secs. Base on experience, since there's no schematic for this model yet. The power button voltage was reading 0.750v which is abnormal,it should be 3.3v. Check the picture to get the trick. Mobo works fine after that.

javaguru:Connecting the screen to the keyboard? I don't understand, well the problem might be from there. |

javaguru:There's a magnet around your laptop top casing (screen) this magnet when it comes in contact with the lid_switch transistor it goes to sleep and when you open it ,the light comes up.(3v when it comes in contact,it drops to 0v) Probably there's a problem with that or do you wear a ring that is magnetic? Well the best thing to do is take out the frame and remove the magnet ( note that your laptop won't be able to sleep) but your display adapter will be fine,no need to uninstall it. If you have screw driver or any little iron that can detect a magnet, move it around your screen frame,if it magnet then that's where the small magnet it, then opposite it when you close the lid is where the lid_switch transistor is located. |
dostr4:See a laptop technician. |
Lol..this man ehn. |
dostr4:Take out the battery and press the power button down for like 1min , then connect the charger and power it on. |
vickydevoka:Na hotels full Delta,na one of their major investment for the state be that,so dem go get people with a lot of experience wey go like work for other states. |
Tokskob2008:Yeah most Nigerians sabi hoard information ehn. |
petrderbikov:Does not work? It should,on some laptop, you have to change some settings on BIOS setup before you can install the operating system. |
Talentuex:Well it depends on the model of your laptop,on newer models you need internet to drive it,the regular driver pack doesn't work,in fact while installing the operating system, you won't see the SSD unless you install a particular app in the bootable flash drive ( mostly HP 11th gen laptops) Well I believe you can see someone that will do it for less,if you're in lag you can reach me on 08064724259 |
petrderbikov:Reinstall the operating system if you don't have important files. |
MarveworldG:Not all, especially the new laptop, you can use the adulterated ones, your product key will make it genuine, they use product keys. |
Osnami:On that page, locate legacy support, enable it and click on F10 to save. Then 4 numbers will appear on the screen, press it on your keyboard and click enter. Now the thing is if your laptop operating system was installed via legacy, it won't boot on UEFI mode,so you have to enable legacy mode. Now if after this your laptop still can't boot to windows, it's either your operating system is corrupt or your laptop is not seeing the HDD. To confirm if it recognises the HDD, click on f9,you will see the name of the HDD or SDD depending on the type it is using. |
BlessedHay:Concerning the stolen items ,most of them don't know it is stolen until it gets to Nigeria. You see a laptop on eBay, clean and Windows is loaded,it boot fine and all that, the seller won't show you that part or tell you it pops that out when connected to the internet. Even if he contacts the seller,he will tell him to return it ,now returning it to US/UK can cause like #25k-30k in naira. That's lost on his side , instead he will rather bargain with the seller,he makes probably $20-40 refund and he use it to remove it,and that's if the seller is nice. On the part that he can't refund, well that's bad but to be honest only a few seller with a good heart will make a refund, they will rather replace than refund unless if you're a soldier or you have someone that is a soldier and can cause trouble ![]() |
Subsidywise20:No wonder. |
Lol.. I'm shock ooo ,Buhari no attend? |
buchivik:Ok then, might be from the BIOS but definitely not hard drive. |

Richcreed:Being a racist is all about being African? Balotelli dey play for Africa? Evra dey play for Africa or from Africa? |
They don't like the black man. |

coatofwealth:It is anti-theft lock, immediately you connect it to the internet it will pop up. It will still be in good condition as long as it is removed, computrace can be a bit difficult to remove but it can be done. I removed one on Lenovo T480s some day's ago, different brand with different level of difficultly. If they can't refund your money, why not give you another laptop instead? |
Nice one from him, if we continue to do this to our doctors I believe most of them will want to stay back instead of traveling out. |
