FYI, I am not from Enugu but I do know that Enugu is not a village. I grew up there and they have developed even better in different aspects. There are people who can afford to have laptops, computers, in Enugu so if free WIFI is provided some places they will benefit. Yes not everyone can afford laptops or whatever but that is progress that we should encourage not dismiss with one brush. Its a damn shame that we are even discussing this issue 2008. I do have friends who  I still communicate with via-internet and they reside in Enugu. Its good for education and having access to information. The power issue is a separate issue that should also be solved and yes with no power there will be no internet but that should not stop them from working on that.  Just coz Odili messed  up in Rivers does not mean that others will also mess up. Please explain to me how Ojukwu was responsible for war crimes committed by Nigerian troops.

Was he the one that used starvation as a weapon of war and blockaded Biafra?

Was he responsible for the 20 pounds given to Biafrans after the war regardless of how much they had? My parents and my sister lived through that period. My brothers who were born a few years after that could still see the effects of the war around them. Basically,I do not know why the Igbos are always trying to show themselve up, they are very strict about strangers in their community, they do not easily accept other tribes as a matter of fact. they will hate you  for not being igbo, they are confusionist, who do not even like themselves, they will destroy this wounderful thing the forefathers have built. 
I strongly agree with the Obong to please keep them where they belong, he was very kind to allow them in the Obongs councel, my great grand father and grand father who were the Obongs would turn in their grave to see this happen but it has happened and the Igbos should be grateful for that. They will never allow a chief that is not igbo to be recognised how much be a member of the Ezes council.

Not once did I hear or see Igbos making their lives hell. I know some Efik/Ibibio folks that lived there and they speak fluent Igbo. What are u blabbing about? I am Igbo myself and I don't hate other Igbos. I even communicate and try to learn different Igbo dialects.

Their are non Igbos appointed in many state positions with large Igbo population. IF Igbos are unaccommodating I don't think that will happen. Igbos and Ibibios have always had a good relationship. Even during the Aba women's riot in 1929 Ibibio women joined Igbo women in the struggle. In Biafra Ibibios and Efiks fought gallantly on the Biafra side.

Okay now I got ur point and I do agree with you that the Ogoni struggle was a peaceful one but Nigeria responded with violence and mass slaughter against them and have continued the same trend with other groups such as MASSOB. I watched the video about the genocide in Ogoni land back in Nigeria as a kid. It was sickening. Nothing was left untouched. Even goats, chickens, etc were slaughtered to further punish and starve the surviving population. What a sick government.
