saintkeppy:Okay then the Father made a good choice. He deserved it and he worked hard for his victory. The good thing is that he was not complacent because he was anointed by his Father and predecessor, He worked hard. I'm an Akwa Ibomite and I've seen that man's Hardwork. He has the potential to excel in the higher ground of politics where his father's pedigree cannot bring him favour. |
MEGA4BILLION:Okay, but what I know is that He deserved it and he worked hard for his victory. The good thing is that he didn't depend on His Dad's antecedent. He has the potential to excel in the higher ground of politics where his father's pedigree cannot bring him favour. |
sykeng:Agreed. Messi is not better than Ronaldo and Ronaldo is not better than Messi. They're good players period. |
MEGA4BILLION:My Brother that man is from Nsit Ubium in Akwa Ibom State and I'm also an Akwa Ibomite. The father's name didn't put him there, He worked very hard. He consulted virtually everybody in Akwa Ibom State and most notably, he is very humble and sociable just like his predecessor Hon. Onofiok Luke. Based on his Hardwork and Loyalty he was endorsed by many including his predecessor who has great influence in his constituency. Despite the fact that Aks is PDP, The young man didn't rely on that but he continued to work hard. |

Is jamb required for Noun application for admission? |
I agree with Itse on this. Youths should struggle for power and not making noise on social media. Youths should try as much as possible to be independent of the influence of analogue politicians |

Everybody keeps saying that Nigeria is problematic. On TV, Radio and public discussions we keep hearing people talk about problematic issues bordering on Nigeria. Leaders of the country (past and present) have identified some of these problems and proffer possible solutions but the implementation of these solutions has been far-fetched. My observation about the whole scenario holistically is that most people especially the FG don't really figure out the problem of Nigeria. NIGERIA'S PROBLEM - THE PROTOTYPE Nigeria's problem is like a tree with stems and many branches. My observation is that FGs (past and present) keep on cutting the branches which only grows back after a while. The more efficient way to solve Nigeria's problem is to cut the stems of the problem and then uproot the problem (the uprooting process will be gradual and time consuming but completion will be certain). What does these literal branches, stems and root mean? It simply means that there are root problems in Nigeria which were unchecked, they grew to have stems and then branches. It was only when the branches became conspicuous that Govt realize the problem but they can't even trace the problem to the root. They only spend so much time in cutting the branches which will sprout again in a short period. THE REALITY In a practical example, high crime rate is as a result of unemployment and greed which is eventually traced to corruption and lack of formal and Informal training. Let us shred this into comprehensible pieces. First of all, you rarely find an employed graduate to be an armed robber. Most Criminals are those who lack formal and informal training, when this deficiency is interplayed with unemployment criminality or other dubious activities becomes a good option. Research has made me to realize that the following and more are the root of Nigeria's problem. * Tribalism, Nepotism, favouritism and ethnicity. * Religious divides * Unhealthy opposition by political parties * Corruption * Lack of informal and formal education * Lack of patroitism The effect of the above root problem causes the following stem problems: * Hate speeches and actions * Economic woes * Unemployment * Embezzlement There are more, these problem further begets more problems (branches) e.g high crime rate, inflation etc THE PANACEA I always like dwelling on the way forward (solution) and not on the cause and effect. Nevertheless, it is important to know the cause in order to realize a feasible solution. These are what I want Nigerians to do: * All hands should be on deck irrespective of party, ethnic, tribal divides. Great men in the country and outside the country especially should sit at a round table and discuss the future of the country. All sentiments, personal interests and ego should be laid aside. Nigeria was great in the days of the founding fathers, that was because they were patroitic and selfless. * It will be very difficult or nearly impossible for Nigerians who were born in corruption, drank corruption, eat corruption and grew in a corrupt environment to change Nigeria positively. If there are any of such people, they are few and are not ready to be politicians. In this case we need a blueprint from developed countries. Let us emulate the pattern of developed countries. * Nigerian political parties should place patrotism first before party interest. It amazes me when opposition parties will be meting out unconstructive criticisms all the time but when they seize power they make the same mistakes. Ever since Clinton lost election her party is just quiet and observant, checking on the mistakes of the present govt and seeking better ideology that will launch them to victory in the next election. In Nigeria opposition parties spend their idle four years in criticism instead of strategising on how Nigeria should be made better. * Another is that successive govts are inconsistent especially when the opposition party is succeeding. They will end the good deeds of the previous govt and start the same thing afresh. For example, what is the difference between Sure P and N-power? It's the same initiative. Why should the current govt start the same thing afresh. Another is in the power sector, the previous govt was able to generate 10,000 MW of power, that is commendable. We know that the minister was that of PDP but patriotism and not politics should have made APC retain the minister at least if not as a minister but as an advicer (formal or informal). Now look at the power sector, poor performance. As I am typing this there is no light since yesterday. * Muslims call themselves religion of peace while Christians believe that Love is the greatest commandment. It is lucid that the blend of these two esteemed features will produce a society of united people in diversity. If we cannot practise our religion well then let's discard it and stop being hypocrites. * It is awkward that a Masters degree holder in French Language is our minister of Agriculture, you know others. Quite a square peg in a round hole. Our political parties prefer to ruin the nation than to abandon the habit of favouritism, nepotism and tribalism in appointments. Political parties should bid for experts in running the sectors of the country and also allow them to display their expertise independently. It should not be a situation where you give them conditional appointments. * Finally, education, knowledge and research are the pillars of development of any nation. Government should invest in education and research. In a practical example, when people are empowered to research there will be discoveries which will lead to establishment of companies. These companies will create massive employment opportunities which will invariably reduce crime rate. These companies will provide social amenities without waiting for govt because they know that their business environment needs to be in good condition for their buisiness to thrive. Lastly, research will midwife technologies that are required to make the country a developed one. Please share this message and let Nigerians have and build on this ideology, thanks. Lala, Mynd, Ishilove and other Mods please push it to FP. Thank You |
